We have Irish Fest every year here where I live. I like wearing a kilt because it feels freeer than shorts or trousers. I'd wear a kilt every day if it was common place. I have a utility kilt and a cotton polyester blend kilt. I would very much like to buy a kilt in my family tartan colors.
The length of a traditional kilt is massive. Definitely keep you warm, and could take it off and keep your family under there, even make a tent out of them 😂

The history of the short kilt given here is dubious. The great kilt was stitched together from two pieces of cloth (upper and lower). The short kilt just consisted of the lower piece. The story of Rawlinson surfaced more than 30 years after Rowlinson;s death. Anyway the short kilt or kilt as we know it today still originated in Scotland. It started to surface in the late 1680’s.

My family ancestry has been traced back to scary Mary Queen of Scots. I believe I belong to the Strathclyde-Briton clan as our last name is Caldwell. Considering purchasing my first kilt.

They are not skirts the kilt is only worn by men and boys unless the lassies do highland dancing. The lassies have the arasaid clothes.
