Every major city in China has its own city bank, from first tier down to third tier cities that roughly about 100 or something. and lots of private banks across the country. Those four happen to make the list. there are 3 more state owned banks with smaller assets.
Based on S&P Global Market Intelligence Report 2017, the top 5 largest banks are: 1. ICBC $3.89 trillion, 2. CCBC $3.31 T, 3. ACB $3.14 T, 4. Bank of China $2.96 T, 5. Mitsubishi Financial Group $2.75 trillion. The 6th to 10th positions are held by JP Morgan, HSBC, BNP Paribas, Bank of America and Wells Fargo.
The top 4 positions are all Chinese banks.
In Forbes list of largest companies in the world, it listed the 4 Chinese banks as the top 4 companies in the world.

HSBC technically is a Chinese Bank, if you consider Hong Kong as Chinese. Yes Headquarter is in London but that doesn't mean it's not a Chinese Bank... In total, it's 5 out of 10 banks are Chinese. Not 4...
Looks like HSBC history started with a opium dealing guy from Scotland in the 1860s Hong Kong and later Shanghai. Then some wheeling and dealing happened just before the transfer of sovereignty back to China to keep HSBC's holdings out of that mess. So it's really not clear if HSBC is Chinese or British, more likely a hybrid of both along the way.
Well it was set up in British controlled Hong Kong by Brits, has its headquaters in London and it's biggest share holders are US companies, so i would certianly say it's not Chinese. It's officially classed as a British bank.
Pluss many people don't class Hong Kong as Chinese.

It’s new to me that 4 out of 10 biggest banks in the world are Chinese. This might indicate that the most banking activity is in China. Please note also that one British bank is a merger of banks from Changhai and Hong Kong, meaning 5 out of 10 banks are China related!
All i know is the most wealthy of all amongst the total industrial sectors found in all economy. It's not oil, it's not natural resources. it's not pharmaceutical, it's not cigarette companies. Those are tangible and are on pay as you go. The wealthiest of all is the Banking industries, the one with the biggest wallet full with accessible cash, investment and assets nationally and on a world wide scale. Of course wealth is largely associated with power "output", whereas money is "input"
All their assets are highly inflated due to the central bank printing trillions and handing out to these bank for little to no interest.if their assets were based on the real economy it would be worth 10- 20 percent of the listed assets for these banks
Back in China we have a joke about ICBC,because of some funny pronunciation and special meaning of these four letters in Chinese,when you combine them together will lead to a nick name of the bank:"Deposit or not,we don't give a fuck".

The Chinese have started to buy a large number of assets outside their country. They have majority stakes in a large number of Indian companies. They have bought whole buildings and organizations in Australia and have an eye on Africa.
The growth in their millionaire and billionaire category of population is the reason that excess funds need to be parked outside. Really scared of the outcomes in Asia 10 years from now if others don't take actions to protect themselves.
Although, militarily there will be a nuclear embargo by default due to anti-nuclear missiles. However, construction of artificial islands, land grabbing, OBOR and their partnership with Russia can go a long way into threatening the rest. Too much concentration of power.

China has the top 4 banks in the world, 18 out of 100 biggest banks in the world are now Chinese. One bank is more than the GDP of India, 2 of them is the GDP of Japan and some more.

Well banks in Switzerland needs a huge amount for opening a bank like in 6 figures as I have heard, as per almost all the top banks here 1 need to have 6 figures for even opening an account and 4 digits for jut to maintain the account. How about middle income citizens in Switzerland then?

I would change the "Made In China" printed on all it's products to something that could better portray its new globalisation image as the Yellow Dragons of the Far East are gradually returning to being the world leader status in nearly every aspect for as long as history has been recorded. It's not something new or something China ain't use to. Chinese are flying abroad all over the world whilst China is bringing up the value chain. Most importantly eliminating people's "consumer" perception and stigma they hold that pictured China as poor and backward. People are used to seeing cheap and poor quality "Made in China" brand. Chinese lack branding and marketing capabilities! They really do!

Rotschild is not one man but their wealth spread among hundreds of family members, some of them enter Forbes billionaire list but in the low billions of dollars (below $5 billion), mostly are below $1 billion.
