    Pretty useful, I have a place off the grid in Baja where I spend months every year and do all my washing by hand, this would make my life so much easier. Thanks

    For what it’s designed for it does work. Great for an off grid scenario. Might not get the clothes perfect but cleaner is better than nothing

    Honestly I see this for underwear, T Shirts, socks, cloth diapers, and cloth menstrual pads, (disposable diapers and menstrual pads won't be around in a SHTF situation). Heavier shirts, pants, towels bedding etc, will need more room and power. But then again all of that this can wash is the stuff that "gets stinky the easiest, and stinks the worst". So I will likely get a couple of these!

    for laundy the washer goes on the bottom faceing up thats why it spins 2 directions.... the side is for dishes. Also makes a great alternative to those mini washers, whether you use them for laundry or for hash making a 5 gallon bucket, bung fitting, tubing adapter and tube and you have made a similar product. You can make 3 maybe 4 full units washer system and all for price of 1. And I don't mean the new ones that are collapsible, those are just this with a $2 collapsible bucket and marked up 2-300%. Though the other kind that are solid and are blue most of the time they have a better drive system belt and pulleys for more torque and it shows when your washing it whips around a full load these struggle with half

    I would like to see you hand-wash the rag right after. Just as comparison to see if it will clean better or the mini washing machine made the best possible work

    Do a demo with a few plates. See if you can 'replace' your dishwasher if you 'hunker down' at home but have SOLAR or GAS but no Electric. I could see using this for the clothes 'closets' to your body.

    I use it for a small dark wash that i don't want to put in the washing machine. Ideal for socks, smalls, hand towels. T-shirts Not suitable for heavily soiled clothes but ideal for a light hand soak.

    My wife and many other ladies in the Philippines often spend hours in 30C plus heat hand washing underwear, T-shirts and shorts, among other things. It's tiring for the hands and back. As well, many families can't afford a full size washing machine, or don't have a connection to the mains water for one. As well, power outages happen often. Having something like this that can plug into a power bank would be ideal.

    Would not mind having one to help wash and presoak my clothes in the bucket in my bathtub while I do my morning cleaning chores. This should help get the liquid laundry detergent a good thorough mix into my clothes. This is the selling point I believe. Then when ready to fully wash I can finish my laundry wash with a plunger.

    It's pretty cool, but I have an apartment sized portable washer that might be more useful. It doesn't use too much energy, so you could probably run it on minimal solar equipment. But you could also use it as you would a bucket with a plunger, and it is better, because it doesn't have a pump. It drains by gravity. So, if you don't have any power, you could fill the tub, use a plunger to agitate the clothes, and then turn the knob to let the water drain out, rather than having to lift a bucket or bail out the water. Now, the spinning half of the washer is separate and will always drain regardless of whether the knob to release the water in the washer is open or closed. If you have some solar you could spin dry the clothes, but if you don't, you could let them sit in there and drain a bit maybe press down to squeeze out more water, and then they'll be less heavy and sopping to either hang up, or hand wring a little more before hanging up to dry. So that's my plan for laundry as easy as possible when SHTF.

    • @roryboytube
      @roryboytube 10 місяців тому

      It should be better for silverware because it doesn't have the weight of clothes that can slow it down. Ultimately its better than soaking because it gives a constant agitation of the water.
      I doubt however that it will shift caked on food on cutlery. Its only Good for a more powerful soak.

  • @roryboytube
    @roryboytube 10 місяців тому

    I bought one. Not this exact model but the USB power is too weak to move the spinner once put in water.
    The USB power is not strong enough against the water pressure so it doesn't move. What am I doing wrong is it because i used an adaptor , i don't have a direct USB wall socket or s power bank 😢
