I can’t wait to see the S10 make some test passes. It’s so cool to see the relationships you’ve built with great vendors who care about their customers.
Billy, you and Big Rob have definitely outdone yourselves with this one! Jus knowing and seeing what the truck use to be and to now get to see it with it's brand new upgraded transformation. If people thought the little old truck was a problem before, can't wait to see and hear what their gonna be saying once they see that monster hit the streets and the track. I wish I had friends close by who could help me build my stuff. You are fortunate to have Rob, your dad and Justin available. Justin would be really cool to have on my speed dial, since I have a 505ci version of his engine in an iron block. If he had some extra parts laying around from the previous iterations it would make it easier to get turbos on mine. Currently putting a roots blower on it when the snow finally melts. I can get in touch with Butler easy enough, and most of the Pontiac community knows me too, but Justin is doing things only a handful of racers are doing with these engines.

I'm so impressed how you've taught yourself these different softwares. I had my Super charged 06 GTO and CTS-V tuned with HP tuners but I only made minor changes and left the important stuff up to the professionals but now I'm planning on building a old car and doing an LS turbo with the Holly setup and I'm looking forward to being able to tune it myself and not have to rely on someone else. I'll probably start with a junkyard 5.3 just in case! LOL

Cause mine come with the little barb on it and people tap it to put the 1/8 push lock line. And they said not to tap too far.

Awesome job. I always related to the truck because it was my style being a carb setup. I always looked at it as simple but when you look at all the boxes you needed to run the truck fast it was quite complicated. I think you will really enjoy the efi on it. I just hate how efi cars seem to milk the oil so much faster.

The fitting in the regulator was screwed too far in and bottomed out on the stem of the relief valve. Had it happen before

I have holley Efi, and it's so much easier for me to use VE instead of the speed density. But I guess it's all on what ur used to. The truck sounds good. Keep grinding, and it will be kicking ass soon.
Agreed ran my car in speed density for a year and had little issues i couldnt iron out , switched to VE and now its easier to adjust and runs better
Is the Holley VE table air mass numbers? For calculating fuel injector firing? HPTUNERS ve table is air mass grams/cylinder.

@@chrisbryant1657 holley VE is still speed density but the ecu makes its calculations different , holley VE is what other ecus call “speed density” its very confusing

So the little truck has technology now. Its actually going to have data. The competition had a hard time dealing with that truck as it was. Its gonna be an exciting race season this year! Likely to have a few all Hoskinson finals.

If the vacuum / boost reference fitting is screwed into the regulator too far it will hit the spring not allowing it to move up to release the pressure. You could grind a 1/8th" off the threads and put it back in and the problem will be eliminated

Some of the most stressful things about drag racing is building a new setup and getting it started but good to the truck is running again and it sounds like a heavy hitter..Spring is coming and let the good times roll.

The regulator was air locked, you have to bleed it.
The system will show 90psi but no liquid is pushing against the diaphragm. The air was acting as a cushion and wouldn't open the return.

I did the same thang with my fpr I run the vacuum fitting in to deep and it Locked up the spring inside the fpr and built a bunch of fuel pressure soon as I back out the fitting a few turn work fine so what I did was just took a 1/16 off the threads of the fitting problem fixed good luck guys and keep up the awesome work!

I hope my TT 383 starts up that easy when I get it put in my 82 camaro. And yes sir waiting for parts has been ridiculous lately. They don’t even have a estimated date for the cable for that mechanical fuel pump smh. I waited for 3 months for my cam and lifter setup. You’ve given me tons of tips on turbos honestly because my cars currently carbed

Cleetus and Kevin from KSR had that same issue. They updated the firmware on the Holly and the injectors had issues. They had to revert back to an older firmware version in order to fix the issue.

Truck sounds awesome! Put a belt drive or cable drive fuel pump on that thing. That 10gpm pump maxes out around 3900lbs per hour if my math is right.
