Nice to see you back! I don't know why they didn't go slightly more east. Elymais was an key enemy of the Mesopotamians at the time. Could have been more dynamic, now the focus of the campaign is still around the Aegean.
Glad to see you posting this? I have to say when the reveal was dropped I felt quite excited and vindicated, I frankly never expected to get this map but now it's basically perfect. I have a few small quibbles with it, but for the most part it's now looking really good.
Welcome back. Missed your videos man. Rise of Persia submod just got released on Steam if you wasn't aware. Haven't tried it yet, but it sounds promising.
Nice to see you a gain Gudea, not just me but my girlfriend missed you (and your voice) so much! She was asking me so often where is "Mr. Hello Everyone" and "when he will return back, did he put up a new video already?"
hi gudea new fan of channel, video suggestion on the rise of persia mod for remastered. and question for what is in ur opinion the most histroicaly accurate total war mod for remastered ( i know its EB my fav) but would like to hear from u opinion
hi gudea, i have a few off topic questions, one is there a way to get rome total war one on mac and also how to get, and then getting the eb mod, im currently playing eb on rtw remastered absolutely love it.
Side by side with the map extension, the most (potentially) interesting new feature is a dynastic mode. I imagine it as a more traditional approach to the game, while keeping the current characters mode at the same time, for whom appreciate that part of Pharaoh. Similar to what there is in 3K (romance and chronicals) and Troy.
But there are no playable naval battles. You are correct, I should have been more clear there. I still don't quite get the mechanic yet, but I'm interested to see it in action.
I'm so glad you said what many people refuse to believe, that 'Pharaoh' needs naval battles, even if they're "simplistic" like in S2 vanilla. And I hope (even if we don't get map editor tools) that 'Pharaoh' gets the modding tools that R2 and Attila have to make a plethora of different time era mods like Sargon, the old Babylonian Empire, Neo-Assyria, etc. Although I feel like if CA made any official campaign DLC, it shouldn't go further than that because the inclusion on the Median Empire would require all of Persia which would expand the map quite a lot and I don't think they'll do that. (if we do get map tools, imagine mods set during the Indus civ or Shang dynasty, or a map of near-solely Sumeria set at the beginning of civilization circa ~3500BC 😁)
Hi, Gudea! I am really excited for the Pharoah Total War update! Maybe I can be inspired from it for my Bronze Age Mod for Rome Remastered. I also sent you a message. -Atreus :)
There he is, still alive While Pharaoh getting additional content is cool, my excitement has already died, and there are alternatives to get the bronze age on monitor. And while the map is big, still going to feel like warhammer, which I personally don't enjoy. I guess it's hard to re-hype something that's already splashed in the toilet. Also, love the answer there. Water problem in total war, "the solution would be.. navies"
currently the sea peoples are only dangerous to half of the factions, suppiluma, amenmesse, tausret, irsu and seti can sit it out, only repelling minor invasions and taking control of the weakened factions on the coast
man this should have been a thing from the getgo, i hate companies making a game and then giving it to us bit by bit for an exorbitant amount of money wtf
Indeed, at least in this case the price was reduced (and refunds given for the difference for those who had already made purchases) and all the dlc made free. But again, this should have been in the base game
Christ, why not just add navies to the game instead of 'fast travel' over the sea? You don't even have to implement naval battles (although they could if they wanted to - isn't this still the same engine as Rome II?). Navies could just act purely as a means of transport as they did in Medieval, Rome, Medieval II, etc. So stupid.
This isn't game about Greece, this is about Egypt and Mesopotamia. Greece is there just to have more cultures and factions. Otherwise the game would be pretty empty. I wish they add Iran and Caucasus at some point.
@Milos596 Rome total war is not about Greece it's about Rome and it's conquest of gaul. the rest of the factions are there so the game would not feel empty
What do you think of this latest update? I'm still holding out for Medieval 1 HD with updated battle map controls.
iam hyped
I am extremely hyped, but i wanted more provinces in Libu, Hellas, and Western Anatolia.
But I also wanted a Urartu expansion
Good News After All? Maybe?
I would LOVE a M1 remaster. Any thoughts on making a video comparing Medieval 1 to Medieval 2?
I've made some that are tangentially about that, but I should revisit the topic
Nice to see you again Gudea
Will try hard to make more time for videos!
Love to see you back and I am glad that pharaoh is getting new factions
What I would really like to see is fleshed out era campaigns, this for me is what the base game should have been from the start.
@@GudeaTW
Yes they should have these from start but hopefully they will try make this game some what a decent Bronze Age game
Nice to see you back! I don't know why they didn't go slightly more east. Elymais was an key enemy of the Mesopotamians at the time. Could have been more dynamic, now the focus of the campaign is still around the Aegean.
Yes they did the bare minimum for Elam... but at least it's included!
Glad to see you posting this? I have to say when the reveal was dropped I felt quite excited and vindicated, I frankly never expected to get this map but now it's basically perfect. I have a few small quibbles with it, but for the most part it's now looking really good.
Yes it's not perfect but it is what the base game should have been

he has just made a video on Rise a Persia!

xD nice, sorry for the wait
Haha its okay, just so glad you are finally back!
I've missed you Gudea! Always worth the wait your content is always excellent.
Thank you appreciate it!
Glad your back! Excellent video
Thank you!
I want an Adventures of Gilgamesh and Enkidu dlc campaign
Now that would be creative...
That’s what if needed

Total War: PHARAOH - Dev Update - New Cultures and Factions 25 new factions

hi gudea, i have a few off topic questions, one is there a way to get rome total war one on mac and also how to get, and then getting the eb mod, im currently playing eb on rtw remastered absolutely love it.
Any great books on the history of the ancient near east that you would recommend?
Sure, I would say Beaulieu's A History of Babylon published by Blackwell in 2018 is an excellent place to start!
150 new units too
nice
Matches the player count lol

Yes the dynastic mode... I will definitely play it in that mode
Hello Gudea
They have announced the new playable factions, 29.
kinda sus this dropped around the same time the Crusader Kings 3 Bronze Age mod got remade
Oh it did? Didn't know.
@@GudeaTW yes, on the 25th of April and it has 14k subscribers on the workshop as of now.
the steam workshop? I have the game through game pass only, but I guess I can still get my hands on the mod
Hey just a fyi, armies can move on water. They become navies. The sea travel lanes only boost the speed you travel at, I assume.
But there are no playable naval battles. You are correct, I should have been more clear there. I still don't quite get the mechanic yet, but I'm interested to see it in action.
@GudeaTW it moves faster while traveling there or just a teleport button your army will arrive here in 3 days. meh.
we get
Assyria Babylon Mycia and troy
168 settlements
see lanes
Dynasty and family mechanics
mortality
new legacys
reworked mechanics
A good list

Hi I saw the message, just haven't been active on Discord for awhile! I'll get back on soon.
Also, custom map of Babylon confirmed!!!😮
Very excited to see that!

this update is free
Yes it is a bad trend, but at least they are making this available for free
The Seuss update
Meanwhile I am still waiting for CA to finally FIX Attila's performance.
You might have to wait for a bit...
the time has come to go to the promised land of egypt.
Mesopotamia
Good step forward, but the map still seems kinda small…
Sure, they could have expanded more in the north and east
343 steetelmens
I think they should’ve updated Thrones of Britannia instead of Pharaoh.
Thrones of Britannia is pretty complete, I'd say it needs era campaigns, like Pharaoh
@GudeaTW it needs an engine update.....
well every game since... empire has needed an engine update xD
i really want a bronze age total war. i just don't think this is it
I think bronze age is a bit too limiting - should have era campaigns
@GudeaTWit's really not you can have civilisations spanning all the way from Scandinavia to spain to persia. the bronze age proto proto Vikings haha.
The problem is the culture of making us pay more for less and acting like reintroducing past content is doing us a favour.
Indeed, at least in this case the price was reduced (and refunds given for the difference for those who had already made purchases) and all the dlc made free. But again, this should have been in the base game

They missed Italy. Italy - southern Italy - was a major part of the Greek world even at this point in time.

I dont like the game at all, instead of doing a proper bronze age in their beginning, they just make this one in the final moments of the bronze age
I agree, I also wanted era campaigns (sargon, hammurabi, neo assyrians etc
Unfortunately I just don't really care about Pharaoh.
Too little too late imho, not to mention the issues that modern TW already has.
