Joey: "A lot has happened since then"
Me: **Looks at Joey's hair**, "yep"
Its Joey's winter coat🐩
I just uploaded an aquarium video if you’d like to watch
@@thatguyalan5370 stop spamming your channel.
Eel Sigh I why?
That guy Alan because it’s annoying
and doesn’t get you subs
Joey: "Real sharks not fresh water sharks."
Fresh water sharks: "Oh 😔"
Haaa lol
🤣🤣🤣
Some sharks can live their lives in fresh/brackish water environments as juveniles. Though, I am sure he was referring to what people call freshwater sharks.
Bull shark can live in two type of water
He should do those in the 40s
As soon as u said u kept them for 10yrs plus i was saying rays and this whole remodel of the gallery is starting to make sense with the need of another massive tank
I agree . I think he is going to go for a big salt water tank with the Ray's that be amazing to see s big salt water tank . Think about the set ups he can do and the amount of big fish he could keep inna big tank like his fresh water one
@@JPsPetNation he talked about it and now with the rays it makes sense to go in that direction
PART 2 : ua-cam.com/video/Fcy53aSxskY/v-deo.html
PS: I revealed these on instagram 20 days ago... follow me @uarujoey
I need to find a man who talks to me the way Joey talks to his stingrays.
Unless you're a stingray you're probably hosed. 😂
Hey I just uploaded an aquarium video if you’d like to watch
Oh sarah, same.
"Plop and drop"😜 tho haha
Same tho
The timelines are crazy lately. Feels like I'm watching Pulp Fiction 😎
I thought 12 monkeys.
i like having the unboxing and fish added to the aquarium in the same video, and prefer it. feels more like a complete video and not dragged on into two videos
Joey, while its not a requirement, having a small grain sand for the bottom of a saltwater ray tank is a good idea. They like to bury in the sand. It can't be too coarse or they will scratch their bellies.
Not sure on what they say about freshwater ones. I have no experience with freshwater rays.
people suggest fine grain sand for rays and sharks because it is less likely to scratch their sensitive bellies.
It also looks so much better. I also wished there was some invertebrates, it feels so empty without a actual reef community
too bad that can't happen with the stingrays
Just throw in a bunch of school fish and it'll look more alive. Anthias looks great
yes and sandperches
This is one of my favourite videos in a long time. The stingrays are absolutely gorgeous.... side note: watching joeys hair change and evolve is just about as interesting as seeing the gallery change and evolve lol
Seeing Joey almost cry upon seeing the rays almost made me cry out of joy too. 😭
I really enjoyed the detailed education! I know about the freshwater rays from what you have posted but I’m sure I’ve missed some. But I would absolutely love ❤️ if you could maybe start a series? Like a species spotlight? Especially with the new saltwater rays! They are just spectacular ✨🎉🥳❤️ I’m so happy you’re finally doing the gallery the way you always wanted! I can see how much happier you are and that’s awesome 😎
I really don’t rate the saltwater tank without substrate. The species you have would really benefit from it too buddy, loving the big refurb of the gallery though
You should put sand in the aquarium for the rays to dig in
Good idea :D
Happyman 1 I bet the poor bastards were just to happy to get out of the plastic bags
might be easier for quarantine to not have sand, i'm sure eventually they'll have some
You need to get some fine sand in that tank for the rays. Rays like to sift through it and look for food. Very fine oolitic sand.
Oh thank you mdiesel, he just said he had 10 years experience I think he know what yes doing
MDiesel also... his big tank did have sand all over but the larger stingrays moved the sand and exposed the bottom
Robert Bocklage I love the backseat aquarist 😂
When you almost cried, I almost cried. No one cries alone when I'm around. 😂 I love your passion, and the salt water rays are gorgeous.
Not every fish keeping UA-camr can top that, having fresh and salt water stingrays in your collection. Keep it up joey
SHOUTOUT PHILIPPINES! ❤❤❤🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

Am I the only one who Loves watching Joey Unboxing fishes, not because it is very Entertaining, but it is also Educational. A lot of Trivia and Facts, and I love it. Another Video worth watching!
Only a surprise if you don’t follow Joey on IG. I’ve been impatiently waiting for this video.
Man they look so beautiful. Do you think you could do a 15 minute silent video showcasing these guys?
Omg I fell in love with these on my scuba diving adventures in the Red Sea. So majestic.
Can't quite picture them in an aquarium setting but I'm sure Joey will treat them as well as is possible.
To help explain what Joey is talking about with the physiology of the stingrays. Basically, it is because of osmosis. In a saltwater environment, fish species (teleosts, which includes elasmobranchs) can passively transport salts built up in the body using the osmotic gradient created by the salt water, meaning they don't have to pee or poop it out, it just passes through areas on their bodies and works with the water parameters. In freshwater, the osmotic gradient forces fish to use active transport, so they have to convert all the salts to waste like ammonia and poop and pee it out. Therefore, freshwater fish create more solid waste than saltwater, making tank maintenance a little easier in a saltwater system.
Can always tell when Joey is super excited he can’t sit still. Props to ya bud. Keep enjoying our hobby.
Yes Joey,
The Rays look Gorgeous bro!! The whole gallery evolution has me even more hooked than before. Looks awesome already. 20 plus minute videos are a winner! Edit, Edit, Edit.....daily vids, I’m ready for a King of DIY binge .
Best wishes from the UK
Cheers
I agree itnisnstsrting to look so good now like it was meant to look like at the start he is going back to the things he enjoys doing and the Ray's are amazing they really are breath taking and salt water ones are just so cool. I never see them on UA-cam before what is so good to see him having them
Thanks For the Reply JP. I’ve been loving this channel since I first starting using You tube and to see the transformation of the gallery over that time has been a pleasure. It give regular one tank guys like me the chance to almost live the experience with him. It’s the honesty I love the most !
@@truegooner3523 I agree with that and all the things he do he will show us and he will want us to grow with him what is amazing
Exactli what I think!
I love how you ruined the whole video
dude rays with eachother are freaking hilarious, mans just swims right ontop of the other lmao
It's so nice to see a video that is not someone pretending to be hyped about something... He is genuinely giddy with joy and I love it!
Panther grouper would look great with the rays ;)
Ok I have to ask for a stingray care video. I'd love to see your process of caring for these beauties. From your tank design to water parameters to food choices. I love these rays so don't leave me hanging!
Joey should do a Caridina Shrimp tank and start a colony
Shmokey or do that in the carpeted tank
@@squidarcherb9707 for sure would look great with DSM
Joey: “it’s going to be *shocking* what’s in here!”
Us: “Bruh we’ve seen the thumbnail”
bruh he said he was shock did he said all of you will be shock thats why he put it in the thumbmail
@@nikkoocde1629 it's a joke, calm down. Dont be so sensitive
I just got a flowerhorn and I'm super happy
not having substrate for those stingrays makes my skin crawl...they don't look comfortable at all
7:15 Stingray covers another 7:28 Pleco swims over to save the covered one but gets scared and swims away again (Or maybe he thought they were all piling up for food, who knows, but it was still cute in my head lol) Cute little pleco voice.... "Hey, get off of her, you big bully!"
Fish keeping 101
"here look at this fish"
*other fish comes over and sits on top of him so you can't see him"
😂😂
Excellent simple explanation. You've sparked my interest in this species. Good Video!!
Arguably some of the most beautiful rays in the hobby. What’s next?! 🔥
That was cool to see the Pleco out and about comfy with the Rays
@@ottomattix86 only if they are very hungry
You should get saltwater predatory fish like groupers and puffers
Edit get a emperor snapper those are awesome
Man pls do a video about the evolution of aquarium fish 🐠
You should rotate the 375 so the overflow is facing the wall by the fan. It would allow more viewing angles. Just a thought.
They're so gorgeous. I love the little blue spots. Super excited to see the new aquarium room x
I love fish but Joey REALLY LOVES FISH. Don't ever change!
A few months ago I saw a blue spotted stingray in the sea in Egypt when I was on holiday there. They are gorgeous fish and it was very cool to see something that special in the wild. It was a big one too.
Epic joyous reaction! We all become kids in this kind of moment. I love it! Come visit the Philippines so you can swim where they came from.
This guy sounded like Brian Barczyk for few seconds at the beginning of the video:))
Would love to see a video on how to properly Test your salt water! Just setting up a marine and would love to know before making any commitment with fish and corals!!
I haven't seen any fishkeeping channels that keep blue-spotted stingrays. Thank you for showing us such wonderful fish Joey!
Joey : says he’s the first one to breed the botsmanni stingray in captivity like it’s no big deal
Me : In shock “ I can’t even keep a fish”
Im happy us Filipinos could bring joy to you my friend!
Did the Rays are catched directly from the ocean or got it from a breeders?
The rays look gorgeous and thanks for the extra info on their care :) one thing I’m confused about is why have the weir / overflow facing outwards instead of on the wall side?
Awesome fish, but I think sand is a requirement for those rays to provide to best care and comfort!
I hope to see some sand soon ;)
Unfortunately, it’s people with zero experience with rays that say this. Sorry.
@@thekingofdiy I thought it was a thing with the blue spotted, because they like to burry them self in the sand and therefore less stress and more natural behavior 😉
They look gorgeous man! And good to know that you found a responsible supplier. I'm from the Philippines and although I know that there's a lot of beautiful fishes here, I've never seen this type of ray in person... I've yet to get in to the saltwater aquarium but been in the aquascaping hobby for 2 years now. More power to you!
Question: what was the bigger ray doing to the smaller ray ? When covering the other
Joey, when you do an in depth stingray comparison video, you should get the barbs under the microscope so we can see how similar or different they are. I think it'd be really cool to have more videos using the microscopes
I just got my first 10 gallon fresh water tank and I’ve been binge watching you and CoralFish12g and it’s so cool learning more about the hobby and different kinds of fish and how tank conditions really affect their well being. I hope that when I become more experienced I can get a salt water tank
Wow. Those blue spotted Rays are beautiful. Cannot wait to see what the tank looks like with rocks in
Thank you for choosing my counter for buying aquarium fish spread love and peace
Fish unboxing videos are the best!
Wow! Good thing the rays survived the travel from the PH.
Haven't even watched the video yet but we love you Joey!! 😂😂😂
It well worth watching . I not spoiler it for you but my god they are amazing and look so different to his other ones he keeps.
If you do daily videos and talk really really fast, we’ll catch up in no time 😄 it’s looking awesomely exciting!
I love seeing saltwater Rays when I go snorkelling, they are cute lil sea pups
And manatees are sea pugs
Really curious about what the "hip bones" are in a creature that doesn't have bones?
I was smiling the whole time watching this... His excitement got me excited
The Rays look amazing, You are very lucky to be able to get the fish on your bucket list, every fish keeper has dream about keeping something special 🐡🐟🐠🦐.
Me: I don’t really like stingrays.
Blue-spotted rays: :3
Me: I’ll take your entire stock

Hey Joey I'm a Fan From Philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭 been watching you for so Long 💕
Their are beautiful. I love rays, sharks, whales basically anything that can swim. Keep up the good work Joey.
Exciting stuff, Joey! Love the look of those rays, they are indeed beautiful, in colouration, patterning, and those long tails. Thanks for the info on freshwater ray evolution, that's really fascinating! I'd only run across a story or two about freshwater evolving from saltwater, and another couple going the other way... You are really going flat out with the renovation, look forward to further developments!
Joey please turn the saltwater tank so that the overflow is against the wall instead, that would make it look more open
I'm not sure how long this channel has actually been around but I swear over a decade ago you showed me how to make my first sponge filter. Awesome to see this channel grow and continue over the years.
Taeniura lymma, Bluespotted Ribbontail Ray, one of my favorite stingrays. I've seen many of them during my dives here in Malaysia, especially during night dives. I've even seen one with 3 barbs, that was a big female! Beautiful fish!
They are so beautiful! Did you name them yet?
Awesome finally seing this, knowing the tank is not even there anymore XD.
Nor the walls
Tbat is crazy init how he changing things up in real time and we are seeing this video and the others. It is crazy to see how things are going to change and see how much he has done to that palce. It is crazy
Cool! now you have freshwater stingray and saltwater stingray very nice 👍👍
I completely understand your love for them. I’m in college studying Marine Biology. It’s a passion. ❤️
I really like how the Gallery is always changing and evolving. Great video as always.
Should make a big single overhang bro starting from the top just below weir arching down to just one or to footings being placed about just around halfway of The span of the tank, you'll be able to restock those colourful fish back in whilst providing the ample swimming room the rays need
Having rays, whether salt or freshwater, is my dream! currently the best i can do is having some hillstream loaches hahaha
Why do they squidge on top of eachother all the time? I no nothing about sea life I just enjoy watching how passionate you are!
The new additions to your fish family are gorgeous. Love your enthusiasm, it's contagious.
Love the history lesson. I find that really interesting. Love your passion. Makes u a great speaker
glad you got a fish from the Philippines! - i’m from the Philippines by the way.
Would love an update on these guys!
I love blue-spotted stingrays! Probably my favorite saltwater stingray. SO BEAUTIFUL! 👍🏼
exactly the inspiration I needed for freshwater stingrays, best fish in the hobby so far!
I have always loved when you get new fish..your excitement is priceless ♥️♥️♥️
Always interesting watching someone that doesn't live in the tropics getting excited about rays we can catch by the hundreds. lol
Clasper burritos..... so much to learn. SO MUCH TO LEARN here on Joey's channel......
I prefer this channel over any content on tv available. I have to start donating $$$$$ to help keep this channel going. Just ordered my first diy T-shirt
Your excitement is palpable.
Blue spotted stingrays 😍😍 They’re beautiful
OMG Joey those salt water sting rays (blue spotted) are absolutely BEAUTIFUL :D
