Your a national treasure, keep on producing the vlogs, they are a lot more professional and entertaining than some of the other “ fishing “ channels out there
I run a youth angling club and we have several young ladies in the group. Our beach championship for the past two years has been won by the same talented young woman. She also holds several youth club record fish! Another great video Gem - enjoy Norway!
Love the videos mate keep them coming..I like your conger vids but watch them all..I've learnt so much of you for catching mister Conger on the Fowey ..Great rigs and tactics 👍
Well done that's your best one yet 👍👌 there is one more female on UA-cam that fishes and she calls herself FISHING HINNY. She knows her stuff too so worth a watch if you get time. Keep up the good work x
Wow, thanks Karl for the feedback - I got a better tripod and worked on the editing more so pleased the effort shows. Thanks also for the pointer to fishing hinny, I’ll check that channel out!
Loving the channel Gem great work! A really good addition to subscriptions after Wayne's shorehunter channel, you folks are so good for the wellbeing of people too far from the sea👌👌
Much appreciated! Thanks for the sub. I am looking forward to watching Wayne’s videos from our Norway trip, even though I’ve seen most of what he caught so far lol.
There were more ladies fishing the EOBC this year, which was nice to see. Fishing Hinny is a female angler on UA-cam. Her passion for angling is fantastic and well worth a watch.
Subscription added, well done on finding a couple of plaice. Very nice OTG cast you have too. It’s not sea but Amie fly fish has a very funny and unique channel.
Hi Gem, glad I have found your channel, it's nice to see a female angler, am an avid follower of the shore hunter channel also. One thing I have noticed from this video and my own experiences is, other beach users, they seem to have very little awareness and a lot of disregard for angling activities, where on the other hand anglers seem to go out of their way to not inconvenience anyone else. I think you took the canine activity with your shelter very calmly, great vlog, keep it up, I will be back 😊
Yes it’s not just dog walkers. Swimmers and other water users don’t seem to be aware that being near people fishing could pose a danger to them. Super pleased to hear you’ll be coming back to my channel! Thank you.
Hi Gem ive been watching your videos and subscribed. They are as good (and in lots of cases better) than many of the other channels. Well done on catching the plaice . That's one of my favourite venues to fish for plIce as Brighton gets packed and other beach goers tend to take over. I fished Eastbourne in similar conditions a week ago. I managed seven plaice and cracking sole in daylight. They too were at range. Keep up the good work and well done on the informative professional video. Tight lines👍👍
Hy Gem,,good video and a pleasure to watch,,like yourself Plaice and all flatfish is a top species hunt along with Bass for myself nowadays,,been stuck on the Wessex rig a couple of years now with decent success but defo gonna give that torpedo rig a go,,👍anyway good luck in Norway cheers and tightlines ,Gary Mc ,,River Mersey land,,👍🎣💥
Thanks Gary. Really pleased to hear you enjoyed the video. Hopefully Norway will bring some decent fish along. Hoping I get a nice big cod! Hehe. I hope the torpedo rig works for you.
Hi great videos great to see the place going back I am wondering what type of rods you using with the multiployer as you seem to be able to see the bites looks like a nice set up. Thanks John.
They are Tronixpro Competition Performance, the two peice model. Perfect for targeting plaice and schoolies, and the like. Lovely rods. I use them for most of my fishing.
Hi Gem only just found your channel today. I was telling my little boy about you the other day who is 5. We caught his first flounder 2 weeks ago together and I was saying that we need to get learning from you haha. Saw you over on Wayne's channel and thought you really know your stuff. You speak so well on camera as well. I would be fumbling my words like mad. All the best from up Yorkshire! Can't wait to see your channel grow this year. 10k subs by the end of the year? Easy! Smash it Gem! I met Fishing Hinny this year out fishing last year before I knew she had a channel and then found her 6 months after on here.
That is awesome! Well done to your lad on his first flounder. I hope he gets hooked on the sport. I think speaking to a camera is a bit like giving a talk to people. I used to lecture and present at conferences so you get used to talking in front of people.
Good question. Yes, when I am fishing on sand I get a lot of trouble. So there I so a sort of over head thump. Sometimes on very large pebbles it can be an issue, but there I am just careful with my lead placement.
Hi from NZ enjoyed your Vlog Great vid and audio Interesting commentary very professional, interesting and informative ,Ex Kent pat Subbed & liked Well done shall view all your vids
So cool to see you fishing ,my wife is a great angler. I make the rigs she baits up catches ,casts, and un hooks the fish she could benefit from casting tuition from you any ideas Barry from havant hants
Hi Jed thanks for watching. What did you want to see in a tutorial? I posted a video showing how to make it. Happy to help with any more info if needed.
When was that,Gem? Fished in very different conditions on Sunday at Church of good Shepherd, only a couple of rockling and whiting in 5hrs. Hopefully the easterlies and high pressure will help to clear the water. Looking forward to seeing your next adventure.
Nice vid gem, quick question when you off the ground with a grip lead do you have any problems with the grip wires unclipping or how do you lay the lead on the deck
I use the same OTG cast when I don’t have room to pendulum cast. If you position the lead inside the tip like Gem does the pickup is instant and the lead won’t drag and trip the wires. Just keep a tight line to the lead. Gemini solos and SRT springs for multi hook rigs are very handy when ground casting.
I don’t know about the law and dogs, but I do know about dogs, bait and hooks. Nearly had one eat my oiled and salted lug that day too. The owner I think would have learned a lesson if consumption had occurred. I’d not want to see the end result!
Great fishing channel enjoy watching your rim and fishing fantastic.
Thanks David 👍 appreciate your feedback 😄
Great video Gem. Looking forward to watching your videos in Norway. I'm going in July. I hope to pick up some tips from you
Good luck!!

Hi...I'm a newbie. Its great to see another female fishing. I hope you make some rig tutorials.
Welcome! I put a few rig making videos up, and I am sure I’ll do more over the coming months. Thanks for watching.
Lovely day for it 😊
Yes it was! So pleased I finally managed to target some plaice.

Another cracking watch Gem. Just one question, do you ever have trouble with the gripper wires releasing/tripping when casting from the ground?
Good question. Yes, when I am fishing on sand I get a lot of trouble. So there I so a sort of over head thump. Sometimes on very large pebbles it can be an issue, but there I am just careful with my lead placement.

It was Sunday. I got to the beach just gone 9:00 and it was beautiful! Chopped up quite a bit as the session went on.
We fished 11:30-4:30, should have got up earlier!!!
Hopefully there will be some settled weather and better plaice conditions soon. Good luck next time you’re out.

I do have trouble on the sand. So I do a kind of overhead thump. On larger pebbles I am just more careful with my lead placement.
Hinney has a utube chanel she is based the North east i also enjoy her vidios aswel as Waynes and yours
Thank you Peter for the info and for watching. Super pleased to hear you’ve been enjoying the videos. Plenty more to come!
Whereabout this in Brighton?😊
Near Brighton along the coast.
Brighton is the plaice to be.
Oh yeah. I hope to get down there soon, when I am back from Norway.
Not in the uk, based in Ireland but just started a new channel hoping to get more women out, only fishing 8 years but love it!
Kasting Karen on utube
I’ll take a look at your channel. Thanks for sharing the info.
Do you eat your catch
I don’t like fish 🤣 but my wife eats them.
I had happend to the other day and had my squid nicked by a mutt.i thought it was law to keep dogs on a lead when walking on the beach.
I don’t know about the law and dogs, but I do know about dogs, bait and hooks. Nearly had one eat my oiled and salted lug that day too. The owner I think would have learned a lesson if consumption had occurred. I’d not want to see the end result!
FISHING HINNY, TYNE SIDE AREA.SHE IS GOOD.
Thanks Ken.
@ClickBaitGem keep the good work up, enjoy the chanel, relaxing, nice.
Fishing Hinny

Sorry to hear that.
I used to watch the shore Hunter but stopped because he sounds like he's talking to children.
Sorry to hear you’ve not enjoyed his videos.
Gem, I really enjoy his channel but now watch on mute.
I thinks it's Turkana fishing that is a woman fisher person
Thanks.
Check out ‘Fishing Hinny’ another great female led sea fishing channel.
I will check it out, thanks for the info.
There is a Geordie lass with a fishing channel @fishinghinny
