@@Angelvmr17 When i saw it struck me as really cool because it sorta has the vibes of all the various different "construction" vehicles of the era all mixed together which i thought was impressive.
I love how whacky some of the vehicles are like Warthog being a mix of his standard and Black appearances and Mr. Slam being this abomination of a construction vehicle. Also, Darkside looks frigging amazing here. If this gets a public test build, I will be maining the heck out of him. Here's hoping other fan favorite vehicles show up as well later on.

@@Angelvmr17 Looking forward to the next update. Also, the vehicles here seem a little too light in the video. They turn a little too fast, especially bigger vehicles like Hammerhead. Guys like Mr. Grimm, Roadkill, and Crimson Fury turning on a dime can work, but the bigger vehicles having a similar turning speed just feels very off, like they don't have any weight to them. Hopefully that can be changed later on.
This is really impressive, super excited to get to play this, there haven't been nearly enough TM fan projects, especially quality one. A few things I noticed: - Hammerhead's tire smoke isnt aligned together (the left one seems offset a little) - Im wondering if youre gonna have trouble with machines guns on some vehicles. Some are high and might not hit smaller vehicles (i had the same issue with Mischief Motors) Keep up the good work :)

Easy fix for those. For the machine guns. I know exactly what you mean. I have a fix for it which is increasing the size of its collider... which i already did.... exept i havent made the bigger cars shoot that specific bullet. I keep forgetting to chang ethat. You could increase the hit box depth variable, instead of increasing the hit box size, take it to 80% if you increase the hit box size too much can you may fire at someone on top of a bridge it will hit the car underneath inside the tunnel

What I'd love to see is; -a little lean when turning, but keep the same dynamics of the turn -i saw the damaged model of thumper, and hammerhead not sure if every character has that yet, but definitely on the right track! - love the cracked walls indicating it can be destroyed -a little bit more hop from an attack, enemy and player character alike. - definitely a mandatory rooftop level - add a demented bonus, where running over 10 pedestrians gives you full health. Or secret heal spots (like in 1,2 and black) - pickups inside some civilian vehicles - soundtrack? So far, is great! - would love to see you play using darkside. Will they have the ram attack or OG attack from TM1? - if you can't get Mel to voice endings, id be happy to. Same with some character bios, would love to work with you on that. - teleporters? The vehicles look so creative, the stages are awesome too, apparently you went for the PS1 aesthetic. Cool cool. The weapons are also polished. God, this looks phenomenal. @@NinjaXFiles thanks man. Did all this by myself for the TM comunity. Coding was done with chatgpt since i know nothing about coding. This game is almost ready. I have tweaked quite a bit since this video. All i have left is to finish up 4 more character endings and it is practically done. I want to release it first And later on add more characters. I still want to add some original characters along with Twister primeval auger . And of course some of those scrapped vehicles too. Specially Predator from a scapped concept in the sweet tour. In fact the LA level i have here is loosely base on the sketch found in the sweet tour. And maybe even the TV series version. Keep an eye out man. I thinknill be done with this by mid november

Where if a homing hits the enemy it will display 10PTS no matter how many homings hits. Is it better that way or should i make it add up. For eexample if a homing hits once it will say 10pts if it hitsagain it will say 20pts then 30 pts and so on... I have that feature for specific missiles like the swarm and thumpers flames.
Yo, this is hella dope, I can see all the effort you've put in it, and I commend you for it, but I want to voice my concern: while I understand you've made this out of your love of the series, I'd say you'd be better with changing things up and replace everything related to Twisted Metal with like original creations. I'm not sure ATM who owns Twisted Metal and if they're cool with fangames or not, but I've seen too many fan projects get DMCA'd/sued to be optimistic. And hey, if you then wanted, you could make a profit with your game if you use your original ideas, up to you.

I have a few ideas of what ill be doing. Along with a whole new project im working on with someone. Ive done some research, still looking for details and facts but from what i read Sony is a bit more open about fan games, depending on various things. I read about someone asking sony directly for permision to make a ratchet and clank game and sony said that it was up to insomniac . Not sure what happened after that. I wil how ever have a special thanks section dedicated to the fans and sony as well. This might be wishfull yhinking on my part but ya know, id be cool if sony sees this and finally open its eyes and realize its missin out on a great franshise.

Battlegrounds look great so far, but i have the feeling there's no battleground with instant death by falling into the abyss, at least in the selection screen none gave me that feeling, seeing a reworked version of New York and Antarctica from TM2 would be chef's kiss

@@Angelvmr17 the next best thing would be a rooftop level with safety barriers like Tokyo Rooftops in TM Head On, it's not the same, but the vibes of being in a rooftop high above the city are kind of there, at least aesthetically
After playing the demo I think that the game controls great but it can get a little glitchy. I also think that the weapons need to have a little pushback when they hit the opponent like in TM2 to make it feel more powerful. One last thing the missiles are a little finicky and explode to quickly other than that I had a lot of fun with this game so keep up the good work

And some some bacgrounds and images are enhanced with AI but mainly done by me. Basicly i make a very detailed texture or image in photoshop and then on and AI app i enhance the image i made. maybe what is lacking is more details in general, but i feel that the most important detail to add is damage feedback, so you can know not only what or when it hit you, but how strong it was, something like screen effects, sound effects and knockback on your vehicle so it feels like it gor shot by something
@@jefedejefes1641 details graphically? There is a damage feedback., the flashes red when hit. I recently added it as a suggestion from another comment. Maybe hammerhead is not the best to illustrate it since he is already red. Haha Hmm i see about adjusting the push back on the hits aswell.

@@Angelvmr17 My suggestion on minions design would be to use the twisted metal two design but give it a variation of the decal that twisted metal 4 minion had where it had some demonic textures on it.

Additionally, the fonts used throughout the game should be updated to something more fitting for the game’s aesthetic; the current plain fonts feel out of place. A cool idea for expanding your map design could be to draw inspiration from iconic levels in classic games, such as de_dust2 from Counter-Strike, the farm map from Vigilante 8, or even a mini version of the first track from Daytona USA. Adding familiar retro elements like these could engage nostalgic players and make them more likely to connect with and enjoy the game. The car models look great with that PS1-style chibi, super-deformed aesthetic. However, the HUD could use some refinement beyond just updating the fonts. For instance, life bars could be displayed as segmented lines rather than a solid neon-green bar, which currently feels a bit too much like a basic paint effect. Battlegrounds look great so far, but i have the feeling there's no battleground with instant death by falling into the abyss, at least in the selection screen none gave me that feeling, seeing a reworked version of New York and Antarctica from TM2 would be chef's kiss

@@Angelvmr17 the next best thing would be a rooftop level with safety barriers like Tokyo Rooftops in TM Head On, it's not the same, but the vibes of being in a rooftop high above the city are kind of there, at least aesthetically

After playing the demo I think that the game controls great but it can get a little glitchy. I also think that the weapons need to have a little pushback when they hit the opponent like in TM2 to make it feel more powerful. One last thing the missiles are a little finicky and explode to quickly other than that I had a lot of fun with this game so keep up the good work

And some some bacgrounds and images are enhanced with AI but mainly done by me. Basicly i make a very detailed texture or image in photoshop and then on and AI app i enhance the image i made. I love the design of the cars and the gameplay looks fun! have you thought about adding more vehicles from the Twisted Metal roster? Like Shadow, Twister, Firestarter, Yellow Jacket, 12-Pak, etc?
@@thefirkman7400 oh heck yes. The roster is not done yet. But i will be adding more cars most of it is done. I have shadow and twiated and even primeeval already modeled. And thinking about yellow jackets design.
maybe what is lacking is more details in general, but i feel that the most important detail to add is damage feedback, so you can know not only what or when it hit you, but how strong it was, something like screen effects, sound effects and knockback on your vehicle so it feels like it gor shot by something

There is a damage feedback., the flashes red when hit. I recently added it as a suggestion from another comment. Maybe hammerhead is not the best to illustrate it since he is already red. Haha

@@Angelvmr17 My suggestion on minions design would be to use the twisted metal two design but give it a variation of the decal that twisted metal 4 minion had where it had some demonic textures on it.
The project looks impressive, especially considering it's a solo effort. However, there are a few areas that could benefit from enhancement. First, I suggest improving the particle effects overall, particularly by replacing the explosion sprites with more polished, refined visuals. Adding better missile trail effects when firing would also enhance the gameplay experience.
The maps, while functional, appear somewhat bland. Incorporating shadows would make a big difference, as currently, they seem overly bright without any sun projection or depth. Additionally, the fonts used throughout the game should be updated to something more fitting for the game’s aesthetic; the current plain fonts feel out of place.
A cool idea for expanding your map design could be to draw inspiration from iconic levels in classic games, such as de_dust2 from Counter-Strike, the farm map from Vigilante 8, or even a mini version of the first track from Daytona USA. Adding familiar retro elements like these could engage nostalgic players and make them more likely to connect with and enjoy the game.
The car models look great with that PS1-style chibi, super-deformed aesthetic. However, the HUD could use some refinement beyond just updating the fonts. For instance, life bars could be displayed as segmented lines rather than a solid neon-green bar, which currently feels a bit too much like a basic paint effect. The weapon icons also seem disproportionately large-they could be scaled down to better fit the screen and avoid overwhelming the display.
As a small cosmetic improvement, you could make the vehicle selection screen more visually engaging by adding flames or other dynamic elements in the background while the cars rotate. This would add some depth and excitement to the otherwise static scene. There’s also a lot of empty space on the left side of the screen under the player’s name. It might be a good idea to include a character sprite there, similar to fighting games where a large avatar appears next to the character icon upon selection.
Overall, the game provides a solid framework to build upon, and with these tweaks, it could become even more polished and engaging.
