I had to buy the Emotiva BasX A2 after I found out that my almost-30-yr.-old Yamaha MX-1 sounded fantastic, but obviously has issues with popping and crackling in the left channel. Oh well!
Nice video! I've got a pair of the LS50 Metas and am looking for a good power amplifier to replace the Crown XLS 2502 I'm currently using for them. It's not a good match for the Metas. Emotiva's BasX A1 monoblocks, Outlaw 2220 monoblocks and the Avantone Pro CLA-400 are the leading candidates.
Im powering tall full range towers with my A300, id think it be too powerful for a set of LS50's. I suppose so long as you dont crank it too high, theyll take the power just fine.
A300 has more than enough power for them, the KEFs are rated 50-100w. The are not dynamic speakers, more detailed and refined. With the Emotiva setup, I prefer to use the B1+, as all 3 pcs have good synergy together (PT100, A300, B1+).
I have an A-300 and the newer A3 running my 5 base channels in a surround system. I am very happy with them.

I would use a Rotel 1582 in that range. Emotiva is good, but not as refined for KEF LS50. Never heard of the other two.
@@webking185 I hadn't considered the Rotel. Thanks for the tip!
Hi! Does this amplifier have enough refinement and detail for the ls50?

if you are looking to go loud with these, I would use something else. I think I had the volume at 50-57db 2:48, and the max for the PT-100 is 80db.
