I pronounce pirarucu about five different ways in this video... sorry for the confusion. Black Jack set me straight with the pronunciation at 09:37
KMSL, did you get right at lest once, ha ha ha 🤪
@@gaylecheung3087 That was the idea haha!
Those boots are sick I like the toe shape. That leather is really soft.
No worries JC, I like the way it sounds when you say it at various tempo's. 👍
all good
Those boots are true conversation starters.
Good ice breaker 👍
Very happy you finally have a Pirarucu boot. I love the skins and agree with your description of them. Thanks again for another fantastic giveaway. We appreciate how hard you are working for the boot community! 👏🏻👏🏻
My pleasure! Thanks buddy!
Thank you so much!!!!! 🐊 Jeremiah for everything that you do and as a musician myself you have great talent.
Man these boots are just awesome, Black Jack did a great job on this boot as they do on all the ones I’ve seen so far, great video, it’s awesome they are willing to do giveaways with these boots!!
100%!! I'm very excited for this
I just had to rewatch this video again! Great review. This one is definitely on my radar!
What shocked me the most is their customer service experience you had. You'd think a company that prides itself in their boots would be open to questions and happy to assist.
Hey Wes, This is Tim from Tim's Boots. Black Jack is a manufacturer and doesn't sell to the public. They are wholesale only so they don't deal with customer questions. They sell only through qualified retailers. I get what you're saying. I am sure however that our team found the answer to Jerimiah's question and was able to satisfy his needs. Tim's Boots prides itself on giving top of the line customer service and our team has many years of experience. Maybe Jerimiah will let us know what his question was so we can all learn. Bet it was an obscure question
@@TimUrling1 hey Tim! Thanks for you feedback. Hopefully you didn’t think I meant this towards you, I’ve heard nothing but great things about your customer service. I was referring to BlackJack, but I understand your point of view. I simply feel even as a wholesale retailer, that they might indulge a customer that might want to know more about their products versus implying they’re wasting their time. But no doubt, I’m sure they make a fine boot since they have so many fans. I appreciate your input though 👍🏽
@@wesmedel1259 I do get your perspective and appreciate your feedback. Some don't understand that some businesses choose to be wholesalers so they don't have to deal with retail customers. Don't know what was said, maybe they had a bad day (fight with the wife?) But you're right no excuse for bad customer service.
(replying here as well. What I've included below is also on other threads in this comment section)
I don't like that part either and I wrestled with keeping it in.
I've made it a responsibility to share the experience I have with a brand. The boots mostly but how the brand treats people is important too. I do this because how a brand communicates can make people excited to buy boots. That's why some newer brands are so successful. Personally, I don't want some newer brands to be as popular as they are because there are much better boots out there for a similar or cheaper price. It is one of my goals to share good quality brands people can get excited about.
In my experience, people who are excited about brands call those brands sometimes to get more information. Whether they are on UA-cam or not. This is a big reason why newer brands are successful. All they do is answer people's questions. I'm happy to share which questions I asked. I only didn't in the video because I felt like it didn't matter as much as how great the boots are. Especially since people are buying through you anyways. Still, people will call Black Jack sometimes too. It happens.
I asked Sergio about the details around how much bulge the outsole has compared to other brands and why it's like that and then I was going to ask if they felt it necessary to do double lining inside depending on how fragile the pirarucu leather is but I didn't get to because he cut me off and ask me to call you guys instead. So I did call you guys and asked Steven answered while he was driving someplace. I asked him about the double liner and he said he didn't know and would have to call Black Jack. Steven called me back within the hour and he was still traveling too. He said he talked to Black Jack and they didn't use the double lining on the pirarucu because it's durable enough on its own. He also explained that when Black Jack does sometimes use double lining they definitely don't use pig leather because it doesn't breathe as well.
I already had Sergio on the phone before so I thought it was strange for this to happen. Especially because Steven was so busy already but still called Black Jack. The whole thing didn't seem necessary and could've been done much sooner rather than getting someone else involved.
I'll let you and everyone else decide if those questions were too obscure or not. It's honestly not up to me. Both made it into the video so I thought they were interesting enough to talk about and I hope it helped get some people excited about the Black Jack quality because it is ridiculously awesome. If some people did find it obscure, then I wanted to make it possible for them to skip ahead to the giveaway information which I have cued up in the timecodes on purpose so my criticism section of the video would get less views to those folks who found the questions obscure. I can see an average of how much people watch in my analytics so I know people skip ahead to different parts of videos because it's more valuable to them and that's cool.
Black Jack will get calls if they have their number published. I understand their business model and how you are the retailer. Still they have their brand online and have made themselves available. Someone else not on UA-cam could've had the same experience and thought it was just as weird as I thought it was. Maybe some people would be fine with it which is cool too but everyone matters. New companies realize this and are taking market share from great brands like Black Jack. These customers would rather have an exotic from a lesser company than a truly well built boot like the ones Black Jack makes. I want people to experience these amazing boots but so many traditional companies can't communicate well. It's not just Black Jack, Boulet is guilty too which I've also talked about on this channel. They have been for years. I've heard some traditional companies complain about the rise of these newer brands but all they need to do is try and act like they care to capture more market share for themselves. That's all I want for everyone. I'll make a follow up video if you and others find it necessary. Talked about what I wrote here in the video but I deleted it because I didn't think it would be in the industry's best interest.
This was my entire thought process behind leaving that part of the video in. I hope we can continue working together. It's truly a wonderful opportunity to help folks get excited about great boots with TimsBoots.com.
Jeremiah
I agree with you Jeremiah. There is nothing wrong with calling a company up and asking questions about their products, especially if they make the number available. I can't count the many times i'm checking out some boots or what not and wished more information was available about how it was made. Sometimes they don't even explain why it's named the way it is or describe what type of leather it is. It would be cool if boot companies would have a pamphlet or something about your purchase and a description of all those details collectors enjoy learning about each product. A catalog of old boot models and their info would be cool too.
It's a BAD SIGN when a company considers it a waste of time to answer a customer or prospective customer's questions. If they are only available to take the money then there are plenty of other High Quality Boot Makers with better Customer Service Skills to give the business...

I agree with you. It could be the difference between a lifelong customer with repeat business or someone boycotting you out of spite.. Some people only drive GM or Ford..
Love the shafts. They aren’t too wide and I like the flatter top.
For real! They make a good porpotional boot
Thanks for the content! I bought a used pair of ostrich leg lucchese boots on ebay after watching your episode on that subject. A good buy and wish I'd have tried that sooner.
Love the break down and glad to have your channel! Keep up the great work!
I like that the outsole probably keeps the stitching safer from wearing out too soon
It's such a good design and build. Black Jacks are amazing!
BRO THIS IS EXACTLY THE BOOTS I BEEN LOOKING FOR. I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO FIND A PIRACUCU BOOT BUCKAROO STYLES. WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS ITS THE HEELS.
Those would look really good with a light blue jean. Hopefully Black Jack will come around with their customer service. Goodthing you found a store like Tim's boots that'll go out of their way for customer service. I'll make sure to check them out for my next pair!
Super awesome video, particularly on the adventure where you were testing those boots. I really like the color of the boots.
Thanks LC! Glad you liked it
Bro they look really cool i just like them a lilbit pointer, greetings from Chicago!
@My name is Nobody cool, just a lilbit not too much👍
One of the great things about Timsboots is that you pick the toe and heel style you want, even the color of the welt stitching. Out mottos.. Boots exactly as YOU want them!
Great looking boot & the build quality is Top Notch! Should last a lifetime, with good care & conditioning. Thanks Jeremiah for another great review & to Tim's Boots for making this Giveaway possible.
How can I get an additional entry for this giveaway contest JC?
Man really appreciate the look 🙌
Those are really nice looking boots and I agree with you about the toe shape.
The v toe is moneyyyyy!!! Thanks for watching buddy
Wow they look really comfortable to wear
Just purchased a pair and they are spectacular!!
Those are really good looking boots! I've never thought about big bass boots. Love the looks but I wonder about the durability of big bass! Thank you for letting us know about the durability!

I love my Black Jack Boots. I have had great experiences with customer service.
Awesome review. I wear boots all of the time and to hear you say that these let your feet breath is astounding. Might have to drop some $ on them if I don't win a pair.
good luck everybody!
Good luck!
These are gorgeous, I’ve been wanting a pair of pirarucu boots for a loooong time but the budget just won’t allow for it
Yes an American made boot now I really want it
A lot of times that's what makes or breaks a boot for me. I prefer American made, but Mexican made boots are also really nice.
This boot is seriously great American quality
Those are so cool man! adventure boots right here!
haha you know it!
Boots are great, but the bunghole is an amazing name for a liquor shop!
I love that little store haha! Thanks for watching buddy!
Awesome looking pair of boots!
I've been waiting for this.
Me too! 😅

Excellent boots, never seem that leather on a cowboy style only on the square ones with the plain heel.. nice style to show us 👍🏼
Thanks! Glad you liked it

Cool looking boots!!!

Sick video. Those pirarucu boots are gorgeous in v toe. I just got some ostrich boots so I have to wait a bit for another pair😔
Gorgeous boots man gettin a nice pair of Ariat Heritage Round Toes on the 20th usually a square toe wearer so I can't wait for sumin new God Bless Jeremiah 🙏
Very nice presentation, gotta say I really liked it. I sure could use a pair, as I'm bootlegs & bootless after breaking the toe & tearing my meniscus. Lol, my luck hasn't been good.
Tough luck Broken Toe Jimbo! Here's hoping your luck turns around on this giveaway
@@JeremiahCraig Hey, there's going to be a song about "Broken Toe Jimbo" one day I hope! Lol
Hey Jeremiah, couple questions for you. You said these were custom basically? Do you know which stitch pattern you ordered on these? Really like the look of 'em. Also, how long did they take to build them and get them to you?
Lastly, in your rattlesnake video you praised them for their sizing. Do you find that they fit true to size?
it's interesting to contrast the European development of the all boot compared to the Americas
I agree. Even some custom boot makers on the east coast USA use some european methods. I think I want to put a panel of pros together sometime and have them discuss the differences
Those are fantastic looking boots! Love the heel and as you mentioned, most pirarucu boots have wide square toes and a double welt. These are a great change from that. Have heard about Black Jack, but have never tried them. Believe you suggested going down a half size from your normal boot size, correct? Fit wise, what brand would you consider them similar to? Great video BTW!
Depending on the toe shape you choose you may want to size down. Best to talk with the pros at Timsboots.com. I don't get to try many B widths I've found these are similar to my Tony Lama sizes
@@JeremiahCraig Great! Will do. Thank you!
Those are awesome looking boots. The sad part of this is the fact that Black Jack’s Customer Service is not willing to talk to and answer their customers’ questions. Not only for someone interested in purchasing their boots but for the boot industry itself. Especially if it happens to be someone who has not worn cowboy boots before but is interested in learning about them so that they would feel much more confident in purchasing their first pair of boots. Good luck everyone. Thanks to Tim’s Boots and Jeremiah Craig for doing this giveaway.

Great choice these Jeremiah cowboy boots, with some wear they will look very class!! The leather looks soft and supple and comfortable! This was my entire thought process behind leaving that part of the video in. I hope we can continue working together. It's truly a wonderful opportunity to help folks get excited about great boots with TimsBoots.com.
Jeremiah
Give em another call sometime to see what happens lol
Hope I win those pair of boots this time ,was sad last time that I didn’t win
Another chance coming right up! Good luck
Is the upper the anthracite goat mad dog?
Kick ass man
🍻
Nice!
Was lookjng at the construction and thinking “Wow, this is really well made, this has to be a $650 boot.” Oops.
Inflation is real!
@@JeremiahCraig as they say, let's go brandon
By Merlin's beard! Are those boots amazing, always wanted a pair of pirarucu boots.
Good luck in the giveaway!
@@JeremiahCraig thanks man!
does anyone know what color are those pirarucu boots? i wanna order some in square toe in that color.
Cognac
How would you condition the boot ??
I have a video about this going up later today
That's a nice boot. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Very dressy though, I'd have nowhere to wear them. My JW Ostrich are "dressy" enough for anything I might need.
It's not about "need" when it comes to these boots haha 😂
I could not find the form to fill out for giveaway
There's a little arrow on the right side of the screen of you're on mobile. Press that and it's the first link in the description of the video.
Que bien bonita botas compa🖑👌👍

It would be cool to own a pair of real exotic boots, goodluck to y’all 👍🏼
Not gonna lie they are pretty but the prices goes for almost the 40% more and that is way to much than other brands Cody James are amazing and they sell for 499 , horse power by Anderson beam great boots run for 400 , Los Altos boots amazing too and 450 , all this on pirarucu leather ,if y’all leave o have a way to get some don cuco boots in Mexico they go for 250 costume made 🤤! Jeremy I love your channel I will love to see a review on don cuco boots dare you !!

Form for boot giveaway
How do we get confimation we signed up? Also awesome video
I see you on the sheet sic. No worries you're confirmed in
In your personal opinion are these boots $2-$400 better than the Los Altos, Wild West, etc brands I see on yeehaw cowboy’s website?
Yes but they are made different so it depends on what you like. Black Jack boots are more traditionally made with a hard leather insole, channeled welt construction and no cork filler. Los Altos use more modern methods of construction and use foam cushioned leather insole, cloth rib/welt construction and cork filler. That's why Los Altos are less expensive but some folks will like them better because of the cushion and price point. Here's more about different constructions: ua-cam.com/video/vUg1ne2Do28/v-deo.html
These are rare to find in pointed all you can find is square toe
Looks like a beef wellington from afar
this is me playing RDR2 on pc spending 15 minutes on whether or not to buy a certain cowboy boot...
I read this as “black jackboots” and thought “have we really come to this already?”
No thanks haha!
great video
Sad to hear about their customer service. I was about to buy a $2k pair of Black Jacks... looking like Lucchese it is!
Tims boots has a ton of boots to pick from and you can customize some of their boots. PS hope I win! LETS GO Brandon
What color is the leather?
Cognac!
@@JeremiahCraig thanks!!
I didn't know you could get leather from a fish....
It's a monster fish
These boots are about $930 now. I’m eyeing them awful hard still though, but inflation sucks!
It really does. Don't forget about my 10% off code though. That will make them $837. Still an investment but it's one of the best boots I've ever tried
@@JeremiahCraig I’ve got the code saved and I also signed up for the rewards plan they have and I’m up to $25 off coupon I believe as well! Appreciate you and this channel!
@@JeremiahCraig pulled the trigger! Thank you for the coupon code and this video. Sold me on the Pirarucu. Got it down to $834 out the door with a estimated 20 week build time. Didn’t go as full custom as you did as I noticed a pair in a sample photo I loved and just put in the heel and toe I wanted and left the coloring as is. Thanks again!
I think I won size 11D please..
Hi Jeremiah, I’m unable to complete the form to enter your contest for the Black Jack Pirarucu Boot Halloween Giveaway. Can you provide assistance at all?
Been watching you channel for a while now, been subscribed for a while as well, and comment every now and then. I’d sure love the opportunity to win a pair of those amazing looking boots.
This giveaway is from last year and ended. Here's the current giveaway I'm running for the next 2 weeks ua-cam.com/video/x6ruanZCwpU/v-deo.html
@@JeremiahCraig Bummer I missed it! Those boots are Amazing looking!
Thank you for letting me know. Apparently I’m not Mr. Current Affairs lately. I hope whoever won a pair has a huge smile on their face!
Can you provide the specific options you chose for this particular pair of boots?
I think the color/shaft options combined with heal & toe you went with just made a really sharp looking boot!
Theo
Just entered hope I win
Good luck!
just not excited about the contour of the front of the boot and how it strikes the ground when you are walking - seems to not just be ready for prime time
It'll flatten as part of the break in
@@JeremiahCraig well Jeremiah - you know I'm kinda partial to the Lucchese Pirarucu I bought in Nashville last month - they are are just now gettin' broken in - feel like a glove - and er' body is trying to take 'em from me -- LOL Nashville Lucchese said tell Jeremiah howdy!
First time I’d seen one with a round-ish toe. Every other model I’d seen was square toed which I don’t like. Sorry, too scary looking for me!
One of the great things about Timsboots is that you pick the toe and heel style you want. Out mottos.. Boots exactly as YOU want them!
@@TimUrling1 I laud the company policy about the choices available. However, it’s the pirarucu that creeps me out. Again, sorry!
@@edgy8481 They're a bit much for me as well. They look cool but I stick with something more conservative myself. I'm eyeing a pair of Black Cherry Buffalo / Bison boots for my next pair. My wife would not be happy to hear me say "next" pair
