"Oh wow! Live concerts! Remember those? Nah, me neither. Anyway, a couple of years ago we played a giant show at the 013 in Tilburg, Netherlands. It was a whole lot of fun. We even filmed the whole thing. And when we released the recording for free on UA-cam last year, a whole bunch of you said you really liked it. And being the treasure-hungry sellout pirates that we are, it made us realize we could probably convince a bunch of you to buy it if we wrapped it in plastic and stuck it in a big wooden box. We even added some low-effort bonus features. Enjoy!"

The train ride back is still one of the most fun memories of my life. Singing fucked with an ancher the whole trip trough, rowing in a long line when te train stood still too long. even train-security joined the party.

i've seen alot of live shows, and movies of live shows, and i agree, this has to be one of the best audio mixes i've ever heard, mountains of bass, but it's not destroying my PA speakers ,none of that horrible compressed, high mid crap sound, and everything else clearly heard also, that's the thing i hate about live recordings, this one killed all that negative, i can't comment on the video so much as i'm watching through a 15 year old 40" flat screen tv, so everything looks like shite

Alestorm is the most genius band in this modern era of music. They don't take anything seriously, at all. They just fuck around and do their thing, and still manage to make extremely good songs while doing it. Music doesn't have to be serious with flexy lyrics and brutal vocals. Just bullshitting around in a studio can make some of the most beautiful songs known to mankind.

The subtle changes Peter Alcorn has implemented on the drums is freaking gold.
This band saved my life, not proud of it but was seriously thinking about checking out. This band as well as my family and 4 cats kept me here. Alestorm really are a breath of fresh air. Music is awesome.

It really wasn't obvious in 2007 that a 'True Scottish Pirate Metal' band would work at all, never mind become a huge success. So congrats to Mr Bowes for the idea, perfectly judged lack of seriousness, sweariness, and for some top quality songwriting, and to the whole band for very tight execution. This concert is sublime. I'm a bit old (and short!) for going to gigs, but Alestorm really do make you want to be there for the party.

Alestorm is one of my daughters favorites so we took her during the school week to see them play a tiny bar in seattle. Security let her sit on theside stage by a moniter and she ended up falling asleep on stage. I think she was 7 back then haha. Keep being an awesome parent and taking your kid to shows!

This was a blast to watch. I'm so disappointed that Download has had to be cancelled this year. I'm seeing this lot ASAP in the UK. A true party quest.
I'm hoping that they schedule a UK gig later in the year to make up for it. I was about to buy a ticket for Download, with Alestorm being 1 of the 2 or 3 bands that I was interested in seeing. I still havent seen them live yet - this is a little bit of a taste but not enough.
