Hi I am a sports management major. I know it will be difficult but I want to a president or owner of a soccer team what career path is the best to take?
Focus heavily on the business side, maybe even minoring in business. Team president is more doable in the sense of being involved in the nuts and bolts day-to-day of a team's operating structure. However, pro sports owners generally have made their fortune (billions of dollars) in something not sports related and they buy the teams as a hobby.
Is this regarding physical optimization or the athletes or statistical analysis of the results? For the former, exercise science/strength and conditioning/health would be a good aspect to veer towards. For the latter, anything business related deals with a lot of numbers and analytics.
