I immediately discounted this video when I saw them touting the very first washer here - the Amana, because I have this washer and it has helped me greatly in one regard: inventing and artfully stringing together more cuss words than I ever could imagine. The lid lock never worked so I had to dismantle it to wash clothes. The water level was always incorrect and typically too low; the clothes would just sit there nearly still while "agitating". It made me use way too much detergent and even then clothes still smelled dirty. I need to go take my blood pressure meds now...

Just had to repair a Samsung washer purchased at Lowe’s in 2019 and was told after 95.00 visit that it needed a 210 part and over 400 dollar labor charge. Four years is way too soon for a repair that costs the same as the machine.
Thanks I was considering it until I read your comment. Will next research their #3 since LG is worse than Samsung for customer service. My washer now is a Maytag only 3 years old but it doesn’t drain properly..stuff at the bottom of the tub always stays wet. The electronics often act up though I’ve been lucky to be able to clear on my own
Samsung is well known for the worst quality in appliances. This tells me little research went into this video and brand longevity and customer support is completely ignored in these recommendations.
Hehe true! Probably, the best they have are phones and tablets. We've had a Samsung Washing Machine, TV, and Fridge...all of which died within 1-3 years and outlasted by my Samsung Note 3 :D Had them replaced with Sony (TV), Panasonic (Washing Machine) and G.E./Beko (Fridge)...all are still thriving and served their worth by now. :D
We have a Samsung microwave. With normal use, the handle started crumbling to pieces after 2 years. Cost $100 to replace the handle which is worth about $1.
My Kenmore set is crapping out on me but I've moved into the woods with tons and tons of sand so, it lasted about 10 years considering I would buy another set in a hot minute.
Just did my 1st small load of towels using the highly recommended GE Profile Impeller washer. I purchased because of the highly recommended reviews. What a disappointment!!! First off, it's loud, it also sounded like it was breaking when shifting into wash. It then looked as though only a gallon of water was in the load, you literally couldn't see water as it swished. It seriously tangled the cloths. And it unbalanced and stopped during the spin cycle. Will be retuning this washer today!
I had that problem and lived with it for years. The washer was a Maytag impeller....not an agitator. It was loud as hell and the suspension must have been weak because the machine would start walking all over the place violently as it went into spin cycle. Soooooooo glad to get rid of it and bought a Speed Queen agitator and I can open the lid at any time and close it back and it just picks up where it left off. I have had it now for about 2-3 months and love it so far. They aren't cheap but I couldn't take the poor quality and lack of cleaning my clothes properly. Oh, the water fills right up to the top, too!
The Amana is an entry level Whirlpool. (Whirlpool Purchased Maytag including the Amana name in 2006). Entry Level Whirlpools used to sold under the Roper and Estate names. Since 2006 Maytags and Amana are Whirlpool under the name label. There are many levels of Whirlpools at various price points that effect performance and length of life. They tend to be pretty good machines, but certainly not up to the same level as old traditional Maytags.
My daughter had my parents old washer and dryer. After 28 years, they both finally gave out. They did an amazing job washing/drying until they gave out.
I agree with the comment about Samsung as an appliance sales specialist have personally had a customers with the recall of exploding Samsung similar to this model and customers are constantly complaining about no customer service no repairs and impossible to get parts. There's no discussion of agitator vs. Impeller or price comparison either. Stick with CR, Yale appl reviews on UA-cam
Just replaced a whirlpool washer my parents bought in 1986. The pump no longer removed water from the tub. Replaced with a Whirlpool with the removable agitator. I don't expect it to last nearly as long as nothing made today is designed to be long-lasting. But since I am 65, I will be happy with at least 15 years of service.

We had an LG front load and was great, no problems in washing, except I changed the pump like 2 or 3 times in the 7 or 8 years we had, probably our fault cause washed to much dirty stuff ,cats and dogs bedding plus floor matts, and it started leaking water from the water hoses inside unit, again probably our freaking water is too chlorinated 😅 ,but went away still washing perfectly, one thing we loved was less time washing not like this set we just got, an LG combo ,top load. Don't like how slow and takes longer now😢
Probably will go with your no 2, since LG is notorious for poor customer service…When you need a repair the service techs they are willing to use are too far away, or in the case of a fridge I had, the compressor failed. The only technician they approved was on a trip to China for 4 weeks and they refused to send the compressor to my local shop.

The speed queen TC5 has the old school transmission that u r referring too . I have the Seed Queen TR5 with the new wash system. It works very well for our needs. I will never buy a Samsung washer again. Constantly going out of balance during spin cycles. Having to reset the wash several times before a spin cycle will complete. I recently replaced the suspension rods and it still doesn’t work properly.
I got tired of my Maytag Bravos washer shaking and banging and breaking down, so I bought a Frigidaire washer. It didn't break down as much as the Maytag, but it shoook, beat and banged during the spin cycle and would move around on the floor. I re- leveled it several times, but it would never spin smoothly and quietly. My bedroom is at the opposite end of my house from the washing machine and it would wake me up when it was on the spin cycle. I finally had enough of this JUNK being sold to us, and I bought a Speed Queen washing machine It cost almost as much as 3 Frigidaires or Mayutags, but It is well worth the $1500 I paid for it. It's smooth and quiet. We can hardly tell that it's spinning. The way we can tell is you can hear the faint hum of the drain pump.
Have had my samsung 8,5kg top loader for more then 10yrs only thing that has broken are the filters and just had to replace them. You must be overloading your washing machine
We bought all GE products, five, to replace what we lost in hurricane Ian. So far three have broken in less than five months, but by far the worst is the GE Profile washer, non agitator. So far it has been serviced 5 times, it is impossible to balance a load of any size. Even GE sent a tech out. We have complained so much that the dealer, not GE, they would not do it, has agreed to replace it. We have done a lot of research, although we also researched the GE and it got good marks. We have decided to go with the Maytag Commercial brand because it is a simpler design and has an agitator. Hope we are making the right decision, only time will tell. I do believe that only Speed Queen makes a truly good washer, but is too expensive for us given all the money we have had to put out for junk appliances!
I'm surprised that the Samsung came in first place. They are built using low quality parts and often breakdown. I think this list is only rating the washers according to which ones are the most attractive. Samsung does make good looking and modern styled appliances.
I do not believe the Maytag MVW7232HW model comes with a removable agitator as described in the video. Haven't found anywhere where this model markets or offers this.
big issue with speedqueen machines is... they're SMALL. like really small. If you only do clothes, they'll last forever, but if you have a king sized bed, your comforter (and bulkier blankets) won't even fit. Even the frontloaders tend to be 3.5s. The quality costs though, as you'll pay 2-4 times as much as a comparable (though much less reliable and repairable) residential unit.
@@dianelarrygross3958 I DID research speedqueen. That's why I said what I said. part of why they are so robust is because it is heavier duty mechanisms with a smaller wash capacity. Even the largest frontliad speed queens are smaller than medium sized consumer models. I have not seen a single speed queen that is large enough to handle a king size comforter, and since I HAVE a king size bed...
Hi I'm looking to buy a washer. I'm aware that speed queen is best unfortunately it's too small for king size comforters. What else would you recommend?
@@ceciliaoneil9606You should look at the Maytag commercial washer that actually has Commercial Grade parts or something else similar is the GE commercial washer if you want to buy a unit thats similar to Speed queen.
speed queen can handle more weight than the other larger capacity washers, superior suspension, it very well may fit if its not too thick, but sq is coming out with larger capacity top load, it may be a year or 2 though@@ceciliaoneil9606
Save yourself the trouble of buying one of these machines only to have it fail later. Get a Speed-Queen and trust me you won't be sorry. I had two Maytags and NEVER again!

Danger, danger, danger! We got a Samsung and it flooded our house, as it was designed to do. So we threw it away after only 1.5 years. Keep it in the basement or you will suffer thousands in damages.
I also had a new Samsung front loader that flooded my house for 2 weeks when I was on vacation. The insurance company investigated and was unable to go after Samsung as it was as “designed”. I refused to put that washer back in my house and have been happy with my LG for over 10 years now.
@@ItzFixed6526 I made a comment to a different video ua-cam.com/users/shortsxzjNol-jGCg which has gotten more likes and comments than maybe any of my previous UA-cam comments. In a sub comment which asked the same question I answered it with this pasted comment. A reply describes a partial fix. It was a top load Samsung washer. The outside is sexy metal but the inside is plastic in the critical areas. The drain pump is attached with plastic to the tub instead of the body. If it goes marginally off balance the pump hits the side and tears off. The hose at the bottom is pushed on to a slippery plastic tube with no nipple, it is just straight. They use a weak finger clamp so the hose pulls right off with the pump allowing the water to drain out the bottom. Then it senses low water and starts filling to only go out the bottom. Samsung got class action sued and they paid the lawyers a lot of money to go away and sent us owners stickers to put around the control knob. Two thirds of the lines, presumably the explode settings, were gone and we were told to only use the spots where the lines remained. Warranty is a joke too. It costs for a visit, parts, and labor to restore it back to being a household flooding device. We threw it out. It would have been immoral to sell that junk to someone else.
Well my original review was edited and I scratched my head as to why they felt the need to do that. Speed Queen touts where they are made...in Wisconsin by American workers. However, as I was trying to help with expanding on that narrative, I compared their machines to other "American" companies (in name, only) and said that many of those companies' machines are actually made in a large country that begins with the letter C. What were they afraid of..... insulting them?
I'm sorry I totally disagree! I had a Speed Queen washer and dryer, dryer was fine. Washer was okay, definitely easy to use!! I moved about 3 years ago and decided to get a new set, biggest mistake ever!! Again, dryer is fine. Hate the washer, it does not clean, it does not fill enough to cover the clothes. It has one job to do and it fails 8 out of 10 times. I called customer service right after I got it, since it was still under warranty. I waited an hour before I got to talk to someone and the gal was a complete useless B. She said didn't even look into my warranty, she said I would just have to call a repair man, which would cost me. She was SO rude and pretty much blamed the government for the lack of water and why it preformed poorly, WHAT?!?!? Are you kidding me??!? I ended up hanging up on her, because she was so rude and unhelpful. That was 2 years ago, in the meantime I have tried different detergents and I typically have to add a bucket of water just so it covers the clothes. Ridiculous. I will NEVER buy a Speed Queen again, so disappointing.
The best washer is Speed Queen! Samsung is garbage with ample evidence to justify that truth. Amanda washers are also trash. I had this exact washer for 18 months before it died. I still have the matching Amanda dryer. I would recommend that. It’s 7 years old with zero issues. I can’t speak on Maytag or whirlpool except that they are not what they used to be.
Samsung make good TVs & cell phones, after that garbage. My neighbor is a repair person, GE was brought out by a Chinese company, since then their product line has gone down hill. For a top loader Speed Queen will last you a life time.
The Samsung is beyond poor. Always out of balance and bangs around. Replaced 4 corner struts twice. Can't leave the house when doing a load or else machine keeps filling with water in lame attempt rebalance. Have to manually unload and precisely distribute clothes to achieve balance. God forbid if you misplace an ankle sock.
Maytag is a joke, after only 5 months of using, it stopped working, and the tech guy can never fix it. Maytag will only tells you to wait for the parts and schedule you the time to repair. And that 10 year warranty for what? Only 5 months the rep will keep asking you to buy more warranty for cheaper price. PLEASE DO NOT BUY MAYTAG!
All of these washers are crap. Speed Queen was not even mentioned.. Speed Queen is actually the best that you can buy.. Although expensive, but if you are looking to never have to buy another washer again, Speed Queen is the way to go.
The fact that they included a Samsung washer tell me this review is bogus. Worst washer in the industry. My repair friend said they make good TV but not appliances.
Horrible machine 2nd one in 3 years and still this new one with auto dispense ! 2 in 5 days span , and even the one th way just brought today is defective, I complained to Samsung and they didn’t even help !

If you’re here it’s cause we officially grew up 😢
GE washer 11 years old. No problems. Fingers crossed.
I like the removable agitator unit!
OK🤷🏽 this had my head spinning, because I just bought one. You can order one with the agitator or without an agitator.. misleading video
would love to see a review of speed queen which is what is in most laundromats and take a beating. i know they make them for the home too
big issue with speedqueen machines is... they're SMALL. like really small.
@@ironsmiter You need to really research Speed Queen!! The BEST!! Bar None.
WHERE to buy a SpeedQueen please? Thank you
Speed queen
Hi I'm looking to buy a washer. I'm aware that speed queen is best unfortunately it's too small for king size comforters. What else would you recommend?
@@ceciliaoneil9606You should look at the Maytag commercial washer that actually has Commercial Grade parts or something else similar is the GE commercial washer if you want to buy a unit thats similar to Speed queen.
Also, do not buy from Samsung appliences, they are shit.
speed queen can handle more weight than the other larger capacity washers, superior suspension, it very well may fit if its not too thick, but sq is coming out with larger capacity top load, it may be a year or 2 though@@ceciliaoneil9606
Speed queen TC 5 Toploader unequivocally the best
Save yourself the trouble of buying one of these machines only to have it fail later. Get a Speed-Queen and trust me you won't be sorry. I had two Maytags and NEVER again!
Maytags quality has gone down hill big time. It's shocking how bad they have gotten since whirlpool bought them,
They are Not Maytags. They are midlevel Whirlpool with a Maytag label on them. Google Newton Iowa to View the grave site of Maytag. @@sherlyteegs3068
Why isn't Speed Queen in these? Their washers have been consistently rated at the top.
February 1986 Reagan executive order, liability for a any manufactured good's in the USA to 3 years..
You got what you paid for 😅😅😅😅
I want investors to start a new American appliance manufacturer.
I have been in the industry for 59 years..
Let's make something worthwhile.
That works!!!!
Samsung is a no buy. Also removable agitator has quality issues. This list is very suspicious.
Buy it once. Maytag.
SPEED QUEEN Is Untouchable. Please Do You Research People.
Where to buy a speed queen please?
Overrated washer
Maytag? LOL. I used Maytag "Commercial" and it's junk.
It’s too bad you can’t buy a fully mechanical one anymore with no circuit cards. Those can last forever!
Will never have another Samsung product once mine finally dies. Samsung is junk.
I totally agree Samsung is junk got rid of a Samsung today.
@@terriecedas5907What did you replace it with?
So is Maytag. Freaking machine only lasted 8 years.
Amana 3.5
Danger, danger, danger! We got a Samsung and it flooded our house, as it was designed to do. So we threw it away after only 1.5 years. Keep it in the basement or you will suffer thousands in damages.
How did that happen?
I also had a new Samsung front loader that flooded my house for 2 weeks when I was on vacation. The insurance company investigated and was unable to go after Samsung as it was as “designed”. I refused to put that washer back in my house and have been happy with my LG for over 10 years now.
@@ItzFixed6526 I made a comment to a different video ua-cam.com/users/shortsxzjNol-jGCg
which has gotten more likes and comments than maybe any of my previous UA-cam comments.
Two Words...........Speed Queen. They're uncomplicated and work hard. Oh and they're actually made in America by Americans
Bull, The best Washing machine on the market? ? Speed Queen hands down !!!
For a top loader Speed Queen will last you a life time.

had exact washer with the No.2 samsung, broke in 2 years. show how little you know. more like Invalid Consumer.
Any top list with Samsung on it is crap. The fact that he has it at #2 is laughable.
They picked these choices out of a hat....
No speed queen other than at the laundry mat during intro....hmmmm. you lost me with number 2. Junk
Dude all you need is something that just works not all this electronic crap fill it up washrooms done
PLEASE DO NOT BUY MAYTAG!
whirpool
All of these washers are crap. Speed Queen was not even mentioned.. Speed Queen is actually the best that you can buy.. Although expensive, but if you are looking to never have to buy another washer again, Speed Queen is the way to go.
Awesome😂
I'll put my Speed Queen up against any of them.
LG
Samsung ! If something goes wrong!! And it will! NIGHTMARE TO GET IT FIXED!
why are american appliances so bulky
Many Americans are bulky. The Brits are catching up.
The fact that they included a Samsung washer tell me this review is bogus. Worst washer in the industry. My repair friend said they make good TV but not appliances.
Samsung ,are u kidding me? Every one in America knows about their reputation. I'm out of here.
No speed queen other than at the laundry mat during intro....hmmmm. you lost me with number 2. Junk
You forgot the Speed Queen TR7 and TC5
#2: Samsung 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This video is BS the best washer machine is speed queen.
Horrible machine 2nd one in 3 years and still this new one with auto dispense ! 2 in 5 days span , and even the one th way just brought today is defective, I complained to Samsung and they didn’t even help !
this video seem way to non transparent.... its like a tv ad that targets the amateur audience ... save the headache watch UA-camrs perspectives instead
Exactly. Watch the guys who repair appliances. A lot of these "reviews" are based on features and looks. Who cares if my washer is wifi enabled if it lasts only 6 mths?
kim paths laundry room
briscon electrics push broom
brothers shermans tomb
Nonsense! That Maytag which I own is an absolute piece of garbage. It’s noisy, won’t fill with water, others complain about it too. Don’t buy! I had an LG for 12 years without a problem. Stay away from this Maytag.
His was the wose review ever, there was almost no information
Electronics = failure buy a mechanical one or just have the old one rebuilt. New is junk.
Down vote for computer generated junk.
Thot LG and Samsung were the worse! Dont believe your opinion on best washers!!
Samsung is the worst
I would never buy one this junk. The very best top load washer is a commercial Maytag.
This is terrible advice…look elsewhere!
