They literally a do a cash back scam and drain your bank im a victim but I didn’t even give a password. They purchased and told thier bank they didn’t authorize that purchase and. I sent receipt and still lost my account and got put in the negative
I nearly got scammed because I'm looking for an apartment. And they take over the landlord's account. And she said she needed $70 for a background check and credit I know because it's actually $20 or $15 not 70
It is so true. These scammers work so hard to scam someone, they probably could of made more money just getting a job. I just put several bikes up for sale on Craigslist, no scam junk yet, but no bites yet either. Great information for everyone to know and watch out for.
Thanks Jerry for the heads up. I saw a lot of things on Facebook marketplace I have had fishy people contact me, but If I just if I don’t feel comfortable with them, I get rid of them ❤
Agree buyer beware. Thankfully never had that kind of problem and pray I never will but that the issue you never know. Scammers and outright thieves out that these days. Thanks for good video JT. Peace.
Posted my electric bike on Facebook a year ago same thing ,within 5 minutes somebody wanted to buy my bike without looking at it.? Can't remember quite how the scam went But after a couple of red flags I asked where he lived, while he was looking up a place close to me I looked up his profile and found out he was in England .. 16 minutes later he named a town close to mine😂🖕
Hey Jerry... thanks for the video, good info. It was nice running into you & Jenn yesterday at R/R Park, nice conversation. Would love to get together in the future to ride & maybe have lunch. Reach out when you get back from Vacation... Tom/Linda
Wow! I've gotten these kind of scams in the past too. PayPal will always address you by your account name not just send you a message. If your name is not referenced in the letter/Email it's a scam. Glad you did not get taken! Talk soon.
The emerald necklace trail is 89 mile loop around Cleveland. It is all trails until you get to the north section along the lake. That section is shared lanes with traffic but not bad. I’m not sure where you are coming in from but you can do a section at a time. Trust me it’s worth the drive up. You won’t regret it🚴
@@Ebiketips1 that's a bummer about north... I thought it would be nice to see the water. Also not sure my bike can handle an 89 mile ride as well as I've never actually rode that far so let me re-phrase that, I'm not sure my rear can handle an 89 mile ride haha
@@Ebiketips1 you also had codes for mooncool... and was talking about marketplace... do you by any chance happen to be selling one of their new trikes?
@@Ebiketips1 We do need a US version of the solar tour race. I try to be pure solar with a large 55ah battery; however when pushing past 50mi+ days I still love a good plugin for my 48v 10a charger. My solar trailer provides around 1100w on a good day in Arizona.

how long is that trail? I live an hour and a half south of cleveland and I'm always looking for trails to ride.

@97JoMiller I hear you on that! You can do sections at a time for sure. Look at my short videos, it’s mostly that trail.
I think it wasn't even about the bike at all, I'll bet they wanted to get your bank info to get your money from your account.
Agreed
I have the same mirrors on my ebike. They are really good mirrors.
