- i didn't care much for this movie when i watched it subbed, so the dub made it so much better. reminds me a bit of the antics from part 2.

I appreciate it when Goemon is driving something. He's old-fashioned and not always good with tech, but he's not hopelessly out of touch. These characters are always more fascinating when they're more than what they seem.
One thing that I liked about Jigen in Part 2 (that they unfortunately deemphasized in later installments) is showing him as surprisingly erudite, including a love for fine wine, classical music, opera, and demonstrating a knowledge of history that even rivaled Lupin's.

I like to believe Goemon was given a console as a gift and is all too cracked at it. He and Jigen playing smash in the back of the car and bickering about how unfair those combos were

It's hilarious to see the difference between Zenigata and Yata in front of the gang's shenanigans. One is absolutely used to it and sometimes joins in on the madness, while the other is completely clueless 100% of the time 😂
Lol that’s a big part of why I enjoyed this one, it’s a really fun contrast and nice to see Zenigata have someone to bounce off (that’s not the gang) and be a teacher too. I think basically everyone likes Yata as a new and modern addition, and I hope they keep including him in things
Or, very occasionally, surprise everyone…

I really hope Yata is here to stay.

One of the better Lupin specials IMO. The animation and style they went with work so well. And both the Japanese and English actors are amazing as always. That sandwich scene will forever be in my mind.
The video itself really captured how chaotic this adventure was. The little edits made me laugh.

Everyone is easily at their most chaotic in this one (in modern times at least).
Especially Fujiko and Yata.
But in this flawlessly charming Lupin way, where they are still effortlessly charming.

After seeing the entire thing… yeah. It’s Part II mixed with Cagliostro in the best way possible.

*A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.*
This. This is what part 6 has been missing so far; the humour and highjinks and just plain dumb fun that is so crucial an element to the Lupin lll series. Hell, even Koike, who has the grittiest Lupin incarnation thus far, managed to sneak in a couple of slapsticky moments, but so far, the latest part takes itself, and particularly Lupin, far too serious.
That’s because he’s supposed to be that way. Before Miyazaki stepped on the scene Green Jacket Lupin was a sexist, perverted, chauvinistic, trigger happy, psychotic bastard.
If you’re not a fan of dark Lupin I’d avoid his Green Jacket installments (which are few) and think about it this way anytime you want to engage in any Lupin media.
Green Jacket = Chaotic
Red Jacket = ICONIC & Goofy
Pink Jacket = 80s Nostalgia
Blue Jacket = Modern

This one became my favourite as soon as I finished it.
I love Yata so much. Boi is so out of his depth *all the time* and nobody EVER tries to help him. Somehow tho I figured he was more of a briefs guy...
I would've thought boxer briefs, personally. But Yata is definitely my favorite thing to come out of modern Lupin. He's just a normal guy stuffed into the random, wacky world of Lupin. Though, as we saw in this movie (and this video), even he can surprise people.

Its one of the better tv specials for sure. The story is fun and theres lot of little details that foreshadow whats actually happening, making it easy to rewatch.
