Great video Bryan. I couldn’t imagine living in this area and getting a delivery of crushed stone from the quarry. I’d be out in my driveway after a rainstorm on my hand and knees searching! 😂

I have been there twice now and have found some amazing agates. It's very relaxing and laid back and the owners are super friendly and helpful. Bummed I didn't know you were in Minnesota
I live near the Great Lakes 👍 whenever you go for hike look down. There are agates everywhere. Such a beauty , Mother Earth 🌎 doing her thing❤

Some nice ones! I’m still searching for a Lake Superior agate ( they are in Missouri but a rare find). I found some interesting agate yesterday in Washington county MO very different than the Haunted Ridge stuff. It’s all in chert. I think you can see evidence of it being stromatolite fossils! Lol I’m gonna have to go north for those Lake Superior agates but there’s so much good stuff just south! 😆 Looking forward to seeing you this November man

Glad you go to this location instead of trespassing into gravel pits for the agates like so many people do in the area. Tired of people coming in for agates & then leaving with our copper wire in the wee hours.
Nice I'm central Minnesota so this is a few hours drive but you made hunting gemstones like agates seem cool, agates are cool. I just looked up the site and location so yeah thanks dude, don't know if I'm gonna drive 2hours and make a appointment for the dude to tell me no. 15$ a bag and that's a 50$ bag pretty much not bad but hey whatever we only live once right. Good luck hunting rocks and thanks for saying hi to Minnesota. Also I hunt rocks allot and you can find gold here, silver, blue chalcedony, many great minerals
have you been to thompsonite beach or the mine on lake superior? only place in world for thompsonite and it's gorgeous! pink, white, black and green fish eye agates

Very Cool... Not sure if you have ever seem this before, But If your passing threw Ohio Look up Mercer County Library in Celina Ohio... In 2006 Ron & Ruth Langsdon donated a substantial part of their personal rare mineral collection to the Mercer County Library in order for future generations to learn and enjoy. They felt a public library would be an ideal location for all present and future generations. The collection consists of more than 900 minerals from all over the the world in 21 display cases. This is always there and very cool to see.. Just FYI

Hey Bryan! I’ll have to watch again tomorrow - headphones weren’t charged and Rick was watching TV so I had no sound. Anyway, I vaguely remember a short FB Live from here that was really cool. One thing that always amazes me is your eagle eye. I think I would have missed all of those! And no knee pads? Ouch, no? As usual, superb editing and a lot of fun. Hey man, i just found your channel and im 22 and a local of north carolina! I have seem you have been within an hour of me! I have a small wallet -coin sack- of gems i found at a small creek and cave not 30ish minutes from emerald village. I havent been able to find it and there are no named caves on any survey map etc. The courthouse doesnt have any other than the ones we all know about. Id love to investigate with you or show you what i found. I doubt its worth any money though but the rubies or red gem is pretty solid and clear but not hexagonal. Mostly emerald though... lots of emerald

as a little kid 4-5 years old I searched everywhere for pretty stones. and I have a collection of crystals. But going out to various places n the world and finding them in the ground is such a dream

I like the agates. I watched a rock Hunter on YT video at a stream up north find alot of big ones. He sawed them open and oh my gosh they looked like mini painting. He said they are called picture agates. Would love to find some of those. Where do you think the closest place to hunt for them near Florida , would be ?
I haven’t been there, but there’s apparently a place in Summerville, South Carolina, that you can find some lace agate, but not as good as the stuff you will find at this location and in this area. If you ever take a trip out west, there’s lots of spots.

Its easiest if you dig in from ground level raking them away as they fall unless there is a lot of sand and in it.
I can show you an awesome spot to find baseball ⚾ size agates on the Oregon coast lots of petrified wood to let me know if your ever on the Oregon coast 🌲 ✌️❤️

The life of a Minnesota agate picker is just looking through landscaping rocks. This guy should get permission to enter a gravel pit where he can find some big boys
I went there this year, the guy is extremely nice. Basically he lives kinda in the country and filed his front yard with many truck full of rocks. I didn't find much agate, some jasper. All smaller stuff not worth very much. I looked for a few hours. If you want find like good stuff or rare stuff, expensive stuff this is not the place. I'm not interested in doing it again, what I found wasn't worth the time involved. Was okay for a one time thing to try but it really seemed picked out I had a hard time finding any agate really. Most of my bag had jasper and a few other weird looking rocks.
