Heroin Diaries Soundtrack saved my fn life from addction when was alone and deep in the shit. Bought the cd when it first came out and still pound it to this day. Watched this tonight in its entirety in September of 2023 and man I wish these guys would get back together and tour again…I’ve been to a couple hundred concerts in my life and these guys put on a phenomenal show
+Fik Fikmonskov That makes sense, but even from a recording perspective, if I read 12 reviews on any Sixx Am album, 8 of them are trashing James Michael. "The singer sucks", "Great Band except for the vocals", "The singer is garbage" etc... I just don't get it. Plus there are hundreds of vocalists who occasionally sound like shit live. (Lizzy Hale, Michael Barnes, Shaun Morgan, Maria Brink, Pete Lofeller, Aaron Gilespe, Jesse Hasek) I've even seen a few Coheed and Cambria shows where Claudio sounded less than stellar. Point is I think it's kinda stupid to judge a vocalist by their live performances. James Michael is a super talented vocalist with a great sound and I will never understand why people shit on him the way they do.
Came across S.A.M. by accident and I am hooked. Great metal sound. The vocals and guitar riffs are awesome. May just see them in late October in Phoenix.
Sixx A. M. Kicks Motleys ass hands down. This lead singer is multi talented with an amazing voice and great stage presence. He is fricken cool as hell. The lead guitarist makes you wish you were his guitar strings he makes it look so effortl ess. Under rated. We want more from these guys.

I dug Ashba's playing in GN'R..(I'm not a musician so prob using incorrect terminology)..but if one REALLY listens to his solo's and unique "chord arrangements" (?) he added into some of the old stuff (Estranged for example) it gave the tunes a slight new spin and hence new life. Think Zakk playin Sabbath songs w/Ozzy. Not better than Iomi but just 'nuff to give new spin. However...something was amiss. Maybe it was DJ's use of a "hat and cigarette" on stage w/GN'R...I dunno. Personally I felt when Robin Finck left it wasnt the same. 2006 GN'R was a BEAST!! I saw them 4x that year and hands down the BEST incarnation of the group...ever. But I digress.. this is a Sixx:am video lol. My only wish for this trio is that they s.l.o.w d.o.w.n on releasing material to concentrate on the song writing. Opinions are like.."" and they all.."" i know but IMHO the material from these 3 UBER talented men has been..."just ok" when it should be Draw Droppin Awesome! I heard an interview with Nikki recently and he said during the songwriting everyone says "yes" to eachothers ideas thus allowing allot of material through the initial gate to be POSSIBLY worked into a full track; immediately when i heard that i thought "No". It's not only good but necessary to STOP mediocre ideas at the gate. If not...one is left with an abundance of material with perhaps 3 or 4 gems per. Again IMHO they haven't written anythin on par with "Courtesy Call" from first album. I actually enjoyed Nikki's songwriting on Brides of Destruction a tad better..maybe cuz it was darker stuff. I dunno...a friend of mine heard Sixx:AM without knowing who they were and literally asked me: "How long have i been listening to Christian Rock?" ...pretty much sums it up. This may sound completely counterintuitive but Sixx:AM is too "Positive". Isn't Rock N' Roll supposed to be nasty and mean? ..unless your aim is to be Fleetwood Mac :/ All in all I'm a fan and am hopeful for the new material.

Besides the great composers of europe 1100ad- 1700ad the music produced in the world of rock 1965- 1995 was the greatest the world has ever seen and heard. The movie woodstock showed something revealing you don't need drugs to find God or to compose great rock music. The band stryper were a big influence on Nick sixx when he was with crue. Crue backed up stryper in the early days of enigma records. Six was lost in those days. The influence stayed with him to be "a better man. Stryper hates being called a christian band. They consider themselves rock musicians who happen to be christians. I love Six-am.from dygertron the dream of the christmas guitar u-tube psalm 33:3 sing unto him a new song and play skilfully with a loud noise! (kjv) And finally "this is gonna hurt" is one of best rock albums of all time, heroin diaries had some of the greatest songs in the history of music. Both are masterpieces.

Teeny boppers all tune in to shows like "The Voice" and miss out on the talent of bands that don't make a career out of singing someone else' music to gain attention. Sixx A.M. are phenomenal and I could care less if they're not the flavor of the month. They rock and they do it well.
