- The opening track to the 1985 Level 42 live album ‘a physical presence’. Probably the biggest influence to my bass playing, particularly in the early years; the energy of the band and the recording still sounds fresh today, I never get tired of listening to this. The outro which starts off with just the bass and drums blew me away when I first heard this 25 years ago and I loved recording to this part, it’s still so awesome! 🙌💥🎸🥁

This concert tour in 1985 was L42's peak in fusion pop funk, to me. Though they had some interesting song in later years, too, this was really their hottest time 🔥

Very nice job. It's a lot to remember. My flatmate used to play bass with same washburn guitar and Trace Elliot gear and play along to Mark King. Great days. ( I think I'm remembering correctly)
