Hey man idk if you still even do UA-cam but I have and mk6 gli and was looking for a downpipe too. I’ve been told to stay away from the cts downpipe by multiple people saying it like breaks and doesn’t weld well. How was your experience with how it lasted?
Any flyby videos of this downpipe only install? Looking to get Non Catted highflow as well

@TonySanch what else is done to the gli ? You installed a cts turbo down pipe and it sounded like that just because of the down pipe ? Do you have charge pipes installed and anything else like tune or intercooler ?

why was the downpipe attached to the turbo via a v-band? Thats not oem is it?
would it make more sense to just put in a turbo back exhaust? straight pipe the whole exhaust with the downpipe install all in one for just over double the cost of downpipe. Am I trippin?
I’ve got a Jetta GLI 2012 2.0 & it has 3 O2 sensors.But the downpipe only has 2 ports.
I wish I had volkswagen people in my community....

If you got CTS all the way back, it would sound pretty close to how it does with no exhaust lol. Current CTS TBE owner.

So I have a question since I'm kind of new to my cat list downpipe from CTS Turbo. Am I supposed to be getting a lot of exhaust smell coming up into my car? Because like I'm getting a lot of fumes

Just realized his downpipe is catless, but the downpipe in the description is catted, so the sounds you hear in the end is more turbo noises from Catless, I have a catted one and I don’t hear the turbo as much as him
Is yours mounted to oem exhaust?
Do a resonator delete, it'll sound great with downpipe & only costs like $100

CTS uses a Magnaflow catalytic converter. I'm not sure on the exact part # tho.
Is this catless? Because in pa having no cat you can't pass emissions. What I'm thinking is I just buy this cts downpipe catless exhaust, and weld a cat on it, and get a magna flow muffler.
They have a option to add a cat I think it’s a extra $100
did he have any issues with back pressure because he left the stock muffler on?
He likely would due to less resistance and larger pipe. He'll need to do a tune. With a 3" downpipe and 91, he can get a stage 2 tune. I'd recommend completing the exhaust and intake first though, otherwise he'd have to get another tune to get it just right.
What does the downpipe do for tbe tdi? Also, how have you liked the apr tune?
Not sure, but the tune worked great!

@@TonySanchez it is a metric 6. I had to heat mine up with a torch so it didn't strip when I was taking it off.

is there any drone with the catless downpipe? I really want to do a downpipe but im scared it will be a lot louder. i use my bluetooth a lot and commute with my car so a mostly quiet ride is important to me, id like some sound though.. i do plan to use my stock catback though. anyway, any drone???
Its not to bad. Like if your cruising at about 2500 or 2700 you can't really hear it. Anything past that you begin to hear it

The care drones because of the soundaktor. Whenever I went to give it a little bit of gas, it would drone. I took off the soundaktor ( took 5 mins) and the drone is gone, car sounds quiet on the inside.

that sounds fucking sick with the stock muffler lol, had to rewatch to hear if it was tuned already or not... i didnt catch if it was catless or not but it looked like it had one..
how many lights came on when you fired up with out o2 sensors though.

mohamed77224 I used oxygen spacer sensor extension ... you should look at UA-cam it will help you if u have question I can help you

mohamed77224 depends on the type of test and where you go. If it's a sniffer you Will fail also make sure you car is warmed up so the cold start is not even a thing.
Question, what state are you in? I'm pretty sure this wont pass Virginia state inspection

I have a 2017 Jetta gli and it's all unitronic stage 2. The car run sounds drives beautiful. Not too much of a cts fan unitronic is a bit more expensive but the quality is way better.

Does the tailpipe needs a gasket on the flange where the v clamp goes? I've seen a gasket on tailpipes that are attached with 4 bolts .
