Today I am building a large fantasy Asian temple in my hardcore Minecraft world. This is a Sun Temple, one of the first pieces of explained lore in my world. The Sun Temple holds the sun as it fades into the evening and keeps the city below it safe.
We left off at Day 1000 and today we're going to get through almost the next 200 days of Minecraft with catch up projects, storage filters, rebuilding our dark oak farm, placing 6000 more dragon eggs for our monument drain project, and a few mob switches.

A few notes as I always do including one important one.
1) I'm aware that a test world clip made it's way into the video and I'm sorry for that. I don't normally record if I have to test something for exactly this reason. Building a mob switch with 75 live wardens is scary AF and since I've never built one in ANY world I built it first in a test/copy world but recorded it to see if there were any problems and what I messed up. That's footage that was meant to be deleted and I see it's gotten in. I didn't notice b/c I built it in the same spot in testing to ensure there were no spawnable areas that I missed. It's a bad look so I'm sorry it made it in but I wasn't building this without testing. 75 wardens on me is insta death and yes I know "it's a test world" sounds like bullsnot. I did *actually* build this in survival/hardcore. And "test world" isn't code for "I fricked it up and redid it" but I know that's how it looks. I'm VERY aware which is why I'm pinning this.
2) Most of this video was recorded in November and super early Dec. I focused on getting the 1000 Days and 1000 Days World Tour out but as soon as 10 was finished recording, I went back to play the world. That means 12, 13, and 14 are all recorded. Anything I make changes to "live" now is Ep 15+. :)
3) I'm considering a "My Builds Evolved" style video where I do 2019, 2020, 2021, etc. all the way through this and Ep 12 as my "first builds" of 2024. Does that hold interest? Would you watch?
Again I'm very sorry that test clip got in here. It's unfortunately part of the reality of making YT vids that you want to do your best and sometimes still mess up.

I could've probably ignored it or hidden the 2 comments who pointed it out or whatever and nobody would ever think twice but it's not my style. I did record that footage, it did get into the final ep, so I gotta own that it was a mistake.
You're fine dude. Don't worry. Even if you were cheating, I really don't care. People expect too much from content creators. The amount of time it takes to make a 20 minute video with huge projects is just insane and absolutely not worth it for the creator most of the time. So don't worry about it.
The farm/storage portion of this video was very satisfying. Love a full storage.
And the sun temple is beautiful!

The storage is sooooooooooo nice to have done!! I am currently crafting redstone components offline and it's soooooo good to fill up those chests and be able to say YES I have that! haha Thanks for the kind words!

Yeah Blast Prot 4 is OP way more than I knew. I'm glad storage is DONE too - putting filter in isn't fun but at least it's usable now. The mob switch / warden switches were PETRIFYING to build. And the roofs on the temple are def my favourite part!

That's the plan! Episodes 11, 12 and 13 are all aesthetic builds, although 12 is a somewhat smaller build (you'll see why in 2 weeks) and 13's aesthetic build isn't even for this area. haha But yes, definitely time to build and get this city going. :)

Thanks ... I think ... thumbnails maybe? If I could get 10% CTR instead of 6-7% CTR from people who don't already know me (subs, Twitch people etc. click through over 12%). Then maybe we'd see that growth? Otherwise it's just up to UA-cam. I'm happy, things are growing, but they never really give me enough impressions to get OUT out there. The one time they did (Episode 1) everything went pretty well. :)

Im all for most things in hardcore in the "if it can be done in minecraft its allowed" category, the mob switch is the one exception. Basically turning it from hard difficulty to peaceful, which defeats half the purpose of hardcore.
I agree in a lot of ways and have never used one before this. I added one to the world so I have it but also because sometimes there are things you want to do that just do NOT make sense to do with mobs around like fixing the water buckets in the quad farm. I don't plan to use it "full time" but if it can reduce the "annoyance" of certain projects without reducing much danger, I'm for it. But I do get it ... I just think it sucked that 90% of technical minded players have or use one and I'm meant not to have one or use one. But again, I do definitely understand.

Absolutely fantastic, Rad. I love that you can pretty much do anything you want in this world now. I have so many mob switch questions but for now: one mob switch controls ALL the hostile mobs in the entire world even in areas never before loaded? And what happens with the mechanics in the mob farms when its on? Maybe you turn it off.....anyway I love this so much. The new build is gorgeous and I think bringing it in with the Litematica makes for a better timelapse? Idk, the timelapse was really satisfying being built in layers. Speaking of satisfying, hello completed storage. Very nice, sir. Very nice. :)
Thanks!! Yes, it's very nice to have most of the resources I want in the world. Not everything yet but we're getting there for sure. The mob switch controls the overworld so if I turn it on, no creepers, zombies, spiders, enderman, etc. in the overworld. This does mean I have to turn it off to run farms like the quad mob farm, the raid farm, etc. The chunkloader basically sends a cart to the overworld where those 75 wardens are. If they're loaded, hostile mob cap is "full" and no guardians, no witches, yep.
The litematica ... idk. I'm mixed on it but so far everyone seems to have liked it. I would prefer a) not to build in litematica whenever I have a choice (which you don't on an 8000 block building) or b) to keep it "invisible" as much as possible. I do use it and tell people I use it but I'd rather ... it not be a feature? If that makes sense. It does make big projects pretty satisfying though! :)

You and I have the same brain when it comes to technical Minecraft. I lack the creative element though. So my worlds are super productive, I can farm everything efficiently, but it feels empty and hollow because there's nothing besides farms. I wish I had a partner. Someone like GoodTimesWithScar that I could just funnel all my materials to and they'd happily build away forever. 😂 I really am looking forward to the auto crafter though. Gonna link all my farms together and have them auto crafting nearly everything and then sorting all of those items automatically. I'd also love to have a honey block wall that has a constant waterfall of all the items I'm farming and crafting automatically before they get sorted.
I used to be *exactly* like you describe and I talked with several friends about a duos hc world that would be SUPER productive AND SUPER beautiful. Servers just create a whole new level of challenge and weirdness when you're a super technical player ... plus ping so it's not incredibly easy. So ... I'm learning to build. It's a work in progress but worth my time.

although short this felt like a normal length episode, having said that this was a good and fun episode to watch, warden switches are scary there is a reason im still to tackle a warden yet, keep up the work
Yeah a bit of a shorter one for this, mainly because no matter how long stuff takes IRL, I only want it to take as much of the video as it deserves. The build gets a 3-6 minute timelapse, the farm "usage" gets a couple, then there's a few of the episode and the story and the content ... and that was it this time. :) They won't all be shorter but it's nice when you can breeze through a welcome back ep. :)

You can do it! The storage build wasn't bad, just the filter filling and honestly, I just put on a stream, vibed and finished it after I'd collected the items. And thanks - I love this temple build. One of my faves ever!
The becaon inside the roof is such a nice touch on the temple!

The black and white intro is A-Maz-Ing. Hehehe backwards up a ladder. Blast proc is amazing (and you should do a test on projectile proc as well... a leather projectile proc saved me from a world restart a couple worlds back). Those eggs... OMG What if you accidentally broke a Sign! Love a good digging montage. I'm intrigued what the red and white inside the roof is for... Everything looks better in shaders!! Especially Sunsets. *** The sun has been saved for the next episode
Yeah I love how the intro came out! It shows the time that's passed since Ep 10 well, I think. Blast prot testing was CRAZY! If I break a sign on the dragon egg project? I mald and cry and we figure out how to get it set back up ... and I cry. The inside of the roof was designed that way in case I do an interior and also b/c it was visible when I first started designing, then I covered over a lot of it as I went.

Thank you so much! I think having a set colour palette helps me a lot. I don't have to think every time I want to make a build. It's just - here are your blocks, go arrange them in a way that looks nice.
@@RadicalElder Sounds like a good way to go about your builds! I tend to have a couple of go-to color palettes too and when I use them, my builds always seem to turn out well. I do like to experiment with odd pairings, but I'm never as happy with them.
I'll experiment sometimes, like the pink on the main pagoda or one of the upcoming builds that isn't even Asian themed but having one palette even if you use it differently definitely helps. I think the area will look cohesive, too.

Hey, are you open to suggestions as to what to build?
If yes why don't you build a dojo themed build, and it can like house every weapon type in the game with different enchantments like a smite 5 sword, bane of arthropods etc
And to make it better you can trap the respective mob in like a display above the weapon
It's just a suggestion and an idea I came up with after seeing the sun temple as it reminded me of that scene in karate kid when he sees the people doing kata in like a town square
Some kind of dojo in the future would be a great idea, maybe around when I do the military builds. I'm not sure I'll use it as a "mob zoo" b/c I think they're a bit overdone but I could use "some" mobs in there as like sensei or something. We'll see how we roll. Maybe I'll find some diamond covered zombies for it. :D

I'm undecided. Generally, no, but I do put schematics for a lot of the builds up at radicalelder.info/ so it's possible to get a bunch of this stuff into the same seed, even now.

I ended up putting up schematics instead of a tutorial. radicalelder.info/ It's available for free here ... the thing about a tutorial is when I look at the comments and such on my old ones, it makes me not want to do them. Not only that, the quad farm tutorial, the last tutorial on my channel, was easily the most underperforming video I've done in almost a year. I'm not a full time tutorial maker like Shulkercraft or ianxofour so unfortunately it wouldn't be a "perfect" tutorial and then people will more complain than be happy lol

I'm a Bedrock player I need To Build Fishing Village but I don't know how to build loul and seeing YTbers here Giving me Inspiration here to build but When I go tk Build I don't have Materials loul I've used it in Farms Loul I think I need some Break Here And Just Go and Just Collect Blocks here That's it put some Music on and then Just Mine Away
Yeah, not having the blocks you need is really bad for inspiration. You get very excited but can't finish the build. I spent the first 1000 days making all these big farms so I can just go get (almost) anything and now it's build time for sure! :D
