Like the lying down a good strand of the seeds, instead of being so finicky. Having trouble with astrantia and verbena bonariensis seed not germinating. Should I leave them in the seed raising mix and continue to wait or try again in winter? BTW, I never use hand creme....but I do have callouses and no fingerprints.....those are the hands of a true gardener,..😊 Jo from New Zealand. Spring is here!
We all have oils in our skin when we sweat which is the same. But I get exactly what you are saying. It takes about a week away for my hands to be clean 😅 Enjoy your gardening and have a great spring
Wow. I never thought about the hand cream. I collect seeds all the time. I always test the viability of said seeds. Sometimes, they grow sometimes not. If not, out they go. Thx for another great video.
Hi Rosy! EXCELLENT video! I don’t know if it’s my imagination but my 1st full year baptisia went right to seed. I don’t remember seeing the blue flowers as I had last year. Is it possible for plants to go right to seed? Thanks!
Great video again. This might be a silly question but on the grasses that you laid down in the seed tray in the tray that germinated is every blade of grass an actual plant or do you use the whole clump for one plant? Thanks Deb.

It is unlikely for them to go straight to seed. Flowers can be hidden by lush growth and also not last long, so you miss seeing them.

Every blade will be a new plant. We normally take a pinch which would mean about 3-5 plantlets potted up

You can always broadcast into the garden, however success rate varies depending on the critters around who may eat it all…

Double flowered forms rarely give much seed. Also hybrid plants tend not to come true from seed, so cuttings are the best way forward.
