I've known (and loved) the Naturally album for many years but until watching your video I hadn't realised there were so many musicians playing on it. I had assumed (wrongly!) that that fab "demo" sound was because it was just JJ Cale doing (nearly) everything. Something new every day...
Well he did work as a producer. And although he's not credited as a producer on the album, i'm sure he had played a big role on the overall sound. It's a great and interesting album in many ways.
Clapton was heavily influenced by J.J. Cale, you can tell from Lay Down Sally and his cover of After Midnight. Along with many others that took from this highly underrated musician. Great lesson, thank you

Skynyrd did such an awesome version of They Call Me The Breeze. Thanks for this video.
For sure. Love the piano solo in that one.
Cool 😎 vid. Big JJ fan and just getting to grips with guitar. Perfect timing!
Thank you 🙏🏻 😊
Great. Best of luck with the practice.
Very informative video, thank you. Any chance to figure out how J.J. Cale came up with drums sound on Low Down song? :)
No problem. I would love to make more videos about him at some point.
