    I agree with this timeline more or less. Here's a few other related theories I came up with based on Enkanomiya lore:
    1. The Water Dragonheir of the Seven Sovereigns is stated to be reborn as a human. I believe we've already met this human: its Kokomi Sangonomiya. Her con is called Sleeping Dragoness and her mermaid design is a reference to the 'koi fish becomes dragon' legend (Watatsumi has koi statues too). This is why I consider Kokomi to be the Water Dragonheir. It's possible that Azhdaha and Dvalin are the Geo and Anemo Dragonheirs too.
    2. The four shades of Phanes are Ishtaroth/God of Time, Asmoday/Unknown God, Paimon, and a fourth god. Or, it's possible that Asmoday is Phanes itself, and Paimon is also a separate Celestial being.
    3. If Celestia is an extradimemsional entity, that supports my theory that the gods of Teyvat and elemental energy are not the same as but analogous to the Houkai of Honkai Impact. The Before Sun and Moon book mentions a time period known as tge Year of the Ark, and that's either an actual ark or perhaps a spaceship containing humanity's remnants to be remade on a foreign world (fitting in nicely with the Project Ark theory) I don't expect a crossover anytime soon tho between Genshin and Honkai.
    Damn maybe I should make genshin lore theories too

      I like these theories. It's possible that Azhdaha and Osial are remnants of the original dragon sovereigns. Check out some of the dialogue from Jiu again and Azhdaha's general titles, he might have a longer history before Morax gave him a new form and sight. Look at the items we received for defeating Beisht too (items we also receive from bathysmal vishaps). Now that Osial is gone for good based on Beisht's activity, it might be interesting to see if Kokomi receives newfound attention from the vishaps.

      There is mention of phanes in travelar's character details: the keeper is fading away, the creator has not yet come. So I assume that the creator here is the phane. Since they created humanity in tevyat so they are called the creator. As for keeper I think it is asmoday (unknown god) cuz There was a translation mihoyo did in the character details. Originally the travelar character details was 'sustainer is fading away instead of the 'Keeper'. Idk why mihoyo changed it to keeper. So your theory might be true. Asmoday, paimon and istaroth is one of the four shades. Or maybe paimon is one of the three moon sisters and they are also one of the four shades of phanes.

      I like to call your 1rst point the: "Kokomi is a Magikarp" theory . From a gameplay perspective, the fact that she has negative crit rate may be associated with the fact that she is not at full power yet .
      I thought about that since the release of Watatsumi and the lore of the Sangonomiya bloodline. I was pleasently surprised when Enkanomiya gave the theory a lot more ground to stand.

    Seelie civilization timeline is weird, you could argue they were around "when gods roamed the earth" as they guided humans and could have been described as angels, _but_ their civilization sprawled out of Teyvat and into the Dark Sea, and going by the description of Phanes's war with the Seven Sovereings, not only did they not expand their territory outside of Teyvat, but went out of their way to form a barrier between Teyvat and the outside world, there is also the Seelie's connection to the Three Moons (Which can't have been Shades of Phanes because i heavily suspect the actual Shades are Time, Life, Death and Space, i am basing this out of the basic names of each artifact, what they're said to represent and the tidbits about Istaroth the Time God/Shade and about Phanes creating life with one of it's Shades)
    I think to fulfill all these conditions Seelies would have had to be around before the Dragon Lords and the humans they guided would have had to all be killed during whatever calamity befell them

    i'm in the process of watching, but one of my running theories is that azhdaha is the old geo dragonheir.
    he was sealed away after being defeated by the primordial gods, and then found again by morax, who set him free and gave him sight.
    it explains to me how he fell victim to erosion much earlier than morax is one of the oldest gods in current teyvat and was apparently fine at the time. i believe it also makes sense as to why the geovishaps emerged now of all times as he is referred to as "sealed lord of vishaps." since the bindings morax (NOT the primordial gods, who buried him under the earth) put on him came loose.
    the one thing that i think backs me up on this is the fact that the adventurer's guild has no clue what the geovishaps are, and asks us to investigate on that very early quest in the game for the primo geovishap. considering how ancient vishaps seem to be and how celestia attempted to keep their existence a secret (apparently at least), it's understandable that they don't know.
    this also adds an interesting layer to morax and azhdaha's relationship, because it proves the dragons and the gods can coexist peacefully if they so choose.

    There's a NPC who says that Khenriah stole the book. The NPC in question says that he was one of the bodyguard for the book could this be the reason for khenriah's destruction as they found out the true history of the world and Celestia framed gold ad calling them out with the book as the reason would attract attention towards the book and someone else might attempt at stealing it.
    I think this because as Enjou mentioned the Serpent was also punished for reading the book

    • @sorange5252
      @sorange5252 2 роки тому +9

      The issue is that Khaenri'ah was destroyed 500 years ago, but the book was stolen thousands of years ago. But you do raise a good point - Khaenri'ahs destruction could have been the result of the knowledge they knew rather than because of alchemy directly, however there's unlikely to be any direct link between the cataclysm 500 years ago and enkanomiya (especially considering that we literally have the abyss order looking for the sun and moon book in the main enkanomiya quest). What I think is more likely and have seen discussed before is that khaenri'ah (more specifically, gold) discovered some great truth with her alchemy that in turn led celestia to destroy the whole nation, or alternatively gold's efforts with alchemy alerted celestia to the fact that gold knew wayyy to much about them. the name "primordial human project" definitely suggests that she knows some stuff about teyvat's history, and she probably would have started it before the cataclysm. Although that begs the question - if Celestia's destruction of khaenri'ah was focused on gold, why does she still live? Or at least was living a few years ago in game? Although if it was because of celestia framing gold that would explain it...

    • @Ren_rz
      @Ren_rz 2 роки тому +3

      @@sorange5252 i think the Primordial Human Project is based off the travelers not the Primordial one who came to teyvat. And yes if Gold is still alive then it would mean that Celestia's focus of attack wasn't Gold but Khenriah itself. And the logic of she survived the attack on Khenriah doesn't make sense as Celestia hasn't made any moves for 500 years
      It is possible that they're unable to detect her because of the "Heart of Nebariua" which could mean two things
      1. That the heart is in fact not a Gnosis
      Or
      2. The Gnosis aren't for Sirvalance over the Gods
      As for the book that Enjou was looking for could be in 3 possible locations
      1. Enkanomiya since he started looking there, he must have some intel on its whereabouts
      2. Khenriah, thus would in turn imply that the abyss order isn't based ( their HQ isn't there) in Khenriah and that they might be operating either from one of the 7 nations or they're situated in the Dark Sea
      3. Celestia, this one's the most likely as if Khenriah did obtain the book i doubt Celestia peopl would just leave it in some rubble

      I remember this World quest, it was Ema's 5 lost books right? If I remember correctly the Khanriahns that came to steal the book were diplomatic envoys and had guards assigned to protect them, these guards were also the same ones framed for stealing the book. One of them, the hot headed one, broke out to prove their innocence. He caught up to the Khanrians and ended up dying defeating a Ruin Guard , that Ruin Guard once defeated ended up falling on the book where it stayed until you retrieved it for the World quest. As far as Khanriah knew, the people they sent failed to get the book and it was lost since everyone who knew where it last was died on the last day of Enkanomiya, right before everyone moved to the surface. That's also why the Pyro Lectern came searching for the book in Enaknomiya, because it's last location was somewhere there either returned to the library or somewhere in the ruins.

    for the most part i agree, however phanes did not create the celestia we have now. instead, celestia is the "second throne" that came. war started and instead of phanes winning like it was mentioned in "before sun and moon", whatever entity that created celestia won and locked humanity away from phanes, thus creating the fake sky. it would be weird for phanes to "put a ban" on the people in the dark sea to not come out of it, wouldn't it? as it was mentioned in before sun and moon "as long as humanity was happy, it too rejoiced.", therefore it would not make much sense for phanes to purposefully lock away humanity even if it was not his that he created. considering that genshin's story has roots in valentinian gnosticism and therefore christianity, phanes is comparable to the true god of the new testament, who is a benevolent, forgiving and all-loving entity, in contrast to the old testament's god, the false god, who is ruthless, strict and vengeful. this is why i also believe that phanes could be considered the true god of teyvat/whatever world teyvat is located in and that the celestia that we have now is the false god, the god of the old testament. going back to before sun and moon, when the author of the book described phanes as the victorious one in the war, that might have just been the personal view of the author or simply them being in denial that phanes has departed. i believe this to be true because it wouldn't otherwise make much sense, taking into account everything i've said so far about this. there is a great reddit thread explaining this belief (i can link it here in the replies, of course). to further back up this belief, if we take a look at valentinian gnosticism once again and use the comparison (comparison? i couldn't think of any other word, apologies) of celestia being the demiurge and phanes being the primal father (monad if i remember correctly, i might be mistaken with the name) then it further disproves that the celestia we have right now has been in some way created by phanes.

      yeah that's the detail people seem to keep getting hung up on. when i read the book the detail that stuck out to me was the mention of a second throne appearing which started the archon war. implying a second set of gods showed up, started a war, won, and then subjugated the creations (humans) of the first gods and wiped the memory of their true origin so they could take credit for and rule over them.
      at least for right now, this seems to be likely a piece of the puzzle for the saying "what is the truth of this world". but i don't think its the whole story yet. the stuff about the elements and their origin from this new update i find more interesting, though i don't think we can draw a solid conclusion just yet.

    I took a bit of Latin so I there’s still a chance I’m wrong but I would translate “iuvant angeli fideles” as the faithful/constant messengers aid (us). The nt at the end of iuvant means that the subject of the sentence is plural, and Angeli and fideles can be nom masculine thus fitting the requirements. There are a few different was to translate each word but it’s good to keep in mind that word order doesn’t really matter in Latin. As a person who studied Latin poetry, it can suck.
    -alt translation bc fideles can be acc plural “the messengers/angels aid the faithful” I think this works and might fit better since this can be a noun.

    • @helenlane5879
      @helenlane5879 2 роки тому +3

      The second line is much harder for me to figure out tbh. Discite, audi, and tace are all commands. I think this is referring to vos (you all). So who ever wrote this is giving advice to the readers(?). The connection to voltis (which should probably be vultis btw) is sei which can mean if so my best translation would be Be silent, listen, (and) learn y’all if you wish. It seems like there should be more connecting to this sentence but if not maybe there’s some interpretation out there that makes sense. This can seem nitpicky (Srry) but making sure the grammar is right might help with some confusion along the line.

    • @drachenhexer
      @drachenhexer 2 роки тому +1

      Ok, I tried to translate it too. My dictionary only translates latin to german, but I think I can do the german to english part without any troubles:
      According to my dictionary "angeli" can also translate to divine messengers/ angles. I also think that fideles is a noun, so your second translation is probably correct. (I can't really imagine, that the writers at Mihoyo leaave out a pronoun as ancient poets did to enhance their poetry)
      The second sentence I am not sure about myself. It really feels like some punctuation marks are missing. In any case, my dictionary knows no difference between voltis and vultis, it should both be correct. Vos and vo(u)ltis are both second person and plural so they should belong together. The sentence should probably be written like this in order to make some more sense: "Discite, vos voltis sei. tace, audi.", with a translation similar to yours: "learn, if you want! Be silent and listen!" It would actually make some sense since, in order to learn you have to be silent and you have to listen.
      As Aster said: The civilisation on Sal Vindagnyr once prospered with celestias help. The divine messengers were from celestia and they also said/wrote the second phrase. When the people of Sal Vindanyr stopped being faithful and to listen, they also stopped being silent and questioned the gods. Celestia didn't like that, so they killed them and realised, that they can't give humans too much power/knowledge. That's also why they needed the seven archons to get more control over the world.

    I don't quite agree to the "Phanes created Celestia" part. Phanes as well as the 4 shades have been heavily stated as the 1st throne and in easier context for Enkanomya people, "the True god." The 2nd throne is obviously Celestia who defeated the first throne and then secluded everyone of the first civilization underground since they hold the truth of this world. Only Celestia would do civilization-ending scenarios if it means they can keep their identity, we can see this from Skyfrost Nail incident(trying to reach god), Khaenriah(trying to overcome god), and now Enkanomiya(the civilization that predates god) so it would make more sense if they are the 2nd throne and sealing Enka for the sake of hiding the first god of Teyvat.
    It really wouldn't make sense why Phanes would seal Enkanomiya and why Phanes is not responding to the prayers of the people of Enkanomiya if they are allied to Celestia unless they died fighting Celestia as well as the 3 shades leaving Kairos the 4th shade to take care of Enkanomiya hence why the people of Enkanomiya sees Kairos as the only god that heard their prayers after the 2nd thrones invasion. This would make sense why the people of Khaenriah and Enjou are looking for the Before Sun and Moon since it holds the true identity of Celestia NOT being the true original rulers of Teyvat.

    Hmm... Interesting, but...
    IMO, Teyvat already had humans to begin with and a creator with angels managing stuff. Celestia is a alien authority that has overthrown the real Divine and taken on the title of "The Divine". I say this bcoz this ties much into things said in Gnosticism. IDK much so I am also speculating.

    Not gonna lie but that story where Teyvat was once ruled by Dragons before Celestia came reminded me of Warhammer Fantasy's creation mythology where their world was too once ruled by the Dragons until a race of god like beings called the Old Ones came to the world and nurtured new races which unfortunately costed the superiority of the Dragons.

    Great general summary of events. The only thing I don't agree with is Phanes winning the war against the second throne, presumably Celestia. I think Phanes was defeated (not entirely destroyed) and gave Istaroth the order to remain in Enka so that the shade would not become another casualty.

    I still fcked over with the world timeline but theorizing about phanes is kinda fun:
    1. Phanes might be not an entity, it can be space ship, just like dainichi no mikoshi is a machine but people refer it as some kind of divine entity. The egg phanes originated from might be that said technology in space ship, thus able to make bubble universe, that makes the 4 shades as the scientist/foreign humanoid that operates "Phanes" consisted of both male & female members. We see 5 rings in the domain, probably refer to phanes & 4 shades.
    2. The cloaked figures shown when venti talk about celestia might be the remaining 3 shades as 4th, a.k.a god of time choose to help humanity of teyvat & never left until later on
    3. God of time have strong ties to thousand winds & anemo, thus make venti's response to celestia MAKE SENSE, since venti is part of thousand winds thus make him somehow related to kairos (god of time) it's like knowing your relatives have bad co worker, and you are not allowed to talk about that said co worker bcs now they are your boss
    He might be seal kairos away to keep her from harms way or kairos did it herself to not giving venti the same fate as orobashi. My friend theorized that why time in abyss and teyvat differ is because kairos kinda seal away abyss/khaenriah in different time so another war won't happen but it seems now a war is approaching nonetheless
    4. cross Honkai theory: phanes might be project ark, they found a new habitable place to live (bcs fck native inhabitants) and with their utility they make the universe separated from other reality to protect them from honkai detection, after that, making things suitable for themselves and rule over with prospect of making a good n jolly forever civilization.
    The twins are the ARK from ANOTHER UNIVERSE so there are 2 aliens from 2 different world here residing in teyvat!

    Aster, what do you think of the ending of the Zhongli quest, where he consigns the salt chalice and ruler to the sea?
    It's almost as if it symbolic of the travelers and...the god of time, represented by Zhongli in this case ?
    Notice how he weirdly states that these objects are to be put to sleep, with them flying similarily as the travelers in the intro.
    He also mentions that time is a powerful force.
    See the whole scene, as some videos skip the conversation straight to the consigning.

    to my understanding, and my apologies if i am wrong(which I may be, I don't fully understand things very well), after reading some theory articles about the present lore + past info, it seems related to gnosticism. Phanes is the real God, he removed the seven dragons(side note and personal theory here, i believe the fragment zhongli turned into azdaha may have been a remaining part of one of the 7 dragons phanes removed) who were to my understanding kinda cruel?(not sure I read something that visions got birthed from this residual elemental energy of dragons and that would be the source, unsure though, I read quite a few things recently and it's all a bit messy in my head). anyway, phanes created the world, humans and what not, with seelies being a species akin to angels(?), that similarly guided humans. Celestia came from the outside(fake god) and started a war(the 3 moons thing probably crashed around this time during the fight, I'm not sure), collapsing enkanomiya under, where the heirs of dragons hid after phanes defeated the originals. One of the 4 shades created the hellos, but humans there started this fake belief with children ruling over them, that were sacrificed/incinerated. it was a mess and orobashi later overthrew this form of government ( I have no clue what to call it) and became their deity/ruler. I believe the archons and gods that guided humans, like zhongli and venti are unrelated to Celestia, much like orobashi, and were born in teyvat, but after the war, most likely somewhere between eras, so they don't know the full truth about the past(most likely why they have been deceived themselves and accepted to fight idk, this part is my own thoughts on it), but orobaxi, who retreated underground during the archon war, did found out and was eliminated(not directly, I understood sth about concocting a plan so his people would not be punished along with him and seem as if he went mad). it's speculated Celestia didn't want any competition and that's why they offered the position of archons to keep an eye and get full control over them and humans. the enkanomiya and kaenri'ah were in the same period but seems the kaenri'ah ppl were regarded as untrustworthy for some reason. anyway, if any of the info I read is true and understood correctly, zhongli, venti and the original archons had nothing to do with Celestia, they were just as much lied and made to fight, and the weaker were removed. Celestia wants full control and seems they only destroy nations not for being advanced, but for getting close to the truth. at least that's what I understand from what I read, as a timeline. I continue to believe Celestia is the only villain. this makes more sense to me either way.
    of course this is still just theory I read, and how I understood things. I am a bit biased in refusing to believe the (original) archons, which I don't think they're related to Celestia, ever wanted to control humans through lies. I think still, it was enforced through deceit and ...whatever contracts went on there(zhongli won't say). unrelated, and my personal theory, I think their "demon lore" names are from Celestia, their real name may be the ones they use separately(it fits the region idk).
    again, this is just my understanding after reading a few explanations on the timeline so far. I have to catch up with books myself.

    After we complete the quest in Enankomiya where we complete the 3 trials for knowledge and we can ask whatever we want, the man(I forgot his name) hints that there very well may be humanoid Bathysmal Vishaps that have their own language out there because of how extraordinarily adaptable they are. He said he wouldnt even be surprised if that were the case. It's already confirmed that one of their lords, the Dragon of Water, will be reborn as a human too. And it is also said that they have the ability to learn more and improve linguistic capacities. Maybe we will see these humanoid lizard people in the future, I would be excited to see it. I'd also like to learn more about the Vishap realm. Also I have a theory that it was the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles that fought the Primordal One, and that Paimon is the god of time due to what Enjou said just before he disappeared and a couple of other things. I think it would be interesting if Paimon turns out to be a bad guy but let's be honest I don't think Mihoyo would have the balls to do that so it would most likely mean that Istaroth has memory loss like Guoba did or she was meant to watch over the Traveler during their time in this world to observe us with no real bad intentions. Also there is a theory that Istaroth is one of the four shining shades of the Primordial One so maybe it was the Primordial One who sent her.

    Also, I find it quite bizarre that such a cool area and so many deep (haha, puns!) lore implications are hidden behind a side quest that's hidden behind another side quest. Then again... Mihoyo tucked away the more obscure bits and pieces of the lore in optional/ limited content from the very beginning so perhaps I shouldn't be surprised.
