@@joeyjoe8769 it's about the right timing mate, using sacred sheath is a 2 point blade, either it's going to advantages you or the enemy, that's why the timing needs to be done correctly. Imagine if you're rushing to use sacred sheath while fighting Tigrex, what do you think will happen ?
@@joeyjoe8769 I see, well I agree tho. SSC do fit perfectly for chill hunting. But for speedrunning most still prefer ISS and HB, since the flow is more fluid and deal continous damage instead of SSC. SSC is more like a great blow if there's a chance

For multi player I think the other playstyle is more ideal since you're not always the target, so ISS is not that efficient. You're better off using the new wirebug skill to gain spirit levels, doing a lot of HB on quick openings and SSC on the big damage windows on multiplayer.
Whenever i feel like i don't know how to properly use longsword, i boot up a Master Peppo video just to learn how to play better and enjoy the INSANE runs he does, amazing as always man, impressive.

It was me who scripted that TDS video btw. From a speedrunning scenario, Harvest Moon is optimal, but from a casual hunting scenario, not at all. As soon as you get hit once you need to sheathe your weapon and heal, and the circle disappears. Not to mention it is so bad for multiplayer... There are many downsides I can list, so that's why I don't really recommend using this if you are not speedrunning.
@@TheBuffon074 Definitely. Sacred Sheathe is kind if pointless unless you get off the full thing but unless the monster is downed or distracted that's hard to do. On top of that getting back to the red gauge without Iai is a hassle and time consuming.
@@bluhmer1990 I think it's just no one master it yet. Sheath counter perform like Forsight slash down to the timing. Successful counter let you do spirit round slash to get gauge and it can chain back to back. Charge slash has hyper armor with reduce damage you take around 70% I think. Never actualy do the math. So just trade with monsters for sure hit. It won't move away when attacking. I just want to see someone master Sacred sheath and speed run with it. I mean in World before slinger combo exist. Tcs need full combo to use but speed runner still manage to tcs monsters head without missing. Just want to see another style.

@@PeppoLS So pretty much only solo where you can better control monster aggro on yourself? Because I imagine that in most multiplayer scenarios unless coordinated you’re kind of just burning through wire bugs and just useless when it targets someone else out of the circle.
@@nastycrimeboy9138 Not even is solo, that's the sad part. I don't recommend using harvest moon unless you are speedrunning. It's really suboptimal for casual/farming hunts, I never used it during my MR progression tbh.

I literally has an almost exact replica I got in Rise thats a Quick Sheathe Lv2, Wirebug Whisperer Lv2 3 slot 2 slot I'm just confused as to how they managed to get the full skills with an additional one slot
dont know if this is a joke, but speedrunners use a mod to set up and edit their charms for their builds. so they usually make themselves whatever god-charm they need for a monster they're trying a time for
@@Deid considering I'm not a content creator, I have a similar talisman to TDS. I don't know if it's possible to get the full skills with the additional 1-slot but I know it's possible to get close to it
The real reason why music started at the very beginning is that the “final boss” of this fight was Peppo, and not Malzeno. The moment Peppo entered the map, the combat music started.

Hey Peppo, so I haven't been using LS for the story but I plan to pick up again and I had 2 questions. How meta is the new special sheathe switch skill and is it ever worth it over helmbreaker? Also why is elemental LS so good now?
It only does good damage if you use Harvest moon other than that on average it is still extremely annoying to deal with. I just stick with Sacred sheathe now I don't really see special Iai worth it unless you are using it with harvest moon. But overall I don't see it as useful.
Yes, sadly this playstyle is optimal just with harvest moon, which means you will never use in a casual hunt scenario or in multiplayer. I hope Capcom will tweak that silkbind move in the future cuz as it is now it's pretty bad for average LS users.
@@PeppoLS Have you played a lot with Sturdy Spirit Slash + Sacred Sheathe? I figured that would have been the more optimal play style figuring SS does a truck ton of damage on the last hit.
