LOL - I'm Japanese, and I didn't know that! (To be fair, I grew up in Canada, so I don't know everything about Japanese language and culture.) I don't understand why they have Jigen refer to himself as a misogynist or woman-hater, though. He's not a creepy incel. He's not a stone-cold philanderer who goes around using and abusing women. He doesn't commit any violence against women. He simply avoids getting romantically involved with women, because he thinks this life of crime is not a good life for a woman. (On the extremely rare occasion he's fallen in love with a woman, he always ends up breaking it off because he knows his crazy life of crime is much too dangerous for them). He also doesn't like getting all vulnerable and sentimental and be able to be easily manipulated by a woman's wiles, the way Lupin is all the time... I think that's fair. (I'm a woman.)
@@crystalidentity Imagine if there was a version of Jigen who learned to have a much more healthy relationship with women or be given a chance to have a character arc or a logical end point set up for him that allows him to retire should Lupin die. Honestly, the day that Lupin legitimately dies (because fat chance he'll willingly retire, being Lupin the Third is usually way too important to the guy) is the day that the Lupin gang probably retires, I would imagine Fujiko would go on for a lot longer or die along with Lupin, and Pops will probably just retire himself as well while leaving a successor, probably Yamata. As for Jigen and Goemon, they definitely will retire and give up on crime, 100%. Most of the time, I am convinced that the only reason they steal stuff is because of their loyalty to Lupin, and honestly, I cannot blame them.

She is waiting on who she believes to be Goemon, hand and foot (weird), then fake Goemon pretends to go to sleep, then reaches out his hand, and suddenly grabs the girl and pulls her into bed with him!! The girl FREAKS OUT (rightly so, WTF??) and **SLAPS** the crap out of who she now knows to be Lupin, and storms off angrily. That scene creeped me right out...!! 👀 **MAJOR SIDE-EYE**
