Alright, well, it seems that some things I said were edited out, but I mentioned how I didn’t know why I should be ranking these skills as an American. To be honest, this was quite awkward for me to film, and I hope you guys weren’t offended. I’ll be sure to check the video topics in the future. 😅 -Christina 🇺🇸
It's okay it's not your fault, Christina. It's the content creator's fault
Lol I thought it was fine. Esp since the channel itself is Asian.
@志瑜杨 yeah but this channel generalize Asians. Like using chopsticks is only for Sinosphere countries China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam. Why do Southeast Asians and even South Asians like Indian and Bangladesh guest is in this episode and have to come forward too?
@@ChristinaDonnelly it's ok Christina...SE Asians like Indonesia and Philippines love white ...they treat your people better in their country
The title should be changed to: American ranking who most closely matches the Asian stereotype?

This is Korean propaganda channel, so “Koran is always the best in Asia” is more accurate
I don't think chopstick a symbol of asian? Because asia so big, maybe chopstick just famous in japan, korea, china, vietnam?
Yup. Just the Sinosphere countries.
If that was the case then nothing would be Asian other than geography.
Americans think Asia = East Asia, it's silly tbh. There's no single Asian identity as the continent is very diverse..

Using chopsticks is not a culture of Southeast Asian, South Asian, West Asian, Central Asian. Only East Asian use chopsticks
@@1dsugar661 the jungle azns always get triggered about everything
exactly, East Asian and Vietnam
• The “Asian” Squat: Squatting toilets are still common in Indonesia, but they’re becoming less frequent in places like shopping malls or hotels. Dry sitting toilets are just easier to clean and more hygienic. Squatting while using the toilet is actually better for your health, but it’s not always practical for everyone; overweight people and pregnant women, for example, often find sitting toilets more accommodating. That’s why sitting toilets are more widely accepted these days.
• Chopsticks: I wouldn’t call chopsticks a definitive symbol of “Asian-ness,” as they’re primarily used by East Asians. Like Stefanie said, when we’re not eating with our hands, our utensils of choice are spoons and forks. We do use chopsticks occasionally for Chinese-influenced foods like noodles, spring rolls, and dumplings, but it’s not a universal practice.
I don’t think these two things can define who’s the “most Asian” among Asians. Asia is a massive continent with a vast diversity of cultures, customs, and ways of life.
With some practice, most people can learn to do a deep squat. For many individuals from Western cultures, the challenge often comes from not having squatted regularly, as they tend to be more accustomed to sitting or standing when resting or waiting. As long as there are no physical limitations, such as stiff ankles or high arches, most people can manage this position. The main difference is that in some cultures, squatting has been a common practice since childhood, even in public spaces, so people’s bodies adapt to it over time. In contrast, squatting is less common in other cultures, where it may not be seen as an everyday activity.
Ultimately, it comes down to personal ability and what is considered normal in different societies. In cultures where squatting is less common, it may not be practiced as much, which influences how easily people can do it. But with enough practice, most people are certainly capable of achieving it.
I saw those toilets all over west Africa as well, when I worked there, although that was 30+ years ago.
@ Yes. Referring to it as the “Asian squat” is problematic. As someone in the comments pointed out, Slavic people can also squat like this. In fact, anyone with good ankle mobility and who regularly practices deep squatting exercises can achieve this position. Not just in Asia (which is really a home to a diverse range of cultures), this type of squatting is also particularly common in Eastern Europe, where it remains a more ingrained habit than in Western Europe.
@@kilanspeaks I completely agree with you and yes, exactly.
@@kilanspeaks Seldom seen that in eastern Europe, I must say. But I've seen it with the Sami people in northern Europe (here in Scandinavia) as well as in west Africa (my job in the 80s). Not as common as it is in Asia though, where people seems better adapted for it (long torso and short legs).

Vietnamese, Yue Chinese, Min Chinese, Korean, and Japanese were all influenced by Middle Chinese, because their ancestors travelled to the capital of the cosmopolitan Tang Empire to learn more about Buddhism. Mandarin originated from the northern Central Plains (#) after the Chinese Empire had essentially abandoned it. The Han Chinese (Song, ) ceded more and more northern territories to the Khitan (Liao, 遼朝), the Jurchen (Jin, 金朝), and the Mongols (Yuan, ). Mandarin is a mix of influences from Middle Chinese of the Han and the languages of these nomadic and semi-nomadic peoples. Transition to the Manchu (Qing,) added more non-Han influence to Mandarin. and it continued to develop distinctly from the peripheries in central and northern China. After 3rd Ming Emperor Yongle ( aka ) moved the capital to the north, China's capital remained Beijing up to the present day, aside from the ROC period (1911-1949), and Mandarin's prestigious

and besides that, many people don't know that eating food using bare hands also has benefits. But again you wash your hands before eating. Please search either via AI or Google what are the benefit.
