Wow! I can't believe TSA made you do that, glad the shrimps made it back to your place safely in 100mls of water lol
Our family was glad to meet you in person Joey, stop by anytime you're around the area!
Maybe we can host an event next time!
Sweet video! Planted Aquaria owners are some of the nicest people in the hobby!
That shop is beautiful.
Did anyone else think I have nener been to a fish store playing artic monkeys .😂
Dang, those tanks have great water quality! Super clean shop!
I wish we had a shop like that in my area. Glad all your shrimp made it, that's crazy what TSA put you through.
I haven't been to Oakville in a while but I must go and visit this store and see all the fish. Did you have the chance to visit any Big Als fish stores?
Wait until you have a very healthy colony of multiple age groups then I would suggest 1 male guppy/endler. If you have a thriving colony 100+ the a betta or a scarlet baddis but you really have to have a very thriving colony for those. You could also add pygmy corries khuli loaches sometimes like to crawl around bonsai trees
This is an awesome store, I got to go back there again.
My favorite shop in the GTA. Thank you for sharing and giving Tom and his family the love. ❤
Nano tanks are my favorite. That cherry shrimp tank is going to be gorgeous over time. Jus wait till the shrimp start going to the top of the moss hanging out at the water line, it's crazy.
For a moment, you scarried me. I though you were gonna put them with the bettas! They would love the meal. 😂
Oh no you gotta drip acclimatize the shrimp for hopes of all to survive
very beautiful tank cool shrimp tank
Don't add a Betta as they are predatory and will eat all the shrimp. The problem with endlers, they'll multiply like rabbits. Which could be a good live food for the rest of your fish but still...
You should add in a couple White cloud minnows also called a mountain minnow or even the Red mountain minnow and they will not eat your shrimp at all
that was awesome!! Thanks!! I love shrimp
Loved seeing you at the expo! Best live scape off 😂
I see Tom and Miles I hit the like
Like others have said adding fish risks them eating the babies and stalling your colonys growth. However I would suggest if you did add fish to the nano tank maby a pair of sparkling gouramis. They are tiny and you should have enough hidding space for baby shrimp with all the moss. And might even get the pair to breed.
You can definitely take fish/shrimp on planes. You should have asked for a supervisor.
Endlers are awesome
I'd add a few neons. I dont know if they're shrimp safe, but the blue would pop so well among the plants in that tiny tank.
If you're getting some nano fish, what about getting some Killifish eggs off ebay to hatch.
I think cherry shrimps are only able to become berried after shedding.
Once they become too big, they don’t shed anymore and they won’t become berried. The fire reds you have are already at a decent size, so hopefully they will still shed.
Ahh yes! I remember that plant tank set up from another video! I LOVE that idea; very cool!
Maybe take the snow-balls out if they breed with the fire-reds they likely result in diluted offspring, maybe even revert to basic mucky green-brown wild type.
Boraras go very well with shrimp.
This is one of my local shops. I have been there so many times and actually brought in my personally bred rams and apistos to the store.
I just started the video. You better be buying ottos for your 16 foot tank!!!
I think those "snow balls" you pulled out were just really stressed male red neos.
Nano TANKS!!!!!!!!
Man I wish there was a store like this near me
Like others have said, if you want a big shrimp colony, I wouldn't add fish. I tried endlers, and it did work long-term, but the shrimp population never really grew very well.
I know this place! I put aqua Malik on this place! I met you at the expo,day1 at a booth. This is a top notch store!
I've never waited for your video before? Is this new in UA-cam land 👀
Nope, its a premier. i do them all the time for longer videos so we can watch them together. Afterwards, uploaded as normal. I like to also participate in the live cha. its a lot of fun!
Are you still breeding your rays
Been waiting for this ,local to Toronto and can’t wait to see where someone not from here would look and go for shrimp and what their input is even more exciting it’s joeys opinion :p
I think you should have drip acclimated those shrimp, I hope they survive 🤞
Pit a pair of cpd’s or galaxy rasboras in it the shrimp tank
Great video! Do you ever wear the Enchroma glasses you have to see what your aquariums actually look like to everyone else? Or to find red shrimp in green plants....
Only shrimp safe fish is otos I believe, my brother has cories and chili rasbora that snack on shrimp. Once they get the taste of a juvenile it's over for the rest haha. Also I'm not sure what you feed, but stay away from hikari sinking wafers. Had massive issues recently with hydra that comes from it, talked to other aquarists that also had same problem. Fine with tanks that have fish that'll eat it, but shrimp won't touch them.
Nice 💪
You got those pumpkins at the expo didn't you I was eyeing them up but when I went back they were gone 😂
Some celestial pearl danio's would be fire in that tank.
I have em in my fluval edge planted tank. I love those little dudes. Awesome fish
This Is just my suggestion but 4 male blue mosaic guppies would a really nice addition
Only shrimps, not of fear of them being eaten, but shrimps need clean water to populate. Fish waste is then not to beneficial.
I've had Neocaradinas Bloody Mary with Guppies and Coridoras for years but the shrimp colony doesn't grow. I don't think the fishes eating is the problem.
A Betta is a 50/50 chance also, might work or a slaughter.
Something was up with the officials from the airline that day. The security let me on to the plane with a bag of 4 fish when I left there the following day. But they were contradicting what head office informed people earlier
Add 2 Medaka rice fish "Myuki Blue's"
15 to 20 shrimp , 12 to 15 are a high number for shrimp start. Truly it only takes 6 shrimp in less than 20 gallons.
I mean yeah but how long I always suggest 1 per gallon because they get stressed if there isnt enough of them to feel safe
Take documentation with you from the TSA website proving you can travel with fish etc.
Dang I missed the premier
Do not add any fish if you're planning on growing your colony. Even tiny nano fish will eat baby shrimp. You should also know better to add a small sponge filter to play it safe and keep water parameters stable. You'll certainly grow more shrimp with filtered water.
Otos should be fine
@@therealbigfloppa5512 Perhaps. But probably unnecessary, if the shrimp population grows they should keep algae in check.
Unless you are breeding for profit it's fine, the shrimp will still thrive and reproduce with some fish that will eat the babies.
@@curgunner That's very dependent on how many shrimp you want, and how many of what kind of fish you add. In general, adding fish will reduce the amount of babies that survive significantly. My taste for a shrimp tank, is one with a big colony. And for that, I'd add a filter and no fish.
@@matthewferguson8423 If you have a decent amount of cover you can get 150+ shrimp in a 20hal with some tetras
Hmmmm dwarf pea puffer fish incoming.
Surprisingly I have a shrimp colony with a pea puffer in a 10 gallon, he leaves the adults alone lol. Would not recommend though as the shrimp would be a bit more out if he wasn't there.
Why don't you buy all those chili rasbora? You can put 6 in your shrimp tank and the rest in the piranha tank😅
Should have packed them in your checked luggage. I once brought a bunch of plakat betta from Bangkok, into Hong Kong and then crossed to maintain China, all in my checked luggage. No questions asked.
Did I see a corgi??
505 by arctic monkeys blaring love to see it
I think the limit for fluid when flying is 100mls.
What would be the smallest aquarium for male betta?
If you add fish to the shrimp tank your colony wont grow as they will eat the shrimplets
Subtitles are unable
I wanna bag with a gift card!
Geez this has to be the most adds you have ever had on a video. That's crazy
dont add fish until they really start breeding. The 2 you thought were snowballs were not snowballs
Schmeler Spurs
you really should try to do it yourself
Don’t give it away
Brother make a video about most ignored but beautiful nano fish “Medaka”
4:07 i have a similar substrate in my guppy tanks and the plants just GROW you dont see all the poo like with sand and it looks so nice
