As a Russian viewer, very much interested in history of this madness that's going on right now, I try to watch Col. Wilkerson on all channels he visits. He is a remarkable person, wise and humane. I wish he could read my opinion on him - he really helps me to not loose respect to Americans, especially involved in politics.

BTW ..."Violate their lies," that's a great phase to describe what Assange did.

Why does Wilkerson never miss a chance to bring up the US National Debt and the USD cost to service it? How the heck is it either a cause or a symptom of the very real problem of the US Empire? It is entirely denominated in unpegged fiat USD of which the US Govt (and its agents) is the sole self-authorized issuer and net supplier.

Because he's a conservative, and it's a conservative shibboleth. The national debt is a symptom of capitalism and capitalism is the biggest cause of the US empire. Interest on that debt needs to be paid down by borrowing, and the result is an upward transfer of wealth of working-class dollars to the capitalist class. But Wilkerson wouldn't broach that subject, being a lifelong faithful supporter of the capitalist class despite not being a part of that class.

Because when all that money comes back home, you will have a REAL 1 000% inflation or more. (some mathematician's talk about 20 000%). When other countries will stop buying US debt, the value of the dollar will drop as fast as Germany in the 30's.
Remember wheel barrels worth more then the money piled in it? People would stole the wheel barrel and leave the money in it.
What you forget, is that each dollars of debt printed HAVE TO BE BOUGHT by another country, company, or found. When they stop buying, it becomes toilet paper. Good luck buying bread, or put gas in your car.

Stavros - what you have said is essentially the MMT line verbatim, yet MMT also claims that the Fed raising the interest rate is inflationary because debt service payments increase. So is there or is there not a consequence for exploding debt?

@@a.randomjack6661 I get that, but my point was that the money that a couple hundred million Americans have been paying into SS and Medicare is a lot of money and shows up on the balance sheet as debt for the federal government
