I find in a rush it's an exact opposite for me. If any list hairs sticks, it's exactly there.
Turns out washing with soap or any strong surfactant can leave the regions on the lower body more contaminated than the rest, at least places not rubbed last or rinsed well. The lower, the more action is necessary, as parts where surfactant is flowing over and not tuoched with pressure afterwards are the worst in contamination. That's why if i have the time, i take it slow for tricky areas and use a strong flow of cold water in the end for as long as it's healthy for given circumstances.
Other thing, in cold weather periods with low physical activity its healthy periodically wash less than daily, or at least not in full (ex.g. it's harmfu to wash your hair with shampoo daily) and without any soap. It restores skin's healthy microbiome, if it's not infected or sick in some way. Only your intimate parts and mouth is certainly to be washed correctly daily However all this depends on a person's condition, genetics, partner and experiences.

You have put ease to a mild concern I've had since I was like 14. My parents homeschooled me and gave me almost literally no sex ed at all. Sex was incredibly taboo to the point that even when they told me the most basic of things about genitalia that I felt extremely awkward and wanted to avoid it at all costs.
I didn't bathe often as a child so one day I woke up to a rash in my crotch. I ran to the bathroom and checked to find what I only just learned from this video is called smegma built up in there. It was obvious to me that it was what caused the rash so I cleaned it out but I had no idea if it was due to some illness or infection. I did not feel comfortable telling my parents because I had recently started masturbating and for all I knew the smegma buildup was caused by that and I did not want them to know because I had no idea what the punishment might be. So I just hoped that it would go away and made sure to clean myself better. Thankfully I never had enough smegma built up again to even know that it is something that my body produces on the regular so, until today, I was under the impression that it *was* some sort of infection that was only mildly inconvenient, but truth be told I've had a small anxiety in the back of my head that it was something worse and it might come back one day.

The acidic pH makes it hard for “bad” bacteria to infect your vagina. When you use soaps, sprays, or gels - and yes, even water - to wash your vagina or penis, you disrupt the bacterial balance. This can result in bacterial vaginosis, yeast infection, penis urinary tract infection(penistinosis) and other irritation.

You needed to know about it as soon as you started doing your own baths. In the extremely unlikely case you live to 110 (statistics are very against it), a nurse will probably be doing it.

Thanks for the great video. I know there was a little note on the screen about not using soap to clean the glans but that is a really big deal and should be repeated since soap in the urethra is one of the leading causes of male UTI's. Also, I have recently switched to an anti fungal tea tree soap for the hairy parts and it seems to control any itching in the crotch area.

Good job with nicely telling guys ways to be clean. Some people in the office need this sent to them. As far as cotton underwear goes though, I find that they hold on to sweat for Mick longer. Ice silk or Lycra is the way to go as it's fast drying and I find allot less irritation with those fabrics.

There is no requirement to drain the male reproductive system, but regular ejaculation (up to around 21 times a month) decreases your risk of prostate cancer.

Back in the 70's a woman in Massachusetts (I think....) got in trouble for getting a vanity license plate that read SMEGMA. Eventually someone who knew what it meant turned her in and she lost her license plate. 😂😂😂

My skin is showing a reaction to water. I actually used to spend 15 to 20 minutes and sometimes even go more than half an hour. Sometimes i showered twice. I used to wash my hands with hand wash for around 6-10 times a day, and my hands had just become sooo dry. Even my face started looking very dry. I went to the doctor and he said to not apply body soap, wash hands with just water and spend less time in water. I am taking the medicines and applying moisturizer so it's getting fine now.

It's advisable to get circumcised, and use water to clean every time you go for No. 1 or 2. Then clean your hands with soap.

I USE HIBACLENS or generic Chlorohexidine surgical scrub from pharmacy. Leaves a very strong antimicrobial costing that last for a few days. This is what they use before surgery!

I just use a hemp oil and coconut oil combination body wash. Works pretty well, doesn't irritate. Also, one of the side benefits that I had not expected from the carnivore diet is that my body generates far less smell.
And I've never worried about smegma since I was circumcised as a baby.

I'm circumcised so I don't have some of these issues. I don't accumulate smegma. I always try to thoroughly rinse the soap off as it seems to irritate everything done there.
Yes! This is why having a bidet in the bathroom is important. I moved to the US, and I wonder how people can be clean in the private parts by using paper only. I installed a shower hose to better clear my rear, and also use a shallow bucket on top of a taller one as an impromptu bidet. It is not always possible to shower after defecation, so a bidet is a must for feeling clean.
I use baby wipes. Never went back to using dry bath tissue

Bidets are useful for women to rinse after sexual intercourse. Men can use the sink, for that, but it is too high up for women.
I never have used wet wipes. They seem like a waste and I read they clog pipes. I am not sure if they are made of natural fiber that breaks down, or synthetic fiber, which is basically plastic, that takes 500 years to break down,
Bathrooms in Italy need to have a bidet, mandated by the housing code. Bidets are cheap, and useful also for soaking feet and toes, for pedicures, etc.
@@stefpix I've only been to Europe a couple of times (Spain and Greee) and I've used a bidet over there. though for the wet wipes they make some that are flushable/ plumber approved to not clog here in the U.S. still though, comparing using only 1 wet wipe to numerous sheets of dry tp is no contest in my opinion. especially since most office/ public bathrooms here have only 1 ply or very thin paper, bringing the wipes with me saves the day.

I noticed in Italy people do not tend to go #2 in public restrooms as much as here in nyc. Probably people are turned off from going to a public restrooms without bidet.
Wet wipes is another environmental wasteful product in plastic containers. But that is another aspect of life in the USA. More packaging, more disposable plastic cups and utensils, more plastic. Things are improving, but slowly.
Anyway a shower with a hose is great. A shallow bucket too.
@@stefpix Here getting a Bidet installed to your toilet (if your toilet even allows it) would be around 300-600 US dollar, then another 200-250 dollars for the wiring and electrical work; and to address going #2 outside of home, here in the US the phrase is "shit on company time, not your own time" due to the rat race culture, as I'm sure you're familiar with if you've been in NYC. Personally, I only use plant-based wipes, which are like 5-6 dollars for 4 packs at the store I go to. Still, i understand your point about flushing excess material down the toilet. Eventually i would like a bidet when I get my own place, but i just can't get one at the moment lol. But i might try that showerhead/bucket trick in the near future

Yep, many guys don't do it and to me it's totally illogical since they are making the toilet opening smaller and thus harder to aim without splashing pee on the rim.

How do you clean the tip? I can’t seem to lather it up enough to cover all of it. There’s always some skin showing or parts of the tip without soap
It depends. My advise is outside of the foreskin: turn off or step out of the water, build up a lather on your hands and then apply.
Under the foreskin: Just use running water and apply a gentle massage with finger tips. Also important is don't use standard body wash or soap on your genitals -at all!
Use something specifically for sensitive skin and also without any grit. Mild botanical soap, goats milk or even a lotion would work.
For me I just pull back the foreskin so the tip is completely exposed (so the upper part of your penis looks like you're circumcised) and then just use plain running water from the shower to wash it from various angles.

When I was eight years old, I thought it would stay cleaner longer if I didn't rinse the Ivory bath soap off of it. That didn't turn out very well after the skin started peeling.
