Thanks for the continuous good content, honesty and showing people what a plain old good guy looks like. Love your videos and wish you all of the best.
My dad had a spray coupe and had me stand at the end of the field with a flag to mark each pass and every time he would turn around I would get covered with spray…the good old days.
What a great story on history of all the technical development and advancements in spraying, you've experience Mike. Very, interesting stuff! What an improvement in just over one and half a decade!! Like that👌👍
Hi Mike you have a nice set up there when I worked at Chs in South Dakota we had 6 of them case setups they work slick and we had 6 dry machines we were so busy then I got hurt and with in a couple of years our custom spraying and dry fertilizer bottom fell out all the farmers purchased there own equipment can’t blame them for that the prices we charged stay safe Mike
“You started seeing light bars in your sleep”. 😂🤣😂 So, does that mean you didn’t have any room left for all the other crazies that you’ve normally got going on up there? 😁
Gday mike, do you have a video on the history of your family farm and machinery over the years? Enjoying all the videos here in Australia keep up the good work
I learned to spray on a JD 4710 with foam markers, in 2008. Hauled it on a home made transport, with a 1990 Peterbilt 379. It's why I got my AZ at vanX in Yorkton. After three season's I wanted to drive that sprayer off a cliff! It did get upgraded to guidance! Lol, remember trying to calibrate that auto boom system with a bathroom scale to measure ground pressure, I threw away the whole system. My cousin's sprayed with an open station and they dragged a tire off the boom ends!!
Thanks for providing that brief history of how guidance/tracking systems evolved. When you started spraying is about when I stopped spraying. Thinking back it was stressful as hell always watching and guessing where your last pass was. Foam markers were a bit of an improvement but they were pretty marginal if you were making long passes - I seem to remember the foam largely dissipating if you were making 1 mile passes.
Oh man we had a outback 360 up until afew years ago when the light bar started drifting alittle in our 40 acre fields. I’d hate to see how bad it would drift in your fields.
Hey Mike. I'd love to see a pro/con video on powershift vs cvt. Been tempted by cvt but still some unknowns. I believe you run both. Cheers from western australia! 😁
I like the old outbacks vs the pro 700 and JD's. So easy to set A-B/Pivot/Contour vs the new crap, and almost no calibration crap like the newest outback :(
Good lord those are big diesel tanks. Two years ago I upgraded from a 1500 and 2000 gallon to two 3500. I thought they were huge, contemplated if I went overboard. One tank gets me through planting and hay season and another for harvest. How many gallons are yours? And how often are they filled?
35,000 gallons each and he fills them at least 2 twice a year... so up to 140,000 gallons. Well he said during seeding he can easily burn 2000 to 2500 gallons per day.
It would be so much easier to work out the weight if you measure with litres as its basically a 1 litre to 1 kg conversion. Also I thought Canadians used the metric system now
Curious what you have going on up north. Seems like it’s a break away from your family farm. Something you and Ashton get to work towards. Is there different crop opportunities, equipment requirements.
Hi Mike, Can you put up a map of your area showing roughly where the 'Home Farm' is and the area in which you encompass. You mention Moose Jaw as the location of your northern blocks of land. Distances in Canada are incomprehensible when compared to New Zealand. It looks like you travel between Auckland and Wellington in Distance.
You know we are calling your bluff,,, just because you have uploaded vids to youtube doesn't mean they have a set dop time, just because you have set it, you can also change it... LOL... Really wanting to see that 1167 vid,,, good on Full Line Austine,,, hahahaha Nag, Nag , Nag,,, LOL....
Oh I don't have my videos set on auto or anything .. I manually release them around 6 30am every morning... I have around 20ish or so videos uploaded and they all go in order. 🙂
Fuel tank is up front on those. Rear engine, product tank in the middle. Having the fuel tank and hood ornament makes it a lot easier to judge where the corn rows are in my experience. Gives some perspective of how the machine is handling a side hill or a turn that you don’t have when the cab is naked in the front.
Extra money Thats why You can buy a sprayer that's you can't afford for your farm then pay for it my doing work for others And others that don't want to buy a sprayer pay you to do it for them And you have use of a machine that's better than you need for your farm
You may not be a mechanic but one hell of and electrician. Way to fix that light.
Farmer -Jack of all trades, expert of none
When you explain something you do it in detail. We actually learn something from your videos. Thank you Mike.
Thanks, I appreciate that 🙂
All the horns going 🤣🤣
Im 21, atarted spraying when i was 13-14. Never used anything but auto steer, you old guys are crazy with your foam markers.
We used our GPS eyes lol
Thanks for the continuous good content, honesty and showing people what a plain old good guy looks like. Love your videos and wish you all of the best.
That rig is kind of cool. I've always had a soft spot for custom semis
Fixed the light, she did marry an mechanic!
Enjoyed hearing about your early spraying days (and the honking horns, haha). Another good one!
Thats how a true farm works, together. You know, filming and honking horns. 100%
My brother-in-law invented the auto boom. Have a great day and great video
Your videos are the best Mike Mitchell thank you
Genuinely.... Thanks for making the vids Mike. Appreciate the time they take. Graham Sheffield England
You be an excellent hand model. Hope your well Mike.
Great story!!! FairPlay to your memory!!!!
My dad had a spray coupe and had me stand at the end of the field with a flag to mark each pass and every time he would turn around I would get covered with spray…the good old days.
The horns are a true sign that all those guys are friends. They work together to get Mike some background music.
What a great story on history of all the technical development and advancements in spraying, you've experience Mike. Very, interesting stuff! What an improvement in just over one and half a decade!! Like that👌👍
Nice set up there, stay safe
Mike , great to hear your early spraying days ! In the uk we would get a contractor to do jobs further away from home ..
10:00 knock knock
that was so satisfying as f***!
Thanks for the good video. The technology now is just absolutely insane, but very cool.
The outback light bars were amazing haha. We still have a couple kicking around.
Great history. Thanks Mike
You ARE a mechanic!! You fixed that light!
Na mate, that's Auto electrician, lol

I still use a outback light bar for spreading fertlizer lol
Haha we still have 2 as well
Awesome Mike from oklahoma 👍👍
Great video Mike
“You started seeing light bars in your sleep”. 😂🤣😂
So, does that mean you didn’t have any room left for all the other crazies that you’ve normally got going on up there? 😁
You said all in my mind, I like your video 👍
The hardships of spraying, hilarious, did you go uphill both ways too, ha!
Yes, in - 30C conditions 😂
Perfect Mike.😃👍

Wow lovely
She's a beautiful rig Mike

I used a survey stake to make my empty place in the field yrs ago
Great video Mike, Red Flags so you went from a Chavette to a Cadillac. We have to start somewhere.
Last year I got outback auto steer/ mapping plumbed in, on my 7710jd tractor. I’m at that stage right now still. Tickled silly
Mike, I have a question: Is there going to be a video of your garden at home? Also, I think Bentley needs more screen time!
Ha ha ha , the horns- good stuff
Great video and how good is it
A whole different time right now Mike. And some of them are better some aren't but most of time it's better.😉
This is pretty good Klinger.
To be honest I preferred foam over a light bar. The light bar drove me nuts!!! Now I run autosteer with an S3 Outback witch is no longer made
We still run an 8600 on the farm.
Afternoon
Oh man we had a outback 360 up until afew years ago when the light bar started drifting alittle in our 40 acre fields. I’d hate to see how bad it would drift in your fields.
That's cool
It looked like you were A 👌 with your zero options on your original sprayer Mike!
LOL the horn.
Had to laugh about the driving in a little doughnut to mark where you ran out, that's exactly what i used to do hahaha!
Yo yo guyzz, shit I remember the outback light bar like yesterday. Was shit back in day 👊
Very cool
Big Mike 💪👌🤣🇮🇹
Neat trailer!
Hey Mike any update on the fendt two track?
Hey Mike. I'd love to see a pro/con video on powershift vs cvt. Been tempted by cvt but still some unknowns. I believe you run both.
Cheers from western australia! 😁
More Bentley content please!
You know everyone always looks silly tapping broken lights, but one in a hundred times it actually work ha
And he said he wasn't a mechanic!
I use outback gps and think it is great
Until 2017 farmers in Oklahoma didnt have to get permits to move wide loads
I like the old outbacks vs the pro 700 and JD's. So easy to set A-B/Pivot/Contour vs the new crap, and almost no calibration crap like the newest outback :(
So the wife rolls up and Mike greets the dog first?? Uh oh...
Bentley isn't camera shy like she is
What size nozzle tips do you use ?
I still got all the zero's 😂🤣😂
Nice unit Mike…….(thas what she said) 😂😂😂
hi mike
You need to change the video quality on your new phone to 4k. Videos are only available in full hd since the old phone broke.
I did change them, but they ll be a few videos out tho..
10:02 how are you not a mechanic😂😂 Tell your wife.
Red flags it what you said Mike.
711 reflective tape
More Bentley content please :D :D :D
Is fendt two track coming then mike?

Lol, we use both. All the land here was surveyed in miles.
@@davidlogel2350 same in the UK and when selling/buying land we use acres only big plots of land are sold in hectares
Bi-lingual, metric and engrish..
Curious what you have going on up north. Seems like it’s a break away from your family farm. Something you and Ashton get to work towards. Is there different crop opportunities, equipment requirements.
It's our hobby farm - what we get to do for down time or when we need a break from the main farm. 🙂
I like challenges and trying to new things

It's almost 600 kilometers from home farm to north farm. Home farm is between Shaunavon SK, Canada and the U.S.A. border. Canada is a huge place.
What do you think of CH industry buying of Raven?
Didn't surprise me really.. I hope they don't screw up a good system 🤣
👍
Does the new hoody mean something JD Green is due to show up or did the dealership give you new attire since Johnny Popper had sensor issues
Maybe it laid on top in the wardrobe 😂🤷♂️
@@TDCFire Probably the right answer
Lol, no kidding.
Maybe the X9 will actually show itself this year and wearing their merch is his way of enticing them
@@tomharper2709 I'll be surprised. Mother Deere would probably demand some favourable reviews and ol' Mike here would tell them to stick it somewhere.
what is the cost to you to run your rig? on a per acre basis
What area is your North farm , like nearest City ?
Holy Crap mike you are way older than you look
I know... I get that all the time
did you ever get to try the fendt 2 track
Yes.. Hopefully videos to come

what do the 4440 have in around of the cab? why don't they make it like a European sprayer where there is nothing in front of the cab.

@@ernestrollins383 thanks was wondering what was up there because I new engine was in back.
They also have the def tank up front too, at least our 4430 does. I would assume the 4440 is the same.
Do you fill your own water on site or do you have it trucked in?
Both
What breed is bentley?
Golden Doodle
@@mikemitchell2554 nice
Those horns are sad, lol
Decent money in the custom spraying business?
If you work hard and stay at it yes. But you starve getting started
Hey Mike.
Are you going to get A John Deere 8RX? If you do, you should put dual tracks on it.
Just wondering why did you have to spray other farmers lands instead of working on your family farm full time.
Extra money
Thats why
You can buy a sprayer that's you can't afford for your farm then pay for it my doing work for others
And others that don't want to buy a sprayer pay you to do it for them

How many acres your farm wide?
around 40 00 to 50 000
Guard that phone, those IPhones are not cheap to buy, I just got the IPhone 12 Pro 128 not cheap at all
He’s got a Samsung, they are cheaper and better quality
Can you run at night being wide ?
Frounded upon
So no you can't, but your "friend" does
Hahaha, 🤣 calculate the weight. 1l = 1kg
If you use an international metric system like 95% of the world 🌍
🎺🎺
hey mike you got any videos of when you were doing custom spraying that would be neat to see !!!!
No, that was before I recorded much
