I will never stop loving the Beatles because their music is like the soundtrack of my life since I was 5 years old in 1981.
And their influence continues: ua-cam.com/video/3Z0ezzPRNao/v-deo.html
I was five years old in 1969…and I know exactly what you mean. They will be timeless for sure.
Same ☝
I kept asking my dad to play "the album with the faces", meaning Revolver's cover, which fascinated me. And still does.
I feel the same, but for me it started in 1964 when I watched them on the Ed Sullivan show. I was 6 at the time.
Same since I was about 4 in 1987. My Mum always tells people my Brother and I know every word to every song. She’s not wrong 😂
How much I still miss The Beatles. I hear them with joy but my heart aches.

50 years later... unbelievable!!!
I remember seeing people sleeping on the streets outside the ABC cinema in Edinburgh around winter 1963 waiting to get tickets for the Beatles. My parents thought they were crazy. I bought my first Beatles single, I Feel Fine, in 1964 at a record shop on the High Street in Edinburgh.

Young kids that are just discovering the tunes, the musicologists that have read every book, the engineers and crew that helped create it, people that saw the original edit, even the surviving Beatles..... everyone of them is seeing this footage for the first time ever..... at the least, it's the first time in fifty years that even the band gets to see it. “Let it be” should be the theme song for everyone, it means so much, way ahead of their time.
The Beatles will be remembered forever
the Beatles changed my life in 1964 i was only 9 i became a muso, played in a band still do today and a guitar teacher thank you for changing my life at a young age long live the Beatles
Their music moves me to tears. I was a baby when this album was recorded. The dark haired girl in the red jumper said it. They are part of our collective cultural conciousness.
I am Jamaican my intro to the Beatles was their image appearing on lunch kit
I remember, to this day, being in England in 1964 as a 7 yr old child and hearing a song on the radio. It was the first time I ever heard a song on the radio. Not that the radio wasn't playing songs all the time, but this was the first time I actually "heard" a song. I was at my Nan and Grandad's house in Luton, and this song came on. Like nothing I'd ever heard before. At the time I didn't know who did it and even today, I couldn't tell you what song it was. But, it was like fresh air being pumped into that old row house. I heard the music for the first time in my life. And even if I don't remember the song...I will always remember the sound. It was the Beatles.
I've been a professional musician now for almost 50 yrs because of that moment. Still playing gigs. Just now in the Texas Hill Country. It's been quite the journey from that day in Luton so very long ago.
There are no words to describe how talented and wonderful they were.

*Yesterday, today and forever The Beatles, the biggest band in the world*
"Yesterday and Today" and "Rubber Soul" were such GREAT albums. But the next one, "Revolver" in 1966, really rocketed them towards the higher orbital paths.
I saw Beatles live in Hammersmith Odeon. I am 71 years old. It was a highlight in my life for sure.
could you hear anything?
I'm a life long Beatles fan. I took a trip over to London in the summer of 1974 when I was 18. Stayed with relatives in Ealing. I walked from Picadilly Circus over to Savile Row and sat on the front steps of the old Apple building. I thought of how many times the Beatles had been there and I could still sense there vibe as I was sitting there. It was classic. I went over to Abbey Road and Abbey Road studios too. Back then there were no tourists hanging out in those places.
Centuries from now, people will still listen to them like we listen to Beethoven or Mozart today. The stars must have been aligned when those four got together.
The Beatles have meant so much to me, "in my life" as they say. They opened my mind as a kid to something beautiful beyond the grey northern English world around me. They also made me feel that working-class kids in northern towns can aspire to be more and think more deeply about the world and art and music and that's OK. The world and my entire life would have been much smaller and more grey without them.
I suspect we may be long lost brothers because you have succinctly summed up how I feel about them.
Eat some 'shrooms.

Crazy, right?
To really understand and appreciate The Beatles you have to go back in time to the late 50s early 60s when the production was like a assembly line. Someone wrote the song, someone else sang the song, someone else played the music. Beatles came along and did it all, and did it better. Wrote , sang, , played, with their own unique sound and look. The originators of Rock n Roll. To write a song takes a effort. To write a song that becomes a hit, you have talent To write a song that becomes #1 your on top of the charts To hold the #1,2,3,4 and 5 spot on billboard's top 100 songs Of April 1964 all in a row.... You're on top of the world. A record that will never be broken. It is highly possible that no other group of four young men will ever get together and do what the Beatles did for the music Industry. They revolutionalized and changed the world. Thank you John Paul George and Ringo. For those who missed it, I'm truly sorrow. For those who were there to experience it, wasn't life grand?
Yes it was and is, im a 65 year young. Beatle fan since feb 64 and will be till death do us part!

Speaking as a musician, think about how HARD it is to write a memorable song. Or a memorable guitar part, or bass part, or drumming part. Then ponder that the Beatles did this hundreds of times. Truly mind-boggling.

My son and I had the pleasure of visiting Abbey Road Studios in August, 2018 for a lecture in Studio Two (!) about the magic that lives there. There are no feelings to compare with the ones of walking into the enormous room or walking up the stairs to the control room and I will never forget watching as my son played the final chord of "A Day In The Life" on one the four pianos used (the "Mrs. Mills" piano), the one played by Paul and Ringo. The lanyard I was given at the start of the tour will always hang by my bedside and I sometimes kiss it goodnight. It was a honor and a privilege and if you ever get the chance (they offer the lecture from time to time), GO! Your life will be complete.
I get it! believe Studio 2 is Holy Ground. They opened it up twice this year in August and now November (don't quote me), but no pics were allowed.
I hope they'll do it again in 2022. I plan to be there.
The Beatles were magic.
The legacy the Beatles left is simply so huge and so monolithic it almost defies description. Their presence in the world is of historic proportions, and they are not likely to be completely forgotten in 100 years from now or even 200. The fact that people still retain such a strong interest in the Beatles and their music more than 50 years after the band broke up, is proof of the indelible mark it left on the world.
I feel Paul's voice was never recorded better than it was in "Get Back".
This is one of those moments I would visit first if I could travel back in time.

@@TampaDave Yep correct, England, most of the top bands at the time were emerging from Liverpool...Love me do was released in 62, America got it in 64.
It's interesting, what's mentioned at about 06:00, how Billy Preston's presence improved the mood, and cheered everyone up. I think the main reason for that was that Preston was a "guest" and the guys were conscious of it and were careful to behave themselves. When it was just the four of them (and George Martin and whatever technicians were there), it was more like it was just "the family" and they were less inhibited whenever they got annoyed or lost their tempers. And by this time, they had been together so long, and stored up enough resentments with each other, and their creative differences were getting strong enough that when they didn't have a guest present to motivate them to be on their best behavior, they _could_ get downright nasty to each other and make each other really angry. It was quite literally a case of familiarity breeding contempt. But people mind their manners better around guests and strangers. Preston's presence, I think, motivated them all to hold that back a bit, and almost certainly kept them from getting under each others' skin, and thus the old friendship and camaraderie reemerged and let them have fun working on this while they were minding their manners.
OK Boomer.
Cool story bro
That makes sense doesn’t it? Since at the time it was reported that they weren’t getting along and the original get back documentary highlighted all that tension?
Perhaps, Mate. Peace, Rocky
Or Billy Preston is such a happy, smiling character it puts people in a good mood
