1976 Fender Jazz. Stolen, found in horrible shape, can I rebuild it? Part 1 of 3

In 2018, my long time friend and fantastic bass player, had his 1976 Fender Jazz stolen from the back of his Jeep. It took years, but it finally resurfaced in a used add here in our town. The bass was defaced, and stripped of all its parts. It was in horrible shape! But I told Tom when the bass was found, if it needed any work, I would fix it and get it back up and running for him. I don't go back on my promises! This is the story of Tom's stolen 1976 Fender Jazz and how I put it back together and gave it back to him, just days before Christmas 2023.
