Thank you for your honest review about the M11 Plus LTD. I really like the products made by FIIO, they are fantastic products with a high level of quality. I bought one last week and I'm just waiting for it to be delivered ASAP.
Totally agree with you, been using my Fiio M11PRO for 2 years now, never tempted to buy another DAP.

I just bought this one, haven't received it yet. I can't wait after seeing the reviews online & YT reviews. Great review & detailed! Oh, subbed by the way. I plan on using my Bowers & Wilkins PX5 and investing in a decent IEM at some point.
I just bought one yesterday. Folks, the sound is amazing with the inky black silence between tracks. I find the side swipe volume control a bit of a nuisance as it is accidentally activated whilst handling the device so I’ve opted to turn it off. I just click it on the top or bottom of the switch to raise or lower the volume. I like streaming it to a wifi smart speaker. It’s definitely a great unit all around.

Great review - thank you! Mine arrived earlier this week and, yes, it is spectacular. Way better in form, function and sound than I could have hoped for. Paired with my CA Holocene's the sound is warm, rich, luscious and full of detail. Coming from a Sony 507, there is simply no comparison and they are almost the same price. A superb DAP. All i do when I am home now is listen to music :-)

Good review, man. I've got the M6, M11, M11PRO and the Ibasso DX300. But you're absolutely right and brought up a good point about getting iems (the transducers in your ear) instead. There are other options like dongle (which I don't have any experience with,) the Qudelix, BTR-5 or the Q5s for those who want to just stick with the use of their phone.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Yeah, I would say save up an invest in a good source, before then just use dongles.

@@franksam8610 I've really been enjoying the DX300 man. Will be switching out the amp11 for the amp12 soon. Before getting the DX300, my go-to was the M11. It has an extra micro-sd slot and imo has more power than the M11PRO, although the Pro has less background noise which in turn great for sensitive iems. The M6 is my at-the-gym beater. Hope this helps.

Has anyone tried the M17? I picked one up a little while ago and it smokes most desktop DAC’s simply amazing. This M11 would probably be considered it’s little brother.

How is it in terms of build quality? I'm honestly thinking of getting the M11 Plus but I've heard some drawbacks in terms of build quality. Can't make up my mind between the M11 Plus ESS, M6 Pro 21 and R5 Gen2.
Does it support Apple music at full resolution without resampling and bypassing SRC? Some reddit articles said that it can only install apple music but cannot login in to the AM account. Please help me with this one.
Hi Tim, big fan of your work, and would appreciate your input on my query as follows: using Ie 600 iem / iPad/ Apple music/ dragonfly red and sound quality is good- but what if I get the m11 s, how much percentage increase (10? 20?) in sound quality would I get to enjoy?

Quick question : I use normal fiio m11 and it doesn't have gapless playback even I do turn on the gapless it still have 0.5 second gap between song... does M11 plus fix this already ?
yup, when i sold my dx120 (witch is sound super for $300) i just jumped to n6ii for as far as i can reach with my budged, although $800 tier is tempting and i'm never regret it.

can i download hi-res songs from apple music on the sd card and play them offline without downgrading to lower resolution? your answer would help me decide whether to buy this or not. I only listen to apple music and dont have any other music files. thanks.

I have the regular M11 I have no desire to ever change it anytime soon does everything that I want and can power my planes just fine. Maybe when I'm tired of the regular M11 years down the road I'll just get a newer model. I did enjoy the video though :).

You said this DAP can be used in a computer but how about a car, can I plug this to my car and have a better sound coming of my car's system?
It would be interesting to hear your opinion on the new TempoTec V6. Tempotec uses new upgraded AKM AK4493SEQ chips. They differ from those that were "before the fire" in circuitry and topology. I've read and watched reviews and some reviewers say it sounds better than the 11 line Fiio players. Incredibly!

I came very close to buying the Tempotec but found a really good price on the M11 plus ESS. My only concern with the Tempotec is the reviews themselves have sort of a "paid advertising" feel to them. I could be wrong and hope that I am but several of them just did not sit right with me.

Can't afford this, but definitely looking at the m11 pro. Would you consider the sound signature in the same league as the plus?
Currently using fiio BTR 5, 2.5, phone transport.
I've not tried the Pro, I only speak for the Plus and I love the Plus version. BTR 5 is very good already!

I also have the Dunu SA-6 and this DAP. I run my IEM's balanced and I can't imagine this getting much better. Great combo.
Great review! However I thought your comparison to the schiit stack was not relative as the schiit stack is almost half the cost. Keep them coming 👍👍
Both are very analytical, I would say they are near equal to my ears with M11 Plus being slightly more detailed, but just slightly.
Hi Timmy, you have the M3x and the M11 plus, I have tried M11 plus but didnt sound much differentto M3x. A question if you can help, what level of IEM do I need before the differences become really noticeable? Thank you and keep up the great work!

Hi, I have a question, please. I have a Fiio X3 1 gen. and still plays great. When I get an M11 plus, do I know the difference for the better in sound? Will I be satisfied? :-D Thank you for the advice Vlado /I also have a question about X5 III, whether this model would be a step forward instead of X3 I, whether it would be audible wider space, higher instrument resolution, more pronounced middle frequencies, etc ../
I've not tried the FiiO X3 so I sadly cannot answer that. All I can say is M11 Plus works well for even my flagship IEMs :)

Can I ask a question? Please. I need to verify if this is a feature of the device or the android.
I hear brief crackles, banging at the beginning of videos on youtube, as if the system always switched - and now I'm going to play. Sometimes the cracks are very faint, other times more audible. Sometimes none. In player mode outside of UA-cam is, it seems silent. And I think switching to DSD will improve it all. I really don't know if it's normal, I need to check it, please, if I don't have a defective piece. Yeah, I'm ready to record this as samples and share. Let me remind you that sometimes there are slight cracks during the video. Thanks for the advice, for the test. I will also try the device on another Wifi network .. Vlado

It's big and a bit heavy but nothing too annoying. It sounds great with any IEMs honestly since it's rather clean

Can M11 Plus output hi-res audio (24/192) natively with apps such as Apple Music or Tidal (i.e. without apps such as UAPP)?
I am asking because M11 Plus is an Android device and usually Android is limited to 16/48 kHz output.

hello... I have a question. upon receiving my m11 plus(ESS version) and playin music on it...Im comparing the youtube music app in high quality audio vs the flac files loaded into the M11 plus in the Fiio app player. I dont know if Im crazy but while playing same song, same album...I feel the youtube music version sound a bit fuller, more weight.. while the Flac file sound about only 2% cleaner. No EQ applied on any of the apps. I wonder if this an EQ thing or what? I would think that a flac file would sound noticeably better than a youtube music stream. If this is the case there is no point for me to purchase and download music. Also there is a chance for me to get the M11 plus LTD ( AKM version) I tend to listen to pop music most of the time, I wonder if I should get the limited version instead of the ESS. What do you think would be the best option for my type of listening?

FiiO M11 Plus LTD vs Sony NW-ZX507?
I have three different Dap, My R3 Pro saber is about 98% sound signature of my M6 Pro. But there are differences in the sound ever so slight. so when you pair an IEM you may or may not get a synergy with that dap. each dap has its own tuning so there are differences ever so slight.

I think you should keep on eye to the HiBy R6 2020 which is the spec is quite better and it has a few interesting features that others DAP didn't have.
Having such a hard time finding a M11 Plus LTD anywhere nowadays.

I had the M11 Plus ESS, for me definitely one of the worst sounding DAPs of Fiio so far..complete unnatural and constrained sound signature, no musicality at all..sold mine after 2 weeks..even the X5 III is way better sounding..

I am extremely new to daps. I am old school and heavily use my zune 120. Aside from sound, how far have mp3 players come? Can I upload+download and save my music to keep? If all it does is stream music thru Spotify then why not just use your phone?

Fiio m11ltd (AK4497EQ) VS FiioM15 (AK4499EQ) Listened to both today for 6 hours.. Even with THX helping the M11 in this gunfight, the M15 just hits the 'feels'.
Just the way it was intended by Fiio to begin with. Not a surprise, but a simply a confirmation. I love my M15 in terms of sounds and battery life, but I must say I would love to have Android 10.
@@mariusarhire7463 No. Its not 'intended' to be so obvious. This is FIIO we are talking about after all. THX should have made the m11ltd the obvious winner. But the AK4499EQ has an 'Ace' up its sleeve. And you can actually HEAR IT! The big problem is that the AK chipset is in shortage now. And I am not a fan of the cheaper ESS dacs. Android isnt the reason I purchased this music player. I keep it in 'music mode' - It does the job flawlessly!

No one needs to really lol. I'm 100% sure there are comparable ones at lower prices, I just haven't tried them yet.
Music is very subjective its hard to tell people this is the only dap you need. Since my vsonic gr7 era l never want to hear anything analytical. That earphones made me so depressed because it was boring to me. I even tried to listen to dance music but the thing just could not translate dance music. For me a musical dap with detail and a musical earphones with detail is the only way. Very Happy with shanling House sound and m3x, looking forward to m6 pro 21 due to more power for better dynamics really. Thanks.
Yeah, like I mentioned at the beginning of the video I've only owned two DAPs and for my use I'm quite happy. I can see some people wanting less clinical sound too.

I was sort of the early bird buyer of FiiO M11 plus ltd.. The DAP sounds analytical at first. But it becomes more forgiving without sacrificing to neutral tonal balance.
I pair the Fiio with Final A8000 and they have the synergy there

Best sounding DAP may be for you. Not everybody will like cold, analytical sound with lot of micro details instead of macro details. I have Hidizs S9 Pro Dac/Amp. That is also cold, analytical, thin sounding with not enough body in the sound, bright highs, no bass unless using an eq. I dislike that kind of sound

This is the worst product I have ever bought in my life. Every time when I open an application and start a song it has some loud popping electric noise. This is garbage. The thing is though even when the volume is zero it makes this nerve-racking noise.
