I was born in the late fall of 1978. I was given the Unicorn Record Album by the Handsome, Charming and Extremely Talented Singers and Musicians, The Irish Rovers when I was four. I still have it! I later bought The Unicorn Record Album on CD. This is the first time ever heard these awesome songs and video! I Love It!
I went to the Irish rovers last night and got my eight track tape sined and it caused a big long speech about 1974 and so on ya I'm 13 and i lovethere music
In the fall, roast chicken, duck, goose, pork, beef didn't matter what creature.... Mom had the mashed potatoes, gravy, creamed corn or boiled carrotts, baking powder biscuits with real butter an honey and Dad's baked beans and bacon! us kids on the floor in the living room and the folks at the coffee table for the Irish Rovers Show, great times....
I remembered as a little girl living in New Hampshire, WCSH-TV Channel 6 out of Portland ,Maine (NBC) used to air The Irish Rovers on Saturday afternoons back in the early 1980's. So cool and thank you for posting it! :) Anita Augenti
Would love to see their original 1970s show on DVD. CBC owns the copyright, so any Irish Rovers fans here should either start or sign an online petition & forward it to the CBC. Maybe that way, we could at least get 1 or 2 seasons available. Would be great to see those wonderful old shows again, and these guys in their prime.
Thank you so much for this! I saw them in concert back in 1987 in Newfoundland; it was the most fun I had at a concert EVER! :) I remember those shows on CBC too; I watched them with my Mom and Dad (both of whom have since passed) every weekend. You've brought back some good memories. Thank you again!

Grammar old rocking chair
@T2DU1989 The second song is called "Down In The Devil's Den"
Trying to find the lyrics to the second song but can’t find them anywhere!
Are any of these songs on an album?
The 2nd one, 'Down in the Devil's Den', is on the CD 'Party with the Rovers' (1985). I think it's available on EBay.
Maybe Will would have made a good muppet,
Pretend Irish music.
