Had an issue with the original upload, the last few minutes were lagging heavily! Apologies to confuse everyone with a second upload!
Just a reminder that I'm doing the Race for Life in June, raising money for Cancer Research UK. If anyone would like to donate, here is my link: fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/toms-race-for-life-37894861

Thanks for the film, lots of helpful tips. Your fishing films have got me back into fishing after a long absence. Really like your shop as well. I remember visiting an angling shop there 50 years ago with my brother and father...don't think you were behind the counter then😂

🤣 No, despite what I feel, that out dates me a bit!
I'm glad you like the videos, and especially pleased to hear they've encouraged you to wet a line again. That makes it all worth while for me, so thank you for sharing.

Plenty fish plenty fun - thats what its all about - I used to fish the south coast a lot in the 70s and early eighties until moving to Australia with the family. Did a lot of beach comps as a junior angler with the Bournemouth & district sea angler association. Im really enjoying these vids and the enjoyment of reminiscing is blowing my mind with all these locations 🤪😵‍💫😎 Please keep 'em cominn 🤩 Kind regards Alex. P.S the fishing does seem so much better now over there.

      Hi Alex,
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos.
Yes, I believe the fishing has been better over the last few years than it ever has in my lifetime. Which is a wonderful thing to be able to say.

If you say it i worship your opion, I would love a rod you designed, for my husband who is addicted to your channel 😂😂, bagnell bars should be in every shop , he loved the small tripod and bait table , please keep the videos coming 😊

      Thank you 😁
I'm working on something to get Bagnall Bars available to all shops. We already send them all around the globe, from America to New Zealand via South Africa!
Not sure about the rod though, that could do with a bit more work!

That one trip sums up everything I enjoy about fishing. Catching a couple of nice Rays, the view sunset being outdoors but most importantly the company of friends.

Will the FT1 make an appearance in the shop rod rack ? Part rod / part water diviner and it appeared to be doing the 2nd bit quite well..
Another brilliantly successful video , thank you 👍

    That wasn’t a bad session.
I love that folding rod you built, I’ll have to get myself an FT1 😂
Do Veret still make the Stellanera?

      @christchurchanglingcentre5428  7 місяців тому +1

It was a fun session. Shame about the prototype. 🤣
I've actually been trying to convince Veret to bring the Stella back. It was such a popular rod.

Hi mate. There's lots of good quality monos on the market these days, but I tend to flick between the Tronixpro Blaze (0.25), Fox Exocet Orange (0.26) or the Asso Tapered Line (0.26). I think anything around 0.25 to 0.28 is perfect for nearly all open beach work, apart from the snaggiest of terrains. I've used it everywhere from Kent to the Bristol Channel. It offers the perfect balance of thin enough to cast a good distance, but thick enough to land anything we're likely to catch. I can hand on heart say I've never been snapped up by a fish. I will happily drop down to 0.20 mainline when fishing for plaice, especially if distance is important, like at Chesil for example. A lot of my summer light fishing is done with 0.20 too.
