These machines really do stand the test of time. My 25 year old Hoover Commodore washes and spins like a new machine. It's never had any maintenance or servicing either.
This video is about an American style top loader with an British brand made in Australia plus an agitator influenced by Japanese manufacturer Hitachi :)
Seems a beautifully engineered machine but it looks like it has an unsealed inner drum (like a colander) and therefore probably has an enormous hot wash water consumption, similar to the British Hotpoint 1504. The hot wash water consumption for the 1504 was as follows from memory:-
I inherited a 7kg hoover washing machine, lol. But it won't stop taking water, it just keeps on going, and if i try to manually add water it still wont start, it just take 4 intial rounds like your video than just never starts. Also the 7kg variant doesn't have soak dr buttons but it has selector, which has to be set between 4 options, spin dry/soak/drip dry. Can you please help? As this video is closest thing i found on internet for these machines.

Holy frequency i have never seen something like this in my life before!!!!!😱😱😱😱
Thanks for uploading the Video. The rollover looks reverse for a large load of laundry.
New subscriber here, love this machine, we had a hotpoint top loader and the first rinse just filled up then drained, love the spray rinses.
Love the sound of the pumps in the old Simpsons and Hoovers.
That's nice I'd like to see how it washes
Cool 😎
Where is the filter located in this machine? Lost my user manual. I have the hoover giant capacity plus top loader.
I wonder does this machine give the deep agitated rinse or is it just a spray rinse
