Hey man Eric Bolivar here... (the drummer in the video.) Someone turned me onto this post and I just wanted to say thanks for the love. Yes you spied a Funkadelic tshirt that was lost on tour. 😢😢😢 All the best EB
Interesting but sad fact…the amazing bassist in this video is Carl Dufrene Jr. My musical mentor and best friend. He tragically lost his life a little over a year ago after losing his battle with addiction 😢
OMG Anders is the greatest guitar player most have never heard of, I'm always telling people about him, to blank stares...I'm so stoked you're doing him! Gonna watch it right now...
Found this channel when I got into the Grateful dead a few weeks ago. Subscribers are blowing up and this is now my favorite music channel. Keep it up!!
That's a big ass sound for a 3 piece!! Now that's a true power trio! I love a good power trio. For whatever reason, I have been a part of more trios over the last 25 years than anything else. I actually love playing with multiple other players but it always seems to gel better with less. I would usually think of a thinner sound with the single coils but damn that sounds as powerful as most humbuckers. How have I never heard this guy before?
Man!!!!! I will relent from my onslaught of Warren Haynes pleading to praise your choice here. I go to New orleans jazz fest every year and anything Anders does I go see. He is the man!!
Thanks Guitargate! i like the instruction, and while the technical jargon escapes me, i like hearing you dissect a riff / progression and that has helped me in my own playing. thanks !!
Would love to see some Allman Brothers Band, White Stripes and Billy Strings soon! Love all the jam videos for sure!! Just got home from The Brothers at MSG Tuesday night, unbelievable night! Everyone was on, especially Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes!!
Thank you!!! I was just at the Brothers show at MSG on Tuesday, such an incredible performance!! Derek jammed out on Duane Allman's Gold Top 1957 Les Paul on Mountain Jam and Blue Sky second set! Probably my favorite show I've been to in the past 3 years at least!
Hell yes!! Love love love Anders! Love that he helps other sober musicians make it on the road through www.sendmeafriend.org Thank you for spotlighting Anders Osborne 🙌🏼
Awesome video, so cool to see you be so into it. Anders plays the Hamilton Live in DC May 30 (assuming we all haven't died of coronavirus by then), see you there!
Please do a video on eyes of the world by Dead & Company. When they come into the solo after the first chorus it is phenomenal. Robert Hunter/Jerry Garcia’s writing is great like you said and johns execution of their ideas is perfect imo
And some classics: Rory Gallagher - Bullfrog Blues ua-cam.com/video/OzXRNHQ2PFQ/v-deo.html Robin Trower - Too Rolling Stoned ua-cam.com/video/Xpu66oLjWmk/v-deo.html
Nice work! Speaking of tone, what are you using for pedal/amps? You get an excellent tone presumably at a relatively low volume as it appears you work out of your house.
I subscribed back when you only had 28K, so I feel like I got on board early! Great channel so far, and I appreciate what you're doing. I've been spreading the word. I haven't caught all of the episodes, but am surprised that Steve Kimock hasn't come up yet. While there are many projects he has been in that you could choose from (KVHW, Steve Kimock and Friends, and Steve Kimock Band are just a few), I'm hoping you can dissect a version of Zero's Golden Road. Link below: archive.org/details/Zero1993-08-21.flac16
I've requested Kimock several times. The Hillbillies on PCP by KVHW is a real barn burner, but anything he does is killer. My favorite living guitarist. ua-cam.com/video/xuDDrtydE2Y/v-deo.html
Check out what Anders does with a power outage on the song "On the Road to Charlie Parker", another ass-kicking. ua-cam.com/video/A3Q46Rb_G3k/v-deo.html
just fantastic....speaking of raucous power trios....some vintage Gov't Mule with just warren, woody and matt would be great. there's a lot of meat on the bone. thanks for these vids! "MULE / I'VE BEEN WORKIN'" from Iriving Plaza in 1999. BADASS!! ua-cam.com/video/LUNzjZItTX4/v-deo.html
Django rheinhardt or jimmy rosenberg.......or stochelo rosenberg the uncle doing the best cover of djangos "improvisation" i've ever seen....pretty please :)
Great tune! I am really enjoying this series, keep it up! I am continuing on my quest to get you to check out some Big Wreck though. Ian Thornley is a great slide player, however this song starts out with a killer country lick and just goes heavy from there: ua-cam.com/video/_HK36nXbPe8/v-deo.html

Thank You, Eric. I've seen you guys 6-7 times now. Great EVERY time.
I’ve seen him so many times. Epic shows at 8x10. Rest in Peace Carl Dufrene...a bass god and Bayou Buddha
Interesting but sad fact…the amazing bassist in this video is Carl Dufrene Jr. My musical mentor and best friend. He tragically lost his life a little over a year ago after losing his battle with addiction 😢
So sorry for your loss...
I don’t see any suggestions for WEEN!!?! You absolutely have to react to a Ween video, their energy is unparalleled and Dean Ween is a super shredder🔥
Anders is a treasure down here in New Orleans

Thanks!
I saw Anders at jazz fest in the early 2000’s and his “bass” player was playing a sousaphone. It was very cool.
That was the greatest!!!! Love your reaction!!! Feel EXACTLY the same way!!!

Anders is a force as was Carl. 7.2K views out of 485K subscribers to date, flying under the radar.
Anders lives 6 blocks away from me. Love this guy
Would love to see a reaction video for Sonny Landreth from Crossroads Festival
Got Slide?
Thanks for the introductions....
Thank you!
I saw Anders at the White Mtn Boogie and Blues Festiaval in 2012. Great emotive player.

I second this. Hell, any reaction to a Jerry Eye's Of The World would be awesome.
Would love to see you review and break down MAGGOT BRAIN by Funkadelic since you mention them in the video. Or any song by the great Joe Bonamassa!!!
So glad to see you doing an Anders song!! Man your videos keep getting better and better. Is Anders in open G or standard?
Check out his tune "Limestone Bay".
More awesome shiat, buddy. Love it. Any love for Isaiah Mitchell from the juggernaut that is Earthless?
Eddie Roberts next. The new mastersounds - in the middle/ the minx
