I'm kinda faithful that both games will be getting remastered at some point especially if Medieval 2 remastered is going to do well! Also, a mobile port would be a good way to test the waters, and due to their 2D style it doesn't seem to hard to adapt onto mobile. Also, less and less people are able to play Shogun and Medieval 1 on Steam due to compatibility issues with modern systems. That kind of problem will be increasingly prominent in the years to come to due to outdated technology, and so it could really increase the demand for such remasters. In my view, remasters of both are kinda likely to happen at some point, especially as a good way to get a crash grab exploiting fans nostalgia allowing them to play their favorite modernized game. Same thing that happened with Rome 1. Nostalgia sells well and Shogun and Medieval 1 are legendary games that can't be forgotten. CA expressed their interest to revisit even the whole catalogue if demand allows for it. Once Medieval 2 will be remastered the two most beloved games will be done with both remasters and mobile ports. That being said, that will be the turn for Shogun 1 and Medieval 1, or maybe postponed by Empire and Napoleon. But they will definitely do those at some point IMO. Its a matter of time. What do you think guys?
As someone of Scottish and Danish descent im always a sucker for Viking Age expansions and mods. Can never decide between playing as Scots or Vikings in them though. No Strathclyde in this mod though.
Been checking this mod out as it somehow flew under my radar for the OG Rome (I think I was too addicted to EB, IB and RS) and have been really enjoying it. That said it feels really challenging. Been having a tough time as Wessex and one of the Irish factions.
Awesome mod! And for the unit models, personally I couldn't care less for the new models they introduced in the remaster. I always prefered the simplistic unit models, so this is awesome to see. Heck I was even crazy enough to mod back in the original models from OG rome into remastered, one thing I give it credit for is the modding made easy and the superb performance.
I don't dislike the remaster models. The textures aren't my cup of tea though. The original vanilla ones werent my cup of tea either... Luckily easily changeable.
I will have to check why I only have the early campaign option on my Steam account. I did see all the unit and unit info files for the later factions. Thanks much!@@GudeaTW
I remember playing it in the original rome. I had issues with crashes that made me lose interest. But hopefully the port is more stable than the original
It is one of the hardest mods, especially if you play with irish factions or Northumbria and East Anglia. It is the TW mod, in which the population management is one of the most important thing you will need to handle if you want to thrive. Also it is one of the most immersive I've played. It is so nicely designed, minimalistic, but also detailed in a way.
What do you think of Viking Invasion II? What do you think of these classic mods being ported to Rome Remastered?
Glad you're doing mod reviews again. You need to check out the Fall of Constantinople campaign for Tsardoms.
It's on my list!
Medieval Total War and Viking Invasion have possibly the most immersive soundtracks. Rome 1 comes a close second.
They are on top of my total war soundtrack tier list
Fantastic mod!
Now modders can add a few more factions in certain regions, for example in Ireland and northern Britain
Yup definitely doable!
I'd still like to see Shogun 1 and medieval 1 total war get age of empires-esque remasters.
Absolutely....

I do think the port maker is going to add some more factions
@@GudeaTW cool.
If it wasn’t for the fact I stumbled into your channel I would’ve never found any of these mods I’ve spent hours on
That's my goal!

Yes it is an older one so a lot of people missed it
My favourite game channel 🎉
Thank you!
Love it. You going to cover Norman Invasion. I tried it on steam but the port doesn't work for it and it crashed.
Hmm when did it crash? I'll see if it works for me

I prefer the Last Kingdom mod. Crashes a lot, but I love the series and show, so it has that to buck it up in my personal preference :p.
This one is quite stable
How are you progressing on your mod of Chivalry? Any word on when the other era campaigns will be playable?
They have been out for a long time, very playable

The big map only has early atm
THAT explains! I am playing on the big map. Thanks much!@@GudeaTW
Let me know what you think of the other eras!

It should be, rr catches errors
Sounds cool
quite cool
When will the update to Europa Barbarorum 2 come out? 🎈😭
Not sure:(
Modders just keep spoiling us 😁😁
Indeed
makes me wonder if this one is also gonna be extremely hard
I might do a playthrough
Nah, it's not hard

Arthurian total war raven feeders would be a great mod to re master

When I start a campaign, all the units, card models are peasants, not the real ones. Am I doing something wrong, or it is not finished?
Change to realistic unit cards in settings (or the opposite)
@@GudeaTW THanks, mate!
@@GudeaTW I have the same issue. I cant find where to fix this, can u help me ?
