How good will that code word be good for?? I’m planning to go to japan but my trip is looking like it won’t be until 2025 😢 I’m definitely going to check out Ryugon (and Niigata) while I’m there though!
Subtitles with blimey bloomin heck and well good seem like they’re written by a British guy because definitely not an American ever subtitle anything like that
We are going to travel around Tohoku next March, and will spend 2 nights at ryugon. After watching this video, I look even more forward to it than before. Thanks Ryotaro !
Ryotaro's channel is finally growing to a point where new viewers will be so confused seeing him insult this poor British man every video and ask themselves "do they hate each other or something?"
I still love the over the top British and internet slang inspired subtitles. Really suits the tone of Ryotaro, who doesn't always take things too seriously.
„Where lesser youtubers failed every challenge“! 😂😆👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻applause! I love this dynamic between Ryotaro and Chris. P.S. Watching Abroad in Japan (+Natsuki + Joey) and Ryotaro over the last years has become like visiting my family ☺️there’s something truly cool there that you’re making, guys. Hope I‘ll make it to 🇯🇵 some day!
What a beautiful building. The Japanese countryside is so lovely during pretty much every season. It's a bit of a shame a lot of tourists only focus on Tokyo and the other big cities. I understand a fair bit of Japanese and I'm loving the subtitle work in your videos 😂
Just spent a few days Miyagi area last December. Next time we'll go to Ryugon and say hi to your friend. Last December we stayed at Diakon no Hana. I have say that will be hard to beat. But that's the beauty of trying new places. Thanks Ryotaro. And keep giving Chris trouble. You guys have been fun to watch!
This place has the visual appeal and traditional architecture that I have always found to be so appealing and longing to see in Japan. I hope to one day be able to visit. Thank you for the video
I'm planning a trip to Japan, I want to spend the whole month in Tohoku, especially to be able to go to the Tohoku Saidan Matsuri, and I'm taking all your videos as recommendations to go, Sendai, Niigata, every single one. You're the best Ryotaro. Thank you for the video as always. Greeting from Brazil. Happy holidays and I wish a good 2024. Take acre!
Ryotaro's videos actually are very classy and I feel properly Japanese so it's comfortable, like nobody is offended. However, they are presented to a Western audience primarily. So it's very nice.
Good to see you making videos. The sound quality, editing & flow are great. Now you can show Chris who the more popular UA-camr is 😂 Happy New Year 🎈🎊🎆
First video I have seen on this channel! Loved it! Looking forward to binge watching everything 🥳 I live in Scotland and have only been to Japan once, but definitely prefered the countryside rather than the cities.
Yes looks amazing. I like Kyushu for Onsens, where I am currently, but as I live in Kanto , Niigata is accessible to me. I hate cold hence my love of Kyushu but snow is always beautiful so I will try coming while still winter .
Niigata isn't in Tohoku! To go from Niigata to Morioka I had to take the shinkansen all the way back to Omiya in Saitama. It was quicker than taking a bus straight across. But it's worth going to Niigata anyway. The food is especially good.
What a beautiful place Niigata is, and what an amazing Ryokan, when I finally make my way to Japan I will make it a stop on my travels. Btw, I have a sneaky suspicion that certain UA-camr (I won't say his name but it rhymes with Bris Croad) may have sabotaged your captions. 😅
Lovely. I wish I could stay there. Amenities in the room? When I used to eat pork, When I used to live with my parents. We used to have apple sauce with pork,
The place is amazing, unfortunately we didn't know about this place when we were driving through a week ago but still had to stop by and just appreciate the hotel for a while. And get the snow-aged beef dinner if you're visiting in winter - they're working with an aging company and after visiting the beef store I can't imagine what the dinner here could be like. (Yes, if you've watched a certain Abroad in Japan video you know this beef.)
Been really enjoying your content, I hope to visit this establishment on my next trip back to Japan. Also don't worry, if we hung out, I wouldn't ditch you right away 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Jokes aside, great video!

@@joecarosella7418 It should work ss long as we are friends!

Ryotaro is the Japanese uncle we all needed in life but never had. 👍
That is so true.
Omg yes!
That is the best flattering, I've ever had.
im japanese and i even agree 😂😂
Sō desu!!!👏🏻
Chris Broad has to be the one doing the subtitles
Ryotaro's channel is finally growing to a point where new viewers will be so confused seeing him insult this poor British man every video and ask themselves "do they hate each other or something?"
Wait, is there confusion on that? It's pretty clear to me. :p
I love the content and I'm still loving the fun with subtitles. Translating formal Japanese speach and greetings into cockney is just so fun.
The subtitles are brilliant! Turning formal Japanese into (the best I can describe) colloquial English "chav" is fantastic.
Not even two minutes in, and I am choking on my coffee, those subtitles hahahahh
I'll never get tired of the subtitles on these vids. Cheers Rissotoro!
whoever does the subtitles, you are amazing, they always crack me up.🤣
I love Ryotaro's sense of humor ("Alright bruv" lmaooo) and I also love that he will take a jab at Chris any chance he gets, hahahaha
I still love the over the top British and internet slang inspired subtitles. Really suits the tone of Ryotaro, who doesn't always take things too seriously.

the subtitles had me chortling as well!
Thanks for watching. I guess that where I come in to introduce the off the beaten path of Japan!

You guys have been fun to watch!
the way you say Muppet at 13:04 is filled with so much love and hate. I love it.
I love Ryotaros subtitles! I've never laughed so much and it's even funnier since i understand the Japanese but get to read the translations 😂
yes Im learning japanese and these subtitles seem strangely british?
I recently went to Japan, these videos want me to go back even more 😭
This place has the visual appeal and traditional architecture that I have always found to be so appealing and longing to see in Japan. I hope to one day be able to visit. Thank you for the video
Happy new year 🎉, hope everyone get a great night 😊. Thanks big R for all your content
10:21 your face expressions are great! I also like how the camera is coming in! Great work!✨😉👍
The subtitles are giving me LIFE!
Love your content, can’t wait for more in 2024 😊

Alright Bruv 1:55 had me in stitches 😂😂😂
😂 Aw, Ryotaro, I would dine with you! haha, You had me laughing throughout the entire video, you're so adorable it's funny.
Great video Ryotaro! I'm glad I found your channel! Thank you for sharing! 🙇😊
" *Impressed Ryotaro noise * "
I'm sorry I just can't... 🤣
🤣 one of the best translated youtube videos in ages, something "lesser youtubers" could learn from 😋
I’m so excited to experience this type of beauty for my first trip to Japan next year! Cheers!
Ryotaro's videos actually are very classy and I feel properly Japanese so it's comfortable, like nobody is offended. However, they are presented to a Western audience primarily. So it's very nice.

Amazing subtitle work. Cracking me up
love this video. this is my favorite ryokan besides takafue and tsuru no yu ❤
クリスさんが座敷わらしの旅館に泊まった時に、壁飾りの鬼のお面を見つけて、リョウタロウさんにそっくりだ!と言ってたのみて久しぶりにゲラゲラ笑えました!
本当にそっくりでしたよ😂
I think Ryotaro needs to rename the channel to "A day in the life of a true Japanese geezer". Innit bruv 😅
That is a bit too long, but I love it!
I mean you're not wrong...
First video I have seen on this channel! Loved it! Looking forward to binge watching everything 🥳 I live in Scotland and have only been to Japan once, but definitely prefered the countryside rather than the cities.
Came for the onsen, stayed for the subtitles 😂 this is too funny
1:22 The way they politely greet each other in Japanese...and we have the naughty subtitles. Honestly, who wrote those? 🤣
Looks great. Have a happy new year mate.
i love the subtitles lol. also this onsen looks amazing
I was not prepared for the jokes in the subtitles and almost choked 🤣 Good stuff, Rissotero.
Happy New Year, man.. all the best for 2024 😂❤🎉🎉 and how you say less youtubers... and you show Chris 😂😂😂 nice one man... well done👍
Awesome video wish I saw this sooner. We are staying in Yuzawa in March. Thanks for all the great videos.
All the details add up to a beautiful experience ❄️
✨️Happy New Year, everyone!✨️
Wow, I see that steak and greens dish and just wish it had another of those onigiri with it because I feel like that would just elevate it again.
I understand a bit of Nihonggo but the subtitles are so funny! first video in 2024 that made me laugh a lot hahahahaha
What an amazing establishment
Just wanted to say you have a really great and well-rounded personality. Looking forward to eventually moving into Japan :)
Love all of your videos. Really hope when my wife and I make it to Japan we get to meet you!
STUNNING!
This is just a dream, so lovely! Thanks for sharing.
Excellent Ryokan at Ryugon for Ryotaro... wait ...
Oh wow! We get a video right before new years? Awesome, and great video! Happy new years Ryotaro!
Excellent video innit mate 👏
Nice video and Happy New Year
@12:33 "But culture is more about how people lived""~ speaking facts right here.
“Did I stutter…?” 😂😂😂😂✌🏽👍🏽
Man this would look amazing in winter
The private onsen has a really fresh view toward the nature too.
Stunning accommodation.
you never disappoint in choosing new places to go... damn good... happy new year ryotaro!!!!! hope to see more....
Genuinely looks amazing, food and location! And a free drink?! Definitely worth a visit!
That is my tactics make people remember my name. Hope you enjoy your free sake when you visit.
Your videos are amazing mate, really love the documentary, yet, personal touch.
Finding out you are Chris' de facto boss was the funniest thing about his book
Ryotoro is definitely the coolest uncle we all need
love these uploads Ryotaro keep it up, these travel videos are some of the best parts of my day
I love Ryotaro's subtitles :')
I swear, half of the appeal of your videos are the creative subtitles 😂
Beautiful we all can dream
The English subtitles are hilarious. I wish I could speak Japanese so I could know if that’s really what is being said. 😂
Nice place. Missed a trick at dinner. Ball of rice, snow.
these videos always keep the translation real.
The best hôtel of Japan ? Mume Hôtel in Kyoto. Hisako-San is a pearl.
Yes looks amazing. I like Kyushu for Onsens, where I am currently, but as I live in Kanto , Niigata is accessible to me. I hate cold hence my love of Kyushu but snow is always beautiful so I will try coming while still winter .
My next video is going be about Onsen in Kyushu with a special guest. Hope you like it!
@@RyotarosJapan I’m sure I will. Today I am riding a local train to Oita, stopping at Nobeoka along the way. Beautiful scenery.
I do plan to live in the country side of Japan because it's more peaceful without so much people around and I love peace
I like how Ryotaro called Chris a "Muppet" in good old British slang fashion.
I prefer Ubuya, but views of Mt Fuji can be fickle. Happy new year🎉
Gotta love that reference intro animation in the beginning
Happy new Year mate ;)
I absolutely loved the subtitles😅
wow, this place look awesome
jelly af!
I live for ryotaro's hilarious captions
Niigata isn't in Tohoku! To go from Niigata to Morioka I had to take the shinkansen all the way back to Omiya in Saitama. It was quicker than taking a bus straight across.
But it's worth going to Niigata anyway. The food is especially good.
i wish Chris or you Ryo would need a french guy on the tour. ive always wanted to discover japan. now approaching 40 i wonder if its too late
😂 how many takes was that final “see you in the next video”? I bet it was like 5 or so! Love the videos and keep up the good work!!
Looks so good
I like Ryatoro 😊 great content
This feels like exactly how affable lad Chris Broad would subtitle a video lol did he do this?
That beef looks spectacular
"Alright bruv."
The editor is having a ball with this. Is it Chris who's editing? 😂😂😂
The Japanese-to-English captions are hilarious.
'Konichiwa onegaishimaaaasu' - translation 'alright bruv' 🤣🤣🤣
What a beautiful place Niigata is, and what an amazing Ryokan, when I finally make my way to Japan I will make it a stop on my travels.

Yes I agree Ryugon stay is very nice. I love it . But food wise, they need to improve.
