I didn't want to screw up my Xbox so I substituted it with the support foam that came in the xbox packaging. Worked like a charm. Thank you so much for this info. The wobbly screen has been bugging the heck out of me since the day I picked it up on launch. :)
Take a look around your house, you may find similar feet under speakers, other electronic appliances, DVD, cd players etc that have rubber feet you could try.
Not sure but the weight of the top screen on the 3ds xl should make it less of an issue to begin with? My 3ds xl moves but is overall fine. Adopting this concept might work with a tweak. I wouldn't imagine the 360 phat foot doing the job though...
Rubber feet on the kid Icarus stand work very well. You will need to play around with position of foot. Needs to sit somewhere in-between the hinge line and the back of the 3rd unit. It is thinner than the xbox's foot so it might allow for some very minor movement. Cheers leafy-m.
The hinge is set loose to possibly avoid the cracking issue in ds, dsxl, etc. id rather a bit of wobble then a cracked hinge. As to why some wobble more than others? Differing standards across nintendos various manufacturing plants.
Got a New Nintendo 2DS XL and got this wobbly issue too and quite badly in my opinion. Only Nintendo portable I can compare with is Nintendo DS Lite but they are built a bit differently and the New 2DS XL has a smaller hinge vs screen ratio. :/
My 3ds xl does wobble a touch but not as much as the original 3ds. Therefore its not just your xl. The issue is subjective anyway and some people couldnt care less. Don't worry about it unless it interferes with your enjoyment of the game.
I tried this during a three day period, but one flaw: IT PEELS OFF! Does gorilla glue or some kind of other glue work? Did you use the stickiness of the rubber foot, or something?
Actually forgot I had an old broken 360 elite in my garage took the pads off it and worked fine and luckily they are black like my 3DS so it matches ^_^. Thing that sucks though now after I fix the wobble I have a dead pixel again after sending it in >_> at least its just a single pixel this time. Going to just deal with it though don't play my 3DS enough to even bother sending it in again.

If you want see this for yourself, walk into a game store (like GAME, or Cex) and ask to see all of their 2nd hand 3ds models - You will not find 2 the same. I am incredibly appalled by Nintendo's disgraceful manufacturing consistency. Don't be fooled by Nintendo telling you this is "normal". If it was normal, then all models will be the same, and they are far from being the same. If you want my advice, buy a 2nd hand 3DS (maybe from eBay), and specifically ask the seller about the top screen. To be 100% certain, get them to make a video of them attempting to wobble the top screen. Sounds drastic, but needs to be done if you want a proper working model. OR, better yet, tell Nintendo to go screw themselves and fix up on their manufacturing quality.

Had the system since the 360 first came out so might be the adhesive has just aged too much. Think I'll just send my system in for repairs again instead sucks though I had just sent it in a month before to get dead pixels fixed on it >_

My new 3ds xl does this. Old 3ds does this now but did not do it when it was new.

Yes it will eventually peel off, only natural as its just tacky not glue per se. I just restick mine when it pops off.

I would consider finding an alternative to xbox360 feet as there is always the chance you could end up with the same problem and then some....

I used a bit from an eraser and duct tape the bit to the back of my 3ds....it looks like shit but now it's rock solid
