    The reason Animal Collective sounds so indescribable is because Avey Tare is influenced by so many obscure sounds from so many eras. What's crazy though is that you can hear a ton of Animal Collectives sound traits in the songs played in this video.

    5:13 That cover looks like it was the inspiration for Fleet Foxes' second album cover.
    Wait, I actually looked it up and both covers feature details of paintings done by Pieter Brueghel the Elder, a dutch/flemish painter.

      Rainer-Wilfried Kasuppke This maybe says more about me, but i’m surprised you know Bosch but not Brueghel. I believe Brueghel was influenced by Bosch when it comes to composition but their themes are mostly different. Brueghel did more everyday stuff and I think he influenced the ”Golden age” painters in the netherlands

    • @Sapsche
      @Sapsche 5 років тому

      @@RayasNegroOvejas I can't recall when I first saw Bosch's paintings, I think it was in school, might have been religion class. So I visited some Bosch-exhibitions in our city, but I've never been confronted with Brueghel somehow. Maybe Bosch is more publicly known.
      Btw I'm looking at paintings and I definetly have seen his _Tower of Babel_ several times, it's a little sad that I never made the connection.
