That’s the legendary Chris Cornell. The other one is the just as legendary Eddie Vedder.
XOXOXO Seatlle
Cornell in "Sound Garden" and "Audio Slave". And Vedder is in "Pearl Jam". You've reacted to two of those bands. Run it back bro. Get deeper in those artists. They really are legendary.
Seattle does it better..👍👍

VaIium yours?
Too bad Chris Cornell is no longer with us. What a voice
medicms2001 and his lyricism
best voice in the universe.
Preston! You are an absolute legend! Having so much fun watching you discover my heros for the first time. It’s like watching me when I first saw them. Dude, what’s crazy is the second vocalist that you speak of, you’ve already reacted to him. I think you’ve reacted to the other vocalist too! The second vocalist that sings the killer high notes...that’s Chris Cornell. He was lead singer of Soundgarden, Audioslave (you reacted to like a stone!). He recently died of suicide. Like many others, was devastated. The other vocalist is Eddie Vedder, lead singer of Pearl Jam. I think you’ve reacted to them at least once. Temple of the dog was a supergroup that formed for one project. They did this song and a few others. Another great song they did together is “say hello to heaven”. The group was formed as a tribute to their friend who had just died. His name was Andrew Wood and he was lead singer of the the band “Mother Love Bone”. They wrote the songs to memorialize their friend , and then went back to their bands. Eddie and Chris remained friends until Chris’ death only a few year ago. One last thing: if you like Chris Cornell, my absolutely crucial recommendation is to listen to his cover of Prince’s “nothing compares to you”. It 👏 will 👏 give 👏 you 👏 life! Many thanks for your channel, my Friend!
😥
Hey Bossman: I’m so glad you finally reacted to”TEMPLE OF THE DOG”. I think you would love this whole album it’s a masterpiece.”CRIS CORNELL” was a great song writer and a beast on vocals.Someone suggested “CRIS COVERING PRINCE”,”CRIS DOES A COVER OF “BILLIE JEAN”, by”MICHAEL JACKSON”. I also suggest”SOUNGARDEN”,Songs are”Rooms A THOUSAND YEARS WIDE,NEW DAMAGE,SLAVES AND BULLDOZERS,OUTSHINED,RUSTY CAGE ETC........THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
After Chris left us Eddie sang this song at a concert for him and just sat there and cried.
They were good friends for 30 plus yrs. He has not been the same since. None of us have.
Couldn't find this one, but I did see him performing Black as a tribute. He ends the song with "Come back". He wants to sing it again, but the tears got the best of him and he couldn't finish it.
NO we definitely have not....never will be. 🖤
Still crying.
Chris died exactly 1 year and 1 month after my mom which hit me harder than any other loss of a musician. I had loved Soundgarden since I was a kid and had their music in heavy rotation while grieving for my mom. It was helping me because of their dark lyrics. Helped me feel less alone. So for Chris to die and see his family in that same pain broke my heart. What an amazing human.
Whenever Chris sang, wolves around the world bowed their heads out of respect
The howel from Seattle
Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and Chris Cornell of Soundgarden (the higher pitched guy) Awesome bands
Amen to that brother !!!!
legends
along with most of the band of Pearl Jam
Hey Preston, someone probably mentioned this already but Chris Cornell started this band as a tribute to his close friend Andrew Wood from Mother Love Bone who od'd. For this song he was having some issues with the lower register vocals. Eddie Vedder was in the studio because he went to Seattle to audition for the band that would end up being Pearl Jam (who are the rest of the guys on this song). He walked up to the mic and started singing with him and this ended up being the first time his vocals were recorded for any record.
Chris Cornell, Soundgarden and *Audioslave*
"Who is this guy right here?!" That, my friend, is the late, great Chris Cornell of Soundgarden/Audioslave. RIP. The other guy is Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam.
Couldn't have said it better myself 💀🤘
The One and Only, Chris Cornell!!! Oh, ya, and this other guy.....
@@nick7597 lol 💀
@@nick7597 Disrespek. Vedder is a grunge god too
Amen brother! Teach it
That's Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) on the lower vocals and Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave) on the higher parts. Two legendary vocalists of 90s rock.
Audioslave isn't a 90s band... their first records came out in 2002 or 2003... just sayin
@@frankgerber8126 This is a troll... right?
@@frankgerber8126 You must be a troll.
It don't matter Bois. Chris was amazing period.
Frank Gerber, reading comprehension is your friend, you should try getting some. The OP didn't say Audioslave was a 90s band, he said Chris Cornell was a legendary vocalist of the 90s. He merely added the bands Cornell was in so that Preston could look him up.
6:04 that amazing moment when he get smacked in between the eyes with that Chris Cornell power.
YES!
Check out Temple of the Dog "Say Hello to Heaven"
I second that!
Say hello to heaven is super fire
I dig “say hello to heaven” a bit more than “hunger strike” but both are classics
One of my favorite songs of all time ✌❤🎶
He'll lose his mind on that track.....
Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder... Great combo
Damn great combo 💔
Chris and Layne way better
You fell in love with Chris Cornells voice and didn't even know it was him singing. It's a beautiful thing isn't it my friend
Dude forreal. I heard "Like A Stone" on the radio like 5 years back and I can't get enough of Chris Cornell's voice. Started listening to his older stuff as well. His voice along with Vedder's is the epitome of grunge. When he died I actually felt sad (even though I was barely getting into more of his music) because he was dealing with so much issues and he had an insane pokerface to the point where you couldn't tell something was wrong. The world lost a great voice.
@@_Hissatsu You should check out his later stuff too. Soundgarden's last album King Animal is so underrated as was his solo career. Everything Audioslave ever put out is good
@@enriquesmom5506 I'm always down to listen to new or old music. I'm definitely listening to that Soundgarden album! 😊😊
@@_Hissatsu let me know what you think. It's a bit hard to find. It's not on the main streaming sites but it is on UA-cam I'm pretty sure. It's more complex album musically and lyrically. It's one that takes a couple of listens
@@enriquesmom5506 i will for sure! Found it and saved it on UA-cam. Gonna listen to it tomorrow while I draw 🤟
There will never again be a voice as epic as Chris Cornell's.

Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder. They forme TotD as a tribute to a dead friend. The whole album is a bliss.
Yes it is. My favorite album of all time.
If it wasn't for this album Pearl Jam wouldn't exist
Great fuckin album
@@bluedemon218 a weird coincidence is, 6 days before this song was released, the young man Jeremy Wade Delle who inspired the song "Jeremy" had shot himself in front of his class.
Wrote for Andrew Wood of Mother Love Bone. Check them out sometime, they rock! I have their shit!
Its Chris Cornell. You reacted to him on AudioSlave "Like a stone". He was also in Soundgarden. The other dude is from Pearl Jam his name is Eddie Vedder.
^This, so this.
@@maddogpcgs ???
@@DanieGirl78 was agreeing with your post,
It kills me that some refer to "Soundgarden" as Chris Cornells "other band"
Joshua MacDougall- gotta tolerate the newbies....
Drummer Matt Cameron and lead vocalist Chris Cornell are from Soundgarden, Jeff Ament, Mike mccready, stone gossard and eddy Vedder are from pearl jam. Both groups unite to make a album. Supergroup called Temple of the Dog! Rip Chris Cornell
That’s glossing over a cool/fun part of history this project was responsible for. Pearl Jam didn’t even officially exist when this was recorded & Eddie was flying back & fourth between Seattle & San Diego where he lived. Jeff Ament & Stone Gossard were part of Green River & Mother Love Bone together but Mike McCready wasn’t really even established yet. TOTD was his first real recording experience. It was this project that solidified what was to be Pearl Jam & Eddie becoming their lead singer. 😊 👍🏼
Chris Cornell (RIP) from Soundgarden and Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam are the 2 vocalists
The late, GREAT Chris Cornell. THE GOAT!!!!! 🔥🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼
You've got to binge Soundgarden and Audioslave.
I was at that Soundgarden show in Detroit the night Chris Cornell passed. THE voice of my childhood, as well as the reason I ever picked up a instrument.
Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell. 2 of music's greatest voices
Cornell > vedder
Staley n Vedder( young Eddie)
Watching this guy discover this song takes me right back to the first time I heard "Hunger Strike." I must've been in my 20s. For some reason I stopped breathing watching his face, the power and emotion of a generation reflected there, and realized I was crying.
Hurts my heart that we lost Chris
The story behind this band, a tribute to Andy of Mother Love Bone.. so much here. RIP Chris Cornell, Andrew Wood.
I don't know why but every tribute song for Andy Wood are best songs ever.
Black by Pearl Jam at MTV Unplugged please bro
Kevin Villalta I’ve been asking for it for months I truly hope he sees this
Yes King KTF please react to this

One of the greatest duettes of all time.
R.I.P Chris Cornell. No one sings like you anymore...
Also by Temple of the Dog, check out "Say hello to heaven". Chris Cornell kills that one too.
He sure does
Luke Dalton He honestly kills every single song on the album. My personal favorite album
Say Hello 2 Heaven, Temple of the Dog
Outshined, Soundgarden
Show Me How To Live, Audioslave
I Am The Highway, Audioslave

I love seeing people react to the music of my childhood for the first time. It takes me back to the first time I heard it.
Absolute magic.
The legacy left by these guys is huge, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Audio Slave, you name it men....All these guys made these bands.
Chris Cornell was a legend. One of the best voices ever. So incredibly talented. RIP.
Yeah. Pray that talent like that comes back one day
Temple of the Dog was a Seattle scene "supergroup", Eddie Vedder never forgot that Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave) brought him in and "introduced" him to the world before Pearl Jam had even finished their 1st album. Eddie looked at Chris as a big brother ever since. *"Say Hello 2 Heaven"* by Temple would *BLOW YOUR F'ING MIND,* and would be a good choice coming up to the anniversary of Chris Cornell's untimely death. 🦋
Say Hello is so incredible
@@billekeman5412 It truly is. 🦋
Chris Cornell. The Legend! One of the best voices in rock but we sadly lost him in '17.😔
The song began with Chris Cornell of "Soundgarden", "Audio Slave" and "Temple of the Dog" and then Eddie Vedder of "Pearl Jam" joined in. Then they began switching back and forth. Chris Cornell had the higher vocal range. Hands down he was and is my favorite vocalist. Chris Cornell RIP.
Both Eddie Veddar and Chris Cornell has haunting voices like layne Staley of Alice in chains!!
Temple of the dog is a super group made up of members of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, the singers are Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam and Chris Cornell from soundgarden
Technically it wasn't a supergroup as Pearl Jam was formed while it was recorded. Stone and Jeff's former band Mother Love Bone wasn't well known until after this and the movie Singles and its soundtrack were released.
@@johncampbell756 Exactly. Cant be a super group if you arent famous/popular yet. They were barely discovered at this time. Noone really knows of Mother Love Bone. Andy Woods was supposed to be in Eddie Vedders place

Something about seeing someone discover music I grew up with for the first time is so much fun! Preston also has a unique and positive way about himself that makes watching his videos equally fun.
I love this guy! Such a cool dude. He certainly picked some masterpieces
Lol . probaly the best reactor ive seen for music. love ur appreciation for the art....
Chris Cornell is his name.
He Also sings for
Soundgarden and Audioslave. Eddie Vedder is the other vocalist.(Pearljam)
The entire Temple of the Dog album is fantastic. While Say Hello to Heaven is amazing, my favorite track is Call Me A Dog, which is both musically, lyrically and emotionally soul-crushing in a beautiful way. Times Of Trouble and Wooden Jesus along with Say Hello to Heaven are masterpieces as well, imo.
Nobody talks about Times of Trouble but I think Chris sings his ass off on it. It's also sad since he didn't heed his own advice.
Call Me a Dog is my favorite track on that album. Second after that is All Night Thing. But honestly the entire album is just fantastic.
The lead singer was Chris Cornell. Rest in peace. you should check out his other band Soundgarden. they got some lit songs like black hole sun. audioslave is another good band he was in. i am the highway is one from them. check em out sometime!

❤❤CHRIS CORNELL & EDDIE VEDDER❤❤ Preston, you hit on a song that defined the decade!!
Watching you realize that it was two vocals (Cornell/Vedder) was the best part. 💯 true reaction.
This was the most perfect Grunge song in the 90s & still is in 2021.
Seattle kid here. Chris will never NOT be missed. He was the voice of a generation.
Chris Cornell was one of the greatest vocalists of all time, brother. His work with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, Audioslave, and as a solo artist are all fucken amazing. Travel down that Cornell road, my friend...it's a road well worth your time and discovery.
It was Chris Cornell from soundgarden screaming... The other guy is Eddie Vedder the lead singer from Pearl Jam... You did there song Garden and you loved it
Shalom! Every time I hear this song, it reminds me of my daughter! She's was 11 months. She Love this song! Every time Chris Cornell sang, hungry. She would sing hungry.
It was a great time to be young,im now 54 :( but at least we had fucking good music back in the day
So true!
You have just witnessed the power of the Grunge era!! The friendship between all of these bands was unheard of!! As sad as I am that most these these awesome souls are gone now. I am glad they lived among us!! Much love!!
Mountain man just like Layne Staley and Scott Weiland
Mountain man .... true that
I know I miss them too, but to think how awesome it is to have that legacy where everyone can enjoy your talent and work even after you pass. I think that's the ultimate success you could have.
The same thing was occurring in the Bay Area Scene as far as the friendship, and was an important moment in musical history as well. I feel privileged to be a kid back in these days.
So much good music!
Rod Turner I’ve lived my whole life in the Bay Area, Nice to see someone else from here shout out the scene
Remember you did Like A Stone - Audioslave. He's the same guy, Chris Cornell.
He's considered to be one of best if not the best rock vocalist of all time. He has an incredible range and control over it.
You should really listen to Black Hole Sun from Soundgarden (he was associated with 3 bands and a solo artist as well). Gasoline, Cochise from Audioslave.
Chris Cornell (the second vocalist is Eddie Vedder from Peeal Jam. Temple of the Dog is the collaboration)

Solo song just before he died. Not country but kinda close, maybe “Americana”. The Promise ua-cam.com/video/tEpwvvyrAJU/v-deo.html
My song from Audio Slave is 'Be Yourself'
Dude, as much as I love Chris, better than Axl, Freddie, Kurt, Robert Plant ?
Guy, Chris Cornell, singer at 6:00 is the same guy starting off in the beginning with a deep voice. Eddie Vedder second vocalist who maintains deep tone throughout the song. Chris Cornell starts off deep then his voice shoots up!
That part of the song where it hits you....there are TWO guys with powerful voices singing...PRICELESS
Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell ...best two rock vocalists of my youth ... That Temple of the dog album is lit !
Jason Wilkie -- I agree, but you forgot the other guy--Layne Staley! Layne Staley, Chris Cornell are my two favorites (they're tied for 1st), and Eddie Vedder is a close 2nd.
@C Portugal I LOVE Mad Season. River of Deceit, Long Gone Day, Wake Up, November Hotel. Those are all amazing songs. And UA-cam/MadSeasonVevo just released basically their entire Live at the Moore show. UA-cam used to have just a few songs from the show like Long Gone Day and Lifeless Dead, but now they have almost all of them
I loved watching you listening to Chris and Eddie's vocals and appreciating them the way we've been appreciating them for the past 30-years. Look up Pearl Jam for more Eddie, and Soundgarden for more Chris Corrnell. You made me smile for real though.
Damn this makes excited that he doesn't know who they are! So much good music that I wish I could hear for the first time again.
First time reading this comment & it made me so nostalgic.
I’d give just about anything to go back & relive hearing this & everything else from the era for the first time.
It seems like yesterday...
I'm surprised he doesn't recognize Chris's voice. He's done reactions to Audioslave already. His voice is very distinct.
Nightdominia I was very surprised, too, lol. He’s heard Chris so many times! Also, people hv requested TOTD & noted it was Eddie & Chris every single time,
The only logical thing I can think of is that he’s done SO MANY reactions that he forgets some stuff 🤷🏻♀️
When he was supposed to go to the AIC concert he did a couple of their videos with Layne & many ppl commented that it seemed like he thought Layne was *still alive.*
Later he decided not to go because he didn’t want to see them without Layne.
He’d been told or it was noted in the comments that Layne had passed in every AIC reaction... Idk 🤷🏻♀️🤯 lol
That's why Temple of the dog is the best super group of the 90's, the most iconic voices of the decade.
They weren't a supergroup at the time.... just a bunch of dudes that encouraged one anothers careers, played similar music, and roamed the planet with other similar dudes.... like Layne for example....
After you listen to Say Hello To Heaven by these guys, you should check out a band called Mad Season. They only put out one album, and it was Mike McCready from Pearl Jam, Layne Staley from AIC, Barrett Martin from Screaming Trees, and John Baker Saunders. For songs, River Of Deceit or I Don't Know Anything.
I second this motion!!!
And Mark Lanegan, don’t forget Lanegan ;) ... and Wake Up, don’t forget that one, lol.
I would try to blame my omission of Lanegan on Wikipedia, or my missing cd, but I just can't read. I like I Don't Know Anything better than Wake Up. And, honestly, I haven't listened to any of the album in years, and River, and I Don't Know were the the only ones that I could/can remember.
Downward Is Heavenward That album is a masterpiece, hands down the best side project ever made (imo). I love every single track but Wake Up is just so hauntingly beautiful.
Downward Is Heavenward THANK YOU! I had forgotten about that collaboration of 90s legends 💪🏼
His name is Chris Cornell, from Soundgarden. Listen to Outshined,
I forgot how good a lot of these older songs are, your enthusiasm and excitement is what it is all about.
This was a super group formed from Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. They got together after a mutual friend from another band passed away. The song starts with Chris Cornell , then Eddie Vedder picks it up in the middle with his deeper voice, then Cornell comes back in with his ridiculously amazing range towards the end.

Chris Cornell is the vocalist you were asking about. He formed Soundgarden and Audioslave as well. The guy with the lower voice is Eddie Vetter from Pearl Jam. Chris Cornell formed Temple of the Dog to honor his roommate and friend that died. This is the cutest, most pure reaction ever… been listening to this since the 90’s🖤
So, "Temple of the Dog" came from a lyric in a song called "Man of Golden Words" (Beautiful song btw - listen to it !!) by the band "Mother Love Bone" whose singer was Andy Wood. Among the band were Jeff Ament (bass) & Stone Gossard (guitar). After Andy Wood died (just before Mother Love Bone released their debut album).
Chris Cornell (Soundgarden) got together with Ament & Gossard to create the band Temple of the Dog - the name of the band being an homage to Wood. From what I gather, Eddie Vedder was hanging around at the time and Chris Cornell asked him to join in on this song - he did such a good job, that Ament, Gossard & Vedder started their own band along with Mike McCready, called Pearl Jam.
Chris Cornell was the best rock singer ever. I don't give a shit what anyone says. Outshined from his band Soundgarden is a display in vocal badassery. R I P
