Hi again, 99% GPU usage isn’t necessarily a bad thing. You want to be getting full use of your GPU in a game like this. If it was 99% on a smaller scale game that might be something to think twice about but as long as your frame rate is okay I wouldn’t worry about high GPU usage
@@tomfinler thank you for replying man, day 1 with my OLED and was scared I could break it at 99% burn the hardware up lol, makes sense! Appreciate the videos will be watching more now that I own one
@ playing the Witcher 3 and it looks crazy good! I want to play ghost runner 2 but it failed to work via the heroic launcher thing, starting campaign leads to a white screen with the audio. Oh well just messing around with games
I pay on the steam deck, only change i make is changing it to direct x 11,runs smoother. You can change it do dx11 in the options b4 launching the game when in steam os,i think its in the betta section if not its in one of the options b4 launching the game from the dashboard
@@tomfinler Yes, apparently it should have an uplift in the framerate. I saw another video suggesting the same. Maybe you should do a comparison run with DX11? :)
Think I understand a bit better now - do you mean the toggle on the launcher? That was on for me by default and I left it on, but I didn’t then change or do anything else with mods, does that help?
Awesome, I just picked the complete edition off the steam sale for a few quid. I can't wait to get stuck in!
Hope you have a great time with it! (I’m sure you will)
Thanks just got my OLED today and this is the first game I want to play and beat
Hope you enjoy it!
@ wooo thanks!
Fantastic video! You deserve more subs.
Hey thanks! Really kind of you to say
Thank you for a very detailed video :)
No problem at all I’m glad you liked it! 😄
Dang my GPU percentage stays at 99% on my OLED with Ultra textures. I’m assuming that’s not good to be at 99%..?

No problem! What other games are you thinking of picking up to play on Steam Deck?

Thank god your video showed up in my recommendation again i couldn't find you because i accidentally kept searching tom finder not tom finler
I’m glad you found it again! 😀 the algorithm can be a little strange sometimes
@@tomfinler especially because I look up steam deck videos every day lol 🤣
Great video man!
Hey thanks I really appreciate that!

I didn’t try DX11, when you say smoother do you mean better framerate?
@@tomfinler Yes, apparently it should have an uplift in the framerate. I saw another video suggesting the same. Maybe you should do a comparison run with DX11? :)
Yes, and with GFN 😅
GeForce Now? I’ve never tried that service but I am seeing more and more people using it with the Steam Deck. Do you recommend?
Absolutely if you have good network. Steam deck is great cloud device aswell. @@tomfinler
@@tomfinler definitely
Mine is unable to synch specifically witcher3 the rest of my games are okay. Do you know how to fix?
Hi! Not too sure, is it the Steam cloud that’s not syncing or something within the game?
Playing it on the rog ally. Unfortunately the steam deck is obsolete now
Plenty still to like about it! Are you thinking in terms of the power of the two systems you prefer the ROG Ally?
Should I toggle mods on or off ?
Everything I did for the video was with mods off, I’ve actually not really done much modding on Steam Deck so far
@tomfinler doesn't the game have intergrated mods ?
Think I understand a bit better now - do you mean the toggle on the launcher? That was on for me by default and I left it on, but I didn’t then change or do anything else with mods, does that help?
@tomfinler yea
You can try 3.1 fsr framegenmods aswell,
Is that a mod that introduces FSR 3.1 into the game? That’s cool!
if only i could figure out how to get the coop/multiplayer mod working with witcher 3 i'd download it on my deck within a heartbeat!
That’s interesting I didn’t know there was a multiplayer mod for Witcher 3!
Appreciate the docked review part. Subbed.
Thank you! I’m glad you found it useful 😊
