I genuinely don’t think I’ve appreciated Tommy’s commentary as much as I should have until this vid. “They’re living in you head rent free bud” so on point lol 😂
Billy, take an IR temp gun with ya when you look at these things so that you can shoot the exhaust manifolds right at the heads and see what each cylinder temp is and it will tell ya quick if it’s got a dead cylinder or if it’s not firing like the others.
You can hear a definite miss in the engine from something, hopefully something simple.
It is gonna be a hell of a good money maker for ya billy! Ya gotta take risks to get the rewards brother!
Yeah yrs ago I bought a truck with a skip. Turned out to be cracked heads.lol it cost me a little but I still got 100,000 miles out of a $4000 truck
I have a 20 gallon cell with dual 450's in it for E85 and a 5 gallon cell with a Magnafuel 750 for Methanol in the back of my S10.
2 sets of injectors, a selector switch on the fiberglass dash for the tune in the Dominator and an Ebay universal ac kit under the dash for drag and drive events.
Truck is backhalved, funny car cage, tube front like yours and triple adjustable Viking shocks all the way around. It also fits a big tire OR a small tire.

Great having a Ford back on the channel. Think it will be a nice car whatever you decide to do with it. Got lots of really nice parts so there's alot to work with! Body looks really solid as well.
It’s all in what motor work is done and the main thing if it’s a stock block because if it is it needs turnt down! Anything past 7psi and it’s living life hanging off the cliff! I’ve split more stock blocks with nitrous and boost then I can county 😂 ford racing block or a dart is the only way to make good fun power with a 8.2 deck and have it live!

Love the foxbody content! There is no denying that those are fun cars to mess around with. Problem is they almost always need to be sorted in some way shape or form. Looking forward to seeing you get that thing ironed out.

I agree with the younger brother when it comes to the street car stuff There's street cars and then there's custom raced cars. The real street cars are the ones you drive to the grocery store on a Saturday morning and then in the evening you meet up with your buddies measure out a quarter mile on some back road and race on pump gas. No fiberglass panels tube chassis etc and so on. Old school street car racing .

Exactly stevemorris made it possible for promods to be street driven for drag week.. can't ever really consider it a streetcar .. but it has all the road legal lights and it does everything else it needs to to meet the rules doesn't mean people are going to accept it themselves as A streetcar either because I don't think even the drivers would except for to joke around like Tom Bailey does to piss people off Billy's vehicles are still so far from a promod it's not even funny and so I get why before he knew his brother sent everyone to talk smack about promod It got under his skin

Mate Tommy has no clue just having to change the fuel does not make it a full on racecar.. a lot run 2 fuel tanks to help with this.

Wearing eye patches for a few days and watching the pick or grinder coming at your eyeball isn't fun neither.
Billy, been welding most my life . Quick tip for tig welding if you maybe didn’t know if you did ignore this. You cut your tig rod in half especially when you in positions welding and it gives you more movability and control . less of a fight to control your puddle . Also cut your tip off each time you break and arc. Truck is looking amazing! Love the new car!

I think the channel that you want to start should be srfc. Street racing family channel with your dad, Jeff, big rob,etc and talk about what engine combo they like and why.
Spreading out the videos offers more potential for a larger footprint aka more Adsense money. It’s the formula all the comedians are using. It’s just a large undertaking. They will then have to hire more people to hold camera or edit. Then it’s a job then you get burnt out from the constant “need” to make content otherwise you can’t pay for the house you bought. Make smart choices.
Side note: you cut the front of the frame off the truck… it’s not a tube chassis promod but to say it’s a street car is trolling.

I'm with Tommy.I drove 78 Z/28 that got driven daily for 9 years but in those 9 years the car got better and faster each year. It was a street car but near the end it was a under cover race car.Either way keep having fun and disregard the haters.Team SRC is getting it done.Billy if you get a chance watch a Bug O gold track pipe welder and do the exact same motion that the robotic welder does and apply that technique to your tig torch you will become alot better at tig.

Love watching your build and love the longer videos (wish your dad would do longer videos). If you can, I'd enjoy a lengthy, detailed video of you guys installing all those parts. Particularly the distributor and EFI system. Along with some instruction and or tips on initial setup and tune. That's just me though, I understand if you can't or wouldn't want to. Anyway, thx for your content.

It is not a Pro Mod it just has some modification to the basic street version of a 1988 S-10 truck. My 1984 has a BBC & nitrous and its not a Pro Mod. Anyway keep up the work cant wait to see it kick butt across the Country.
I agree with Billy because if u can drive it to the store and I have to use hand signals on my harly so the s10 is a street car because of the fuel injection
I like the raffle idea and like what everyone else has been doing. It gives so many more people a chance to get into a car that build and grow. Gives people a chance who may not have had a chance before to get out and go racing.

My version of a street car is no different than what Cleetus does with sick week or Rocky Mountain race week. It's the same if you can drive from A to B without assistance of a trailer , it has working lights and has tags on it , it is a street car.

Gonna have to agree with Tommy this time. Its no promod of course but if you have to alter something you normally race to street it like drain and refill fuel then change tune tires and miss breakfast just to go to breakfast its a racecar that you are trying to street.
Street truck all the way. Put a small tank for alcohol and larger tank for e85. Do some drag and drive events with dual fuel systems.

My 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon fully fabricated suspension on 37’s has a switch panel and is a daily street car.

I use a thumb wheel on my Diversion welder. Works great and I use it every time don't even use foot pedal anymore.
The problem is people need to realize that Promods got faster from the 1980's but the street cars got a lot faster since the 1990's. Street cars closed the gap. I know people will be pissed for saying this but, look at Tom Bailey or Larry Larson doing drag week. Yes they are purpose built but they have working lights and can drive 1000's of miles. To me that's still a street car. I know it's extreme but hey they can physically drive on the street.

Oh Billy you got a EFI intake coming so you can add a Second set of fuel injectors for E-85 and one set for Methanol. There set up for Street and strip. Street Car..............
Sounds like a 351w with 302 cam or visa-versa . They have different firing order . That thing should fly when you get that sorted !
what makes a car a street car is the reliability not the cage or removing the ac and heat, look at tom bailey for example, he drives a full pro mod more than most peoples racecars will go all because they made it reliable

$25,000 to $10,000? The price of fox body Mustangs has gotten crazy over the last 10 years. I never thought they would ever be worth $10,000 in my lifetime but considering the times 10K is a deal today.

Chuck 405 says if it has a radiator and you use coolant or water it is a street car. That's what he used to say and what he does say about his original Mustang the death trap. It's not a race car it's a street car because of the radiator. Go figure, But I do kind of agree. But on the other hand he don't go to the grocery store don't take his kids to and from school etc etc... So I can see both sides of the coin.
