I think it’s not possible for everyone, with school and office deadlines. Can say from experience of my many relatives. Green card has nothing to do with this, you can still visit India. Time just flies away. My mama hasn’t visited us for 8 years, we still call each other often. But it’s just work work and even if you want to spend money and if you don’t get that amount of time with family here, it feels worthless. Also you have your friends family there now. So have those obligations.

I know my cousins are always busy, even when they finish their school they have vacation planned out for their extra curricular. And my aunt is busy managing their schedule. I also have a cousin in NYC who is neurosurgeon, but she doesn’t have immediate family here, her grandparents died long ago.
