Glad so many people are enjoying their MKII's so far. Unfortunately, both myself and someone in my local club seemed to have received sub-optimal performing MK-II's (low 100 fps on Pro darts). Luckily, Dart Zone is taking care of us and want the blasters for testing and QC. That does suck since we have to send the blasters back but it's nice to see them taking an interest in quality control. Looking forward to seeing what others will be doing with theirs.
J would But I only have a nerf war 1s a year where I live so I only have a few pistols type blasters and a few spring blasters which a friend gave us for free
You literally read my mind. I would LOVE a low power spring. I played (pre pandemic) indoor games at my college and the fps on this makes it way to rough in close range.
Mine just arrived an hour ago. Love it. I could run an entire dart zone load out. A low power spring would be good so my kids could prime it and get one.
Instead of a low power spring, you should design a muzzle or muzzle insert that functions as a scar. I have replaced the faux barrel in the muzzle with a worker scar, but the rifling on that is quite aggressive and lowers the FPS a bit too much.
@@MrRimant Sorry, I don't have a chrono but the darts go noticeably less far in distance tests. The scar requires modification to fit in the muzzle, but it is in there tightly and doesn't wobble.
Why do I feel like Luke will go mad and remove the priming handle and make a proton pack for it then put a geared jupiter motor to auto prime it to make a full auto sidearm...
Hasbro makes stuff that you can mod (well ignoring elite 0.2 and alpha strike) Dart zone makes stuff that you don't need to mod because it's already awesome
I think a low power spring would be great in case people want the blaster but play in an indoor environment. That ways they can still use the blaster without leaving welts on people when they get shot.
That or rubber core, foam tip darts. ...why, apart from stability issues, haven't foam dart projector makers use foam tipped darts in the first place? It's kinda missing the point of using foam in the first place.
Great video! This might just be me but I felt like the montage was a little long at the beginning. I personally appreciate the b-roll sprinkled throughout the video, but the video quality is really good either way! I'm excited to hopefully pick one of these up and have some fun with it!
That muzzle will definitely be used to house brass barreling to alleviate the dart drop out that can happen with AFP darts, and offer a bit tighter seal and range!
There is one simple explenation for the high performance out of the small PT volume Luke... The PT ‘is’ the pusher and therefore there is NO dead space whatsoever. I am sure this is the reason (besides the perfect O-ring inside the PT with optimal spring combination for a speedy return of the PH.)
A long trigger pull will be needed for a double action to work. Given how hard it shoots, the trigger pull may be very hard. It may be hard enough to require two hands or fingers to pull.
Me the First 15 seconds of this video: “Oh that looks nifty! Hey a buy link! I’ll check this out! 80 dollars!? “Half darts!?” Guess I’ll just watch this quality video from out of darts then.
Yeah. That's wonderfully affordable for what you're getting stock out of the box. Try to find any other foam blaster of this quality, performance, and compatability in this price range. You can't.
I’m glad you brought up the uncomfortable grip, it does dig the thumb area when priming which is not ideal since the grip is where tension is most at. The grip is disappointing because I love the MK 1.1 grip so much, but the grip quality downgraded. Another thing I don’t like is the “stopper” on the prime slide, it’s distracting while aiming with the iron sights and makes it stick out a little bit when the rest of the blaster remains a slender profile.
Awesome video, I would buy a spring that hits 120 to 125 fps for my local game and Endwar, and 100fps spring for playing with kids. Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see what you come up with. Oh by the way I'd love to see a rocket attachment for the proud papa or a similarly small blaster made to fire rockets that can mount in the same ways.
It’s weird that your blaster hits worse with the adventure force darts which is completely contrary to Drac’s and Buff Daddy, hopefully these inconsistencies aren’t common because I really think this blaster will be my go to
Nice review. I haven't had any soreness from at the webbing of my thumb, but I did get a rub on my middle finger knuckle from the trigger guard when playing with it briefly last night. Today I've fired a dozen or so magazines full and no rubbing, I think I just adjusted my grip a little to compensate. I'm hoping you'll come up with some form of Scar barrel, as people are saying maybe to fit inside the muzzle break.
Hi so this pro mk2 works fine with worker purple darts. Do you face problem when sometimes the worker purple darts are likely to slipped out from the barell even when we dont shoot it ?
The real steel term for those quick-reloaders would be "charger(s)." This is a very clever way to make a magazine-fed dart pistol work. Using the short darts you can fit it into the grip, and taking a page from vintage firearms like the Mauser C96, Roth-Steyr/Krnka, and Steyr M1912 by loading from the top, you still have quick reloads but without the bulk of a detachable magazine. Dart Zone keeps killing it with each release! Pedantic alert: I've heard some people refer to them as "strippers" or "stripper clips," but in American english, at least, it is indeed a charger. This is because the darts are, enclosed and you're acting on them via proxy with that follower, rather than pushing them with your thumb. I know, in British english Stripper Clip and Charger are synonymous, but shh :)
The one mod I'm really curious to see folks try out as more of these get in people's hands are mods to the capacity. Obviously would result in a longer grip, and I don't think there's enough room in there for any sort of magazine / clip system to be modded in. But it seems doable to cut the bottom and 3d print an extended grip of sorts to get more than the 6 rounds in there.
I agree with you on the firearm aspects, it's a bit close for comfort. I think it's just an unfortunate consequence of how small it is and the way they did the magazine, i don't know many other ways they could do it without making it bulky or bulbous, etc.
I'd really like to see a SCAR barrel that can be installed in the muzzle break for this blaster. I've been told by a squadmate that the faux barrel comes out after taking the muzzle break apart, so potentially there could be a scar to replace it to bring the FPS down slightly? That way it would be right around 120-130, rather than potentially just barely outshooting the FPS caps at most HvZs.
I was already looking into this before I had to send my blaster back to DZ.... was a dud? A 3d printed SCAR would fit super easy into the muzzle OR you could just trim down a Worker SCAR. I was thinking of putting a slightly extended barrel in and using a Worker SCAR.
@@VileMods That'd definitely be interesting! I'm going to do some experimentation with mine once I get one. I think it'll be quite a bit of fun to have! Hopefully doing an extended barrel doesn't bump the FPS up too high though. What do you mean by it was a dud? Did it not just fire? What part wasn't working right?
@@Bacon_Duck_13 So me and one of the guys in my local club both got under performing blasters (low 100 fps on Pro darts). Weird cause the others in our group had stellar performance out of theirs.

Great video. The only thing I can think of is extending that grip and the speed loaders to increase capacity ... I know that means cutting the beautiful shell though 😢. Keep up the great work sir
And I find the grip to feel pretty comfortable, when I kept priming back the Aeon Pro it was easy but it did tear off a small piece of my hand, this grip resembles my firearms, my Beretta 9mm and my 6 Hour, my actual firearms, and this grip is actually similar and it feels like im John Wick, like a badass.
My opinion is I like the Firearms design decisions. It means it's optimized the for the end user. Like airsoft don't be a moron and flash it around. Means you can't be careless anymore.
I know it's not the answer that you're looking for, but: the best safety glasses are the ones that are comfortable. Last time I checked, Lowe's has a PPE section with various glasses you can try on. You don't have to buy from there, but you can at least test fit and comfort.

As someone who got theirs just two days ago, yes. If you set up an account with Target they'll send you a notification when it's in stock, if it's not in stock rn.
I can't recommend Worker short darts for this. I shot 30 each of the included bamboo darts, Dart Zone Pro (orange head, black body) darts, and Worker darts, at 50' range at a 3' high by 2' wide catching net. Result: Bamboo: 25/30 caught, DZ Pro 23/30 caught, Worker 0/30 caught. They are seriously that bad, and that was after I removed the obviously bad ones with the heads not glued on straight. My worker darts were bought a couple of years ago but have not been used. Unless they're changed the design or improved manufacturing consistency, don't bother.
@@jellogiant I think gen 2, certainly not gen 3. I have the original boxes they came in but nothing on them to confirm generation. Tips are unevenly glued, and some have excess glue on the foam. Maybe Gen 3 worker darts are better, but now we have the bamboo and Dart Zone Pro short darts I won't be buying Worker darts. I do have six Worker banana magazines which I love, and are really good quality.
It's awesome but there's no way a lot of people can afford that price for a pistol. Not when the Aeon Pro is $25. Is Target just greedy or what? I don't understand why this is so expensive.
