Big mistake to allow her to testify: when you have a client who is unlikable, memory challenged, likely to lie. She’s talking herself into a guilty verdict.
I’m sure her lawyers tried hard to keep her off the stand. She is impulsive and dumb (obviously) and thought she could out talk the evidence and also thought she was smarter then the jury.
I thought she provided an indirect confession when she stated “I figured if I could construct them together the way the character had, it would be fine…”… 🙁 🚩
57:41 this part always bothered me, ‘he sells CRAP on the cart’ a rather cold and disrespectful way to speak of your supposedly beloved dead husband’s business.
1:28:45. They way she keeps looking at her lawyers, with a look of satisfaction is increddible! She thinks she has talked her way out of a difficult question and her delight is there for everyone to see.
you make an excellent point. take it a bit further-when you’re on the stand, there’s no communication ALLOWED between the person testifying and anyone else but the judge and questioning attorney. that ninja style communication she’s attempting would never fly with any judge i’ve ever worked with. 🙄 (damn, i’m having an opinion about everything on this video 😂-sorry y’all)
I'm so glad we are taking a break from the royals! At first, I wanted you guys to do all six episodes of The Netflix Documentary. But now I'm just done. My vote is to move on. ❤️ this channel.
After Chase said there was nothing of substance, by the 20th time, I realized he was right. 🤣 I've always had a hard time listening to those in authority!
Calling her an author was generous. Her stuff is horrible, cheesy, smut. Why would she kill literally the only person on the planet who tolerated her sorry as for more than 5 minutes??
The way Chase dissects each video, almost taking a lateral approach to his analysis. The way he spots the smallest, yet telling detail of someone’s body language and words, wow. He paints a picture by numbers and then the big reveal. Sublime! 👌🏻
@@srauenonline Thanks for the tip. Will do. 👌🏻 I like them all, they all have their different style and together, they really are fantastic. Chase really is on the ball, fairdos to him. (They all are)
She reminds me of my mother, especially when she speaks about irony. It's her aggressive locked eyes and no emotion in her face. It scares me. I'm almost 40.
1:46:47 this is the most telling moment to me. I think she’s being completely honest here. ‘When I decided to do this, I tend to be impulsive, and I bought it cuz I wanted it.” But “it” is not the it she was just asked about. ‘It” is the murder of her husband.
That statement was interesting to me. She strongly said that it wasn’t a pop up ad, implying that she went there intentionally. Then she jumbled words there in the middle then ended up saying that it was an impulsive purchase. So which was it? How do you intentionally go through a website to impulsively buy something you don’t need but really wanted? Huh !?!.
@@Lee-wt4wl That WAS weird. The other thing is that she bought it on ebay. I wasn't aware that was allowed. And, ebay should have a record. I need to watch her trial in full, to better understand the backstory.
If yall have not seen Chase's self help work, you're missing out! Watch some of his videos, or read some of his literature on self improvement, OMG he's actually a really good teacher outside of body language.
Love your analyses! You put words/terms to my BS meter 😂 I am amazed at the fact she took the stand and - at the same time - it makes sense that she couldn’t keep quiet.
This trial was happening when the world felt like it was literally ending so it didn't get the coverage it otherwise would have. I'm glad you guys picked it up.
In Scott’s own words. “It’s another good one.” Thank you Fab4. It says a lot when I’d rather watch you analyse a murderer than watch you analyse Harry and Meghan 😂
I really love the interaction among you guys. You rib each other mercilessly, but you also acknowledge each other's insights and applaud when someone really hones in on the heart of a point. It's a big part of what makes your channel so engaging.
It was driving me crazy trying to remember who she looks like until I remembered. Doris Roberts was prettier but was a great actress and good person unlike this piece of work. RIP Doris.
Man, I've heard her testimony and there is something about that phrase, "He sells crap on the cart" - she works so hard to appear like a charming wisecracker, but every once in a while the hostility she clearly felt towards Dan shines forth. This phrase is one of the times.
Finally some one said what I have been thinking. When someone passes, the things they did that you couldn’t stand, become endearing. You’d wish to see them say/do it again. She clearly didn’t care about him.
A disgusting put down, she obviously had no regard for him, she also said the best thing about Dan was he loved me. He was purely useful and she despised him for letting her use him
No one mentioned how she showed no emotion when the lawyer is next to her waving the gun that killed her husband. She never showed any emotion about her husband being killed, dead, murdered horribly at his work….
Great show, guys. And hats off to Greg for his quick lesson on guns. It DID explain a lot to me. Thank you, Greg! P.S. I adore these longer sessions/analyses.
Love Greg's comment about people checking your Google history. I heard that there was a movie made about this case and joked with my husband that I started typing "how to murder your husband" into Google and added "film" at the end of it at the last minute so that it didn't look too suspicious. He's now sleeping with one eye open 🤣
With my Google searches for spelling and exact definitions alone would send an investigator into a coma. Then comes my true crime and current event interests they would have fun.
My ex-husband used to yawn when he was not telling the whole truth. It was definitely a change from his baseline. Do you see yawns in deception very often?
I enjoy all of Scott’s rants when he admits, “I don’t know why I’m getting all worked up over this!!” 😂. I’ve seen every video you all have done, and along with OJ Simpson, this one is my new favorite!
Her lawyers were something else, the way they giggled every time she said something ridiculous and self serving. I had to go back and watch the trial from different camera angles to see how her team reacted to her abysmal performance on the stand and I was shocked. You would think they'd want their client to beat the case, but I guess they figured "ehh, who cares, she's going to prison no matter what we do, so we might as well go out with a bang." (The pun was free of charge.)
@@ImogenC-rt3fm I think you have an extra 'e' in Cletus which is Greek for Illustrious ~ in slang it means hillbilly. Sorry but i don't think it applies

I’ve watched the behavior panel so much that when I fell asleep watching this one, tired not bored, I dreamed that Chase and Mark were sitting in a couch with me in their bathrobes, discussing seriously. I kept interrupting with bad jokes and laughing uncontrollably, they didn’t laugh and kept talking until they put on their slippers and left annoyed. I love the panel ❤️
I just googled the meaning of 'bathrobe' in a dream and this is the first result : *"Tying together the idea of bath as a place where you are honest with yourself or 'come clean,' and clothing which is your identity or the mask you wear for acceptance, to dream of being in a bathrobe can show the steps you are taking in becoming more intimate or self-actualized."* It's all very Bowdeny. 🙄
@@kaymarham5486 I love Bowdeny! The dream interpretation fits with the panel being the place I go to for truth and stripping down the world. I definitely feel like I’ve cared less about social acceptance in the past year since I started watching the panel. Going through life with a silky smooth forehead 😎
Hey all, as a writer it's one thing to come up with a creative outline and make parts and details fit to your story's agenda. She's good at the manipulation of the big story, but like y' all said, she's unable to keep it all straight without the benefit of on the spot editing skill set. She can convolute things all she likes, but without the editing word program at her disposal she's lost in her storytelling. Thanks for the great video and analysis.Another good one!
You guys have me addicted to this case. I've listened to her testimony no less than 10 times, and I catch something new every time.. But what I love about this case is that prosecutor. He executed his job masterfully and he knew how much she loved hearing the sound of her own voice, so he didn't stop her or seem to show many signs whatsoever that she was obviously lying. But instead of confronting her on every lie, he simply asked the right questions to extract information and trusted the jury to be attentive and in discerning enough to form their conclusions based on her own words. His work in that courtroom made me wish I had pursued a career in law but I have a feeling he made it look far easier than it really is.
I'm a bit worried that the police will show up after typing "How To murder your husband" in the search box to pick up where I left off in watching this. 😂😂
Scott, "Chase, you got it. They couldn't commit". Mark, "I'm sorry, Chase. I wasn't finished shopping yet". I nearly spit the water out of my mouth when he gave that crazy line!! You f'ing guys are nutty!!
Scott, so many people say if you give too much description of what happened, it’s a lie. But seriously, I’m a nightmare for doing that, my husband and family laugh at me for ‘going all around the houses, to get to my point’, and I’m not lying, it’s just the way I speak 😂. So how do you then know the difference? I think I just talk too much, but I like detail 😂😂
“If you were my husband, sir, I’d give you a dose of poison!” ; “If I were your husband, I’d take it!” - Winston Churchill. After hearing her speak, I’m certain the husband hired his own hit man.
Did anyone else notice when the prosecutor asks her "so you just randomly drove out...." and she responds "no, I didn't do any of it ra-- wait, let's stop" paraphrasing. I noticed the exchange at the 2:20 minute mark, after the guys already dissected this portion. It sounded like she was literally going to say she didn't do any of it randomly and caught herself so halted the whole line of question and made him repeat it to buy herself some time. It goes right along with Chase's point that by using "random" in that way was to cover up that it was anything but a "random" drive or activity.
George was far more attractive. Her looks are as hideous as her personality. Daniel was too nice of a man to put this piece of trash on the curb where she belonged.
I am very happy you guys have finished with the royals. TBH, imo, it was beneath your expertise. I was getting Jerry Springer flashbacks. Wouldn't have been surprised if one of you didn't burst out yelling, "I'm not the father!"
One thing I noticed that the guys didn’t mention was during the ‘I wasn’t finished shopping’ segment, when she was describing buying additional gun parts, she insinuated that at the time she was fascinated by guns and she gave the impression that she actually liked them. In a previous segment she tried to diminish her involvement with the new Glock, that she was afraid of it and that she picked it up and ‘played with it’ briefly and awkwardly, breaking two fingernails, before stashing it away. Is she afraid of the gun or not, does she like guns or not? This seems to change over the course of the cross examination.

Wow. She’s demented
Dude. This was the wife of one of my teachers I went went to OCI. It was freaking surreal. I saw her at the vigil for Chef Brophy. I knew instantly that she did it. She was not even upset, that woman gave me the creeps.
Just checked out the cool merch. Might I suggest an "according to me." Cracks me up every time. Thanks for the great teachings. I work front line at the criminal courts with mentally ill offenders - in Canada. Rocks my socks!
I love it when Scott says 'Right i'm going first on this one' lol He doesn't do it very often but boy when he does i always know he's got something on his mind All these guys are great!!!!
I prefer he go first because he usually has the big picture while the other 3 like to go into different details or tangents.
You have no idea how often “I wasn’t done shopping” is the appropriate response! I can’t quit saying it!!!!😂😂😂
Big mistake to allow her to testify: when you have a client who is unlikable, memory challenged, likely to lie. She’s talking herself into a guilty verdict.
I’m sure her lawyers tried hard to keep her off the stand. She is impulsive and dumb (obviously) and thought she could out talk the evidence and also thought she was smarter then the jury.
My guess is she insisted on testifying.
Thank you for the break from the Harkles. This case is so much more interesting.
"I believed I didn't kill my husband". That jumped out at me like a mother. Funny.
I thought she provided an indirect confession when she stated “I figured if I could construct them together the way the character had, it would be fine…”… 🙁 🚩
Yes!...............She 'believed' it the way the jury is supposed to 'believe' it after she gives her 'convincing b*llsh*t' story.
“Resting Hartley face”😂😂😂
57:41 this part always bothered me, ‘he sells CRAP on the cart’ a rather cold and disrespectful way to speak of your supposedly beloved dead husband’s business.
That stood out to me as well.
Totally disparaging.
Thought that too - made me wince!
Me too
TOTALLY agree.
That said, can anyone clarify what "the cart" is she referred to? I wasn't sure about that.
My husband comes home and finds another man in nothing but his knickers.
Me: "Babe, I wasn't finished shopping."
I agree. I was interested in the Royals, but now I feel like it’s just devolved into a petty fight
i concur 👍🏼
After Chase said there was nothing of substance, by the 20th time, I realized he was right. 🤣 I've always had a hard time listening to those in authority!
Oh my dear God in Heaven, please move on from “H” and “M.”
Sublime! 👌🏻
I'm a big fan of his " watch for change" vs. memorizing the encyclopedia. Great meta analysis!
@@srauenonline Thanks for the tip. Will do. 👌🏻
I like them all, they all have their different style and together, they really are fantastic. Chase really is on the ball, fairdos to him. (They all are)
@@AledPritchard teamwork makes the dream work !
(Chase here) Thanks so much Aled. So kind of you to say!
I always love when it's Mark's turn. He's the main reason I watch.
I love the references to Doris Roberts (Marie Barone) lol! I saw her and my first thought was "Marie!" 'You finally did it" "You killed Frank" lol
Ditto
Huh !?!.
@@Lee-wt4wl exactly. And that panicked look at her council paired with a total loss of the ability to speak.
You put words/terms to my BS meter 😂
I am amazed at the fact she took the stand and - at the same time - it makes sense that she couldn’t keep quiet.
This trial was happening when the world felt like it was literally ending so it didn't get the coverage it otherwise would have. I'm glad you guys picked it up.
Chase is hilarious." ... I think an 8-year-old woud be able to known that the police might be interested in that gun." 😂
...if they were innocent."
She seems straight up indignant that she has to go through this.
In Scott’s own words. “It’s another good one.” Thank you Fab4. It says a lot when I’d rather watch you analyse a murderer than watch you analyse Harry and Meghan 😂
Same... the Harry Megan stuff is boring. Let them be together and live in America and dislike whoever
I really love the interaction among you guys. You rib each other mercilessly, but you also acknowledge each other's insights and applaud when someone really hones in on the heart of a point. It's a big part of what makes your channel so engaging.
I was shocked to see Ray Ramono's tv Mom on the stand!! She finally did it and killed off Frank!! 😂😂😂
It was driving me crazy trying to remember who she looks like until I remembered. Doris Roberts was prettier but was a great actress and good person unlike this piece of work. RIP Doris.
Yes, I got the Fleetwood Mac joke -" tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies."
OH! I didn't - now I do. lol
I love these long episodes. Thanks for the time and effort you put into this for us.
It's a very telling comment isn't it - someone who she "loved dearly" "sells crap off the cart"
‘Resting Hartley Face’ 😆😁 it took me a second to get it 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you for giving us a break from the whinger, I'm so sick of him that I'm actually looking forward to spending time with a murderess!!
Yep! It's the body craving oxygen.
You would think they'd want their client to beat the case, but I guess they figured "ehh, who cares, she's going to prison no matter what we do, so we might as well go out with a bang."
(The pun was free of charge.)
Ahh the banter was everything after the "I wasn't finished shopping" line.
It's hard to believe any man could put up with her for a day let alone 23 years.
That’s so true
I heard 25 and 26 years from the news.
I love when you guys have an inside joke, and laugh together about it. Makes me smile every time.
love how Scott keeps the f-ups in the video!
Seeing an Old lady lie like this knowing she murdered her husband is very disturbing
I see you Cleetus.
@@ImogenC-rt3fm I think you have an extra 'e' in Cletus which is Greek for Illustrious ~ in slang it means hillbilly. Sorry but i don't think it applies
"I wasn't finished shopping." YES PLEASE!
I love it, extra educational! *I pleadingly request for a Part II to this, as Chase said at **2:32:12** **_YOU DIDN'T EVEN COVER HER AMNESIA_** in this episode...* Thank you for all the hard work the four of you do!!!!!
I just googled the meaning of 'bathrobe' in a dream and this is the first result :
*"Tying together the idea of bath as a place where you are honest with yourself or 'come clean,' and clothing which is your identity or the mask you wear for acceptance, to dream of being in a bathrobe can show the steps you are taking in becoming more intimate or self-actualized."*
It's all very Bowdeny. 🙄
😆Brilliant!!!
@@kaymarham5486 I love Bowdeny! The dream interpretation fits with the panel being the place I go to for truth and stripping down the world. I definitely feel like I’ve cared less about social acceptance in the past year since I started watching the panel. Going through life with a silky smooth forehead 😎
I want a “I wasn’t finished shopping” shirt!!! 😂
Lmbo 😆🤣😂
He was so good in this trial, he knew when to let her keep talking. I've watched her testimony a few times too and it's still so interesting to me.
She really blew it when she said when she said "could I put back together a gun that wouldn't backfire on me and kill me,"
I'm a bit worried that the police will show up after typing "How To murder your husband" in the search box to pick up where I left off in watching this. 😂😂
Why her attorneys ever let her testify is beyond me! Total trainwreck.
They secretly wanted her to go to jail probably cause they were tired of her stories lol
I think they would say that's your baseline:) For her, it's probably not!
“If you were my husband, sir, I’d give you a dose of poison!” ; “If I were your husband, I’d take it!” - Winston Churchill. After hearing her speak, I’m certain the husband hired his own hit man.
😂
LMAO
You guys are great! I'm learning a lot from y'all. It always makes my day when y'all get cracked up by each other! 😄
Nancy looks like George Washington
She has a caveat about that. 😆
😅
@@CatalinaFOIAif you know, you know ! 😅
George was far more attractive. Her looks are as hideous as her personality. Daniel was too nice of a man to put this piece of trash on the curb where she belonged.
I Live for these videos, you all speak my language. Huge respect and Love to all 4 of youuu!!!
I am very happy you guys have finished with the royals. TBH, imo, it was beneath your expertise. I was getting Jerry Springer flashbacks. Wouldn't have been surprised if one of you didn't burst out yelling, "I'm not the father!"
Learned something new today: "swingin' haymakers" Thanks Scott Rouse
One thing I noticed that the guys didn’t mention was during the ‘I wasn’t finished shopping’ segment, when she was describing buying additional gun parts, she insinuated that at the time she was fascinated by guns and she gave the impression that she actually liked them. In a previous segment she tried to diminish her involvement with the new Glock, that she was afraid of it and that she picked it up and ‘played with it’ briefly and awkwardly, breaking two fingernails, before stashing it away.
Is she afraid of the gun or not, does she like guns or not?
This seems to change over the course of the cross examination.
