I agree 100%. I really have a massive problem with the front end. It is just too complicated, too big and too much black. But, there are cars that have part of that head lamp unit painted to the body colour which is a lot better. On top of that, the front end air intakes are just terrible when you can see the radiators so clearly. They didn't even try to hide them. To me, the Revuelto lacks attention to details. I didn’t like the side intake until I saw the same shape on jets. Look it up, everything makes more sense after that. The top shape that splits and leads into the exhausts is very similar too jets as well.
I see what you're talking about, but a fighter jet gets wider as you go back, this looks like a rectangular f22 or something. The McLaren F1 is just the cockpit and that looks better to me
@@realherobrine5636 your missing the point. Where do you think inspiration comes from? Lamborghini specifically has drawn much of their design language from aircrafts. It’s openly said this for years. American cars in the 60s where as well. You must not know much about car design to make a comment like that.
@@realherobrine5636 the Revuelto is by no means my favorite Lamborghini. I’m simply filling in gap’s explaining what Lamborghini may have been thinking when designing this automobile. Sometimes the intention can completely change your outlook on the design. The Citroen Oli is perfect evidence of this. At first I thought it was a hideous car but then I listened to the designers. Apparently every part on that car is put there to maximize production efficiency. The windscreen is flat and upright because that’s the cheapest way to produce it. Now it’s not so ugly but instead a beautiful solution to a problem.
@@realherobrine5636he’s right. This is a incredible ignorant statement to make. Cars have always drawn much from aircraft’s. The Honda NSX greenhouse design was inspired by jet cockpits.
The Aventador is simply dated. It's chunky and the headlight housing and taillights are kinda ugly tbh. It looks fat from all angles and its side air intake adds to the bloated look. People simply can't let go of their bias and admit that the newcomer is an overall improvement in design. The Revuelto looks much more aggressive from every angle, especially from the rear and side profile (the curved shoulder and heightened diffuser/exhaust). Further, the topline/roofline flowing into the fighter jet exhaust and spoiler is perfection. You can also opt to add body color to the part below the headlights which really alleviates the "too much black" issue you talked about. My one modification would be to black out or remove the downwards short piece of the Y-shaped headlights to create a sleeker L-shaped headlight.
I agree, and for me, it's the Aventador all the way. These are the problems I have with the Revuelto The Front: - The front end has too much black in it, it needs body panel coloring to give it some shape, it looks unfinished right now with those big gaping holes - It also has too much of a huracan front end, which makes it look like a baby lambo. The Side: - From the side, the intake area splits the car in half where the front end looks like it has forward motion (leaning down and forward), but then the rear end breaks that lean, and looks like a different car was tacked on at the end. - Also the body color paneling makes it look like the car is 'naked' from behind, like it's missing a back bumper. It makes it look uprooted. The back: - From the back, the car doesn't look planted at all (specially because the diffusers are black) - The exhaust breaks the clean lines of the wing and again uproots the car Finally, the interior - I looks modern, but I LOVE the physical buttons! I really dislike everything being a screen, there is no more 'feel' to anything. It's all just touch screen. I like to push and pull knobs, to twist and rotate dials, not a fkn touch screen - the interior also looks more faminine in the Revuelto - too many smooth lines. Very disappointed with the Revuelto. I was ready, money in hand, to put down an order for the new V12 Lambo. But for me, i'm going with Aventador Ultimae or S
Ever since I knew the Aventador and Huracán I was wondering if they would be able to improve those perfect lines. Well...they couldn't. 😅 I like the Revuelto, but it doesn't reach that sublime level.
Idk if it was just me personally but I never really liked the huracan. It had a lot of room for improvement, I saw a build with more aggressive headlights and a wide body and it looked significantly better . They can probably still build upon it
I don’t think the Revuelto is ugly. In fact, I kinda like the sharper design (reminds me of my all time favorite car in the Countach). The problem is trying to fill the absolutely massive shoes that the Aventador wore.
Though that was a extremely basic design with every derivation like the flares and vents being purely concessions. This is as far from that as possible.
I can totally see what you’re thinking, but I have to disagree about the side intake. Although there is a bit of a zig zag pattern that I don’t really like, I still think the side intake helps create some dynamic movement when looking at the profile view. If you notice, the side intake uses the angles to form an arrow shape, pointing forward. It also connects directly to the shoulder line. That arrow helps to make the intake more dynamic, since it gives it a sleek, forward-moving shape. The Aventador may have more traditional lineflow techniques that we all know and love, but the Revuelto presents new design DNA for Lamborghini. It’s meant to be the start of a new era, paving the way for other new models like the Huracan successor.
And u saw the CRAP UGLY huracan successor🤣 BOTH AVENTADOR and HURACAN are 100× times better anything rivuelto and that horrible thing will ever be.PERIOD
I couldn't agree more, when the Aventador was released, my jaw hit the floor. That definitely wasn't the case with this new Lamborghini. I want to like it but it's way too busy.
The front of the Aventador is better but the back of the Revuelto is better side is Aventador better. So what we really need is an Aventador with a Revuelto back😂
What crack are you smoking the back of the aventador is art the back of this looks like an autistic kid tried drawing a sports car rear end if anything the front is better then the aventador and the rear of the aventador is better then revuelto it looks like a brick with pig nostrils and some cheap led lights you’d find in some gay wanna be tiktokers room
I agree that the side intake is the worst part of Revuelto. I’d also say engine cover looks kind of messy and overstyled. I find interior very disappointing and kind of old fashioned, the tablet sticking out from steering wheel just looks out of place. But overall the design is still true to the Lamborghini DNA and Revuelto will be a successful model no doubt.
Remember when the Aventador came out… everyone was like “Murcielago is waaay better in any way comparable”., remember when the Huracan first debuted? Everyone was like “Gallardo is timeless and classic”… all the so-called experts opinion 😅
honestly the real problem for both Revuelto & Aventador is the new C8 Corvettes. The Vettes look identical if not better. Why better they are as fast, and cost 6 times less at $100k. Want to throw a stone that would make a better story how America design beats Italian for the first time in years.
@@paratokat8587 Hey as a current 1962 vette owner I agree with you. The Vette has completely lost any resemblance to itself today! Corvettes are front engine cars period.
In my opinion, Aventador is still the best design from Lamborghini, which has the perfect balance between sharp edges and elegant curves. It looks striking and stylish, but not overly-done. Revuelto is too messy and immature. It looks like a design study from a graduate student.
100% agree, when I first saw the Revuelto I didn't love it and it still hasn't grown on me. The side vent and the front large black areas are the detractors. The interior is leaps and bounds better than before though
One thing that is ever ongoing is the floating center screen or instrument cluster. It feels like an afterthought. LOVE the center screen here. Yet the instrument cluster looks like a billboard. It really needs a shroud that integrates into the dash. Not crazy about the open engine bay. Rest of the car is amazing. The Aventador was a spaceship. It's almost timeless. I could easily see the Aventador being the Revueltos replacement design. They both look good. Lamborghini has been knocking it out of the park since they dropped the Huracan, Aventador and Urus. I wasn't a Lambo fan until those three cars came out. Make that four. This looks good.
Are Lamborghinis supposed to be beautiful? I don't believe their design teams are concerned with beauty? I think their concern revolves more around shock! New car, definitely a design that shocks. I love it!
I would say svj looks much better than revuelto It looks bulky where as svj is very well planted look Mainly with front end Having body colored pannel below headlight will help with it
People will say that they prefer the Aventador's design now, but years later they'll learn to appreciate the Revuelto's design more and more once we get further into its production cycle. It's all a matter of waiting until you see the car in person. As for me, I personally prefer the way the Revuelto looks. I think it looks more sophisticated compared to the Aventador. This is not to say I don't love the Aventador, I absolutely love it. But the Revuelto looks a lot smoother/cleaner in its profile compared to the Aventador in my opinion. I also wouldn't say that Lamborghinis are known to necessarily be beautiful cars in the traditional sense of car design but instead, they have a badass and functional design. Side note, you can add body color to the panels below the headlights to decrease the amount of visual black trim in the front end.
0:17 Um, I love the reference to the F35!!!! Was it actually inspiration to some degree or are they graphics you put together? I find the same brilliance and aesthetic appeal in aircraft design
One thing that is undeniable about Lamborghini models, with few exceptions they age well and gracefully. A Lamborghini released two decades ago still looks fairly modern. It's not as easy to say that about some Ferrari models, in my opinion. I don't expect the Revuelto to have any diminished longevity compared to its present or former siblings despite its somewhat controversial appearance. It definitely lacks the finesse of the Aventador but I think it makes up for it with its boldness. Especially the rear. If there's any part of the Revuelto that is undeniably superior to its predecessor in my eyes it's that stunning rear view. It appears that Lamborghini wanted to break the mould with the design of the Revuelto intake and decided on something never seen before. Most intakes are either straight-sided or have a shape that curves/angles rearward. Never the reverse. The Revuelto has an intake that protrudes far *forward* like an arrow or spearhead. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have never seen another manufacturer take this approach to a side intake. Like it or not (I'm undecided until I see it in person) it is _different._ There's no mistaking this for any other Lamborghini. It will be very interesting to see what they do for the Huracan replacement.
No point, simplicity is timeless, much like a button less smartphone will always be modern looking regardless if it’s 2005 or 2030, but then you run the risk of being a bit boring, so you need to add more detail, but every detail draws ideas from what’s on your mind at the time that can keep the product stuck as firmly from that time period. The Gallardo is a very simple wedge car and didn’t age, but modern cars are pushing sharp corners and cramped led lights everywhere that’s becoming very derivative. Find a modern car that doesn’t have rear lights as just tiny strips, you’ll be looking for a while.
The only thing that comes to mind,is that the side intake reminds me of the new corvette. And that's fine on a corvette....but you don't need reminding on a Lamborghini. I think they got the new countach just right.
Revuelto is an awesome design and an evolution. I wasnt entirely ready to move on from the Merci when the Aventador dropped but now thats history. Eventual Rev SVJ will be godly.
Those front "y" lights throw it off to me. Alos the rear bull halo its silly IMO. Lastly, the organ launch color isn't the more flattering color on the car IMO.
Idk if anybody thinks the same but the front of the Revuelto almost gives the appearances of a copy and paste job on the part of the designers from the Sian before it. I would have liked a bit more originality there cos honestly it just looks like they're playing it a bit too safe.
Honestly, your breakdown with features and body lines, I couldn't agree more.. when it first came out and looked at it for the first time, everything you said was what I was thinking.. the front end is a big disappointment that feels unfinished and rushed.. the side intakes don't have that same proportional aggressiveness .. the only part I liked was the exhaust placement similar to how McLaren has been designing theirs.. I hope they address the front end by adding different body colored inserts in future renditions. Great video!!
I totally understand what the argument here is but they redesigned it that way because if you look at the angles and lines it follows just about every other hyper car on the planet. AKA there's something about the shape of that body that travels through the air better than other designs.
I feel like this being the replacment for the aventador is fitting. Just wish the Asterion would join it in the line up. Two lambos, both awd hybrids, one a v10, the other a v12. A match made in heaven. I know the asterion is a miura concept, not a gallardo homage but it would be dope if they were the front line cars for this generation of lambo since "green" is the new push
Yeah, they should make a v10 hybrid instead of the lanzador, which is basically what the asterion seems to have turned into. It’d be good to have one last v10 production car at least
The logical replacement for the Aventador is the Invencible & Authentica Roadster. However, the reason the Revuelto looks different is because Lamborghini probably has a new Design Director.
Good day! I see it differently. The Revuelto is finally the exciting nimble car that was missing. The overhangs are visually lighter, the ascending line of the rear one is pure joy to me. The Aventador looks like a beautifully chiselled anvil in comparison. Again the Revuelto looks like an action car rather than a low tank or an armoured fast boat. I’m aware this is subjective and I appreciate the way you argument your critics. That said, I totally love the dark matter/blank space in the front and rear.
Aventador is more beautiful but the Revuelto is far more aggressive and modern. It looks like a sport bike from the side with that large black portion at the back.
What is fast becoming ridiculous cost is the issue. Are Lambo’s now only for filthy rich? After having had three different ones, guess what I now have…a Z06 and love it with features never available in Lambo’s.
The Aventador is one of the best looking Lamborghinis ever made, in my opinion. I still think the Revuelto is the perfect successor to the Aventador. It has enough Lamborghini traits that let's you know it's a Lamborghini, but it does things differently, and i think in some cases better. The only thing i wasn't sure about the new Revuelto was the rear end, but after some time it grew on me, it fit's the car perfectly from every angle.
i honestly thought i was going to come here for an analysis of the Revuelto design in a vaccuum. and then he started the video with "i want to talk about why i think the aventador has a better design" like yeah no shit dude we already know, nothing can top the original Aventador design
I actually like the busier look of the Revuelto a little more because it leans even more into the cyberpunk anime fighter jet aesthetic. I like my Lambos crazy.
In my opinion, the new Lambo is an Aventador with different body kit... i dont know why it seems like that, mayb3 because there have been sooo many off shoots of the Aventador or using it as a basis...
The aventador and the 458 are so timeless everything after just feels like a minor improvement to modernize. I believe that was the greatest generation of pure naturally aspirated super cars
The new car just looks like some silly Japanese aftermarket body kit was added to the Aventador. If anything, it would have been both more attention grabbing and later more timeless if they went LESS busy than the Aventador. Imagine if they came out with something where all the aero was more integrated and less obvious, but still had the same perfect proportions… Seems like they missed the opportunity. Something more philosophically like the Asterion concept, but the same general shape of the Aventador.
My initial thought and it still is this. Lamborghini has created a reputation for releasing special editions lateley where they are drastically changing the body work espcially on thr aventatador chassis. I believe the first iteration of the revuelto is actually designed to have and aggressive and controversial design language that force the public to get used to their mew design language. Then ultimatley as they release new versions aof the revuelto they use better design language like they did for the later versions of the aventador platform. We know they are capable of truly amazing and beautiful cars so to release such a controversial and dare i say garish design language on there base model begs the question "why?" And i believe its to upsell and sand bag the later models and prime us for whats to come. Remember that side vent styling is just a few clips brackets and a quarter panel mold away from being drastically different. Just look at what they did on the scoop design language on the aventador from the base model all the way to the svj. And it was such a simple change in just the molding around the intake vent. Also fyi your video makes me wish i actually dedicated myself to attending thr pasedena art center of design. But i never thought id make it to a good job. I figured id be stuck designing door handles for camrys😅

I see what you're talking about, but a fighter jet gets wider as you go back, this looks like a rectangular f22 or something. The McLaren F1 is just the cockpit and that looks better to me
yes but this is not a jet lol
These are the problems I have with the Revuelto
The Front:
- The front end has too much black in it, it needs body panel coloring to give it some shape, it looks unfinished right now with those big gaping holes
- It also has too much of a huracan front end, which makes it look like a baby lambo.
The Side:
- From the side, the intake area splits the car in half where the front end looks like it has forward motion (leaning down and forward), but then the rear end breaks that lean, and looks like a different car was tacked on at the end.
- Also the body color paneling makes it look like the car is 'naked' from behind, like it's missing a back bumper. It makes it look uprooted.
The back:
- From the back, the car doesn't look planted at all (specially because the diffusers are black)
- The exhaust breaks the clean lines of the wing and again uproots the car
Finally, the interior
- I looks modern, but I LOVE the physical buttons! I really dislike everything being a screen, there is no more 'feel' to anything. It's all just touch screen. I like to push and pull knobs, to twist and rotate dials, not a fkn touch screen
- the interior also looks more faminine in the Revuelto - too many smooth lines.
The problem is trying to fill the absolutely massive shoes that the Aventador wore.
i agree 100%
And u saw the CRAP UGLY huracan successor🤣
BOTH AVENTADOR and HURACAN are 100× times better anything rivuelto and that horrible thing will ever be.PERIOD
I was not a fan on release, I assumed it would grow on me and it’s only worse.
I couldn't agree more, when the Aventador was released, my jaw hit the floor. That definitely wasn't the case with this new Lamborghini. I want to like it but it's way too busy.
The shoulder line in the New one is too low, making it feel relaxed. I like the tension in the Aventadors side view, it just fits better
Let’s not forget the Murcielago, in my opinion the best of them all.
Yes
I love Murcielago too, that was realy the last truley and real Lamborghini! Aventador sucks, Revuelto too!
@@martinblazekovic3619Aventador is still good mate. Idk what you have against it, but id like to hear your perspective and thoughts
Remember when the Aventador came out… everyone was like “Murcielago is waaay better in any way comparable”., remember when the Huracan first debuted? Everyone was like “Gallardo is timeless and classic”… all the so-called experts opinion 😅
The Revuelto looks like 💩 that's the difference
@@dybixs1400 yes exactly my point., i recall around 2012 when aventador came out they commented and said it looks like total 💩 too!
I agree. If only we had the Aventador design with the Revuelto powertrain
Oh thank god, it's not just me. I thought something was off about the Revuelto, thank you for putting words to it.
I think 🤔 the new Lamborghini is a good design but the side is off in a way of styling that will be dated the previous cars are better in my opinion 😊
honestly the real problem for both Revuelto & Aventador is the new C8 Corvettes. The Vettes look identical if not better. Why better they are as fast, and cost 6 times less at $100k. Want to throw a stone that would make a better story how America design beats Italian for the first time in years.
New vette looks very poor. They destroyed the identity of corvette and made it a wanna be european supercar design but it looks just very cheap.
@@paratokat8587 Hey as a current 1962 vette owner I agree with you. The Vette has completely lost any resemblance to itself today! Corvettes are front engine cars period.
@@willstar1579 Wow keep it up mate, the 1962 vette is a beautiful piece of art!
In my opinion, Aventador is still the best design from Lamborghini, which has the perfect balance between sharp edges and elegant curves. It looks striking and stylish, but not overly-done. Revuelto is too messy and immature. It looks like a design study from a graduate student.
you simply cannot tell which one is most recent!
The Aventador is a masterpiece, but the Revuelto is growing on me...
Are Lamborghinis supposed to be beautiful? I don't believe their design teams are concerned with beauty? I think their concern revolves more around shock! New car, definitely a design that shocks. I love it!
Then they would have sold the Egoista and Veneno as their primary models
9:41 You can untick the option to black out the part underneath the headlights. It then becomes bodycolor
I think it looks better when its body colored
The front is better and then as you go towards the rear of the car it just gets progressively worse. The rear-end looks like complete nonsense
I would say svj looks much better than revuelto
It looks bulky where as svj is very well planted look
Mainly with front end
Having body colored pannel below headlight will help with it
I never doubted that the Aventador is waaaaaay more beautiful.
I was expecting something on the new Fisker but this is also nice
Revuelto isn't going to age well.
And again, LP640 is peak Lambo design.
Exhaust placement is the problem tho. Going higher from road surface makes it lost the howling that we used to hear from Aventador.
Nah I really think the revuelto looks more agressive
My 2 Problems:
1) The flying buttresses. The
car's silouette would look so
much better without it.
2) Those puny tail lights.
0:17 Um, I love the reference to the F35!!!! Was it actually inspiration to some degree or are they graphics you put together? I find the same brilliance and aesthetic appeal in aircraft design
From a promotional video by Lamborghini. ua-cam.com/video/viW44cUfxCE/v-deo.html
If you look at revuelto from the back when brake lights are on it creates a bull like figure, idk if you knew that but its cool feature
The fact that a design that came out in 2011/2012 still looks modern says a-lot about Lamborghinis Design
Lamborghini is my favorite car brand and they lost me completely. Less is more, Lamborghini, less is more.
Except Lamborghini's design language is literally more is more.
But their buyers like this crappy design. Just look as Urus sells.
so, nobody is gonna talk about the steering wheel glowup?
Love the Revuelto but i just dislike the rear engine cover. Because it is too long
One thing that is undeniable about Lamborghini models, with few exceptions they age well and gracefully.
The Revuelto sketches look better than the real thing
U can get the front end blacked out areas in body colour and it looks wayy better
Murcielago and Gallardo were simply superior to their successors from a design perspective. Can't change my mind.
Looks kind of like the new corvette especially from the side but it looks great not as great as the Aventador for me though.
The only thing that comes to mind,is that the side intake reminds me of the new corvette. And that's fine on a corvette....but you don't need reminding on a Lamborghini. I think they got the new countach just right.
The Aventador is the best designed supercar of all time. It just doesn't age!!
If i will pick the reveaulto and sf90. I will pick the Lamborghini just for the v12
Clearly the new design has some weakness compared to the old one, I'm quite dissapointed...
Tbh I thought the sian should've been the replacement
The last interesting lamborghini für me was the hurracan. The new ones are just shizzled with brute, edgy lines, no elegance whatsoever
The reveliuto thing looks 7.5/10 , the aventador 10/10
Happy to see I'm not the only one that think the design of the Revuelto isn't as good as the Aventador.
Agreed, I still feel that the LP700-4 is the most beautiful Lamborghini ever.
Aventador is the face of Lamborghini
That singular roofline would go smoothly through the automatic car wash.
Aventador is more beautiful but the Revuelto is far more aggressive and modern. It looks like a sport bike from the side with that large black portion at the back.
That's why my vote goes to the Revvy, i love the aggressive look.
The 458 Italia and the Gallardo or Huracan were the last of the beautiful supercars from these two brands
What is fast becoming ridiculous cost is the issue. Are Lambo’s now only for filthy rich? After having had three different ones, guess what I now have…a Z06 and love it with features never available in Lambo’s.
I think it would look better if they gave it the styling of the Temerario instead.
the revuelto design is smooth, curvy. the aventador is a beast of design, agressive, i prefer the aventator
Don't think I'll ever like that exhaust placement. Big miss imo
And technology and interior
In my opinion, the new Lambo is an Aventador with different body kit... i dont know why it seems like that, mayb3 because there have been sooo many off shoots of the Aventador or using it as a basis...
I wanna see you discuss the evolution of the live action BatMobile designs
my worry is how the SV and S renditions will look... i just cant imagine it
I need to watch this video before sleeping… not as good as falling rain sound but sure not bad 😴 😂
The aventador and the 458 are so timeless everything after just feels like a minor improvement to modernize. I believe that was the greatest generation of pure naturally aspirated super cars
Not only that, Agera rs and 675lt were also goated. I personally thing 488 is better than 458 tho
It's nice. But it's more like a facelift than a whole new design. They should make the Embolado.
Old = masterpiece, new = a hot mess
Why that centre console look like a 90s hifi?
The new car just looks like some silly Japanese aftermarket body kit was added to the Aventador. If anything, it would have been both more attention grabbing and later more timeless if they went LESS busy than the Aventador. Imagine if they came out with something where all the aero was more integrated and less obvious, but still had the same perfect proportions… Seems like they missed the opportunity. Something more philosophically like the Asterion concept, but the same general shape of the Aventador.
That side profile looks so much like a c8 it’s crazy
