  • As #COP27 launches in Egypt today, we feature stories of how the #ClimateCrisis affects the people at the frontlines of climate change impacts.
The Philippines is among the most vulnerable countries to climate change, Super typhoons and frequent floods affect millions of Filipinos each year. Ramon, a resident of Marikina, recalls how strong rains during #Ulysses in 2020 flooded not just homes but a hospital with COVID-19 patients.
This series of short videos entitled “Our health in today’s climate: Stories from the Philippines” is part of the Planetary and Global Health Program’s awareness-raising campaigns for #ClimateHealth, supported by the Adaptation Research Alliance and the University of California-San Francisco.
