Fortunately I don't have back pain anymore but I still come back to your channel just because I enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for the excellent content dear gentlemen.
Get to the point. A person who’s dealing with a torn muscle is not interested in your off topic, prolonged, painfully, unfunny rambling routine. Fixing muscle tears is the problem we hope to fix. Comedy is hard.
Now I know even Bob, who's old enough to be my dad, is in better shape than I am. You guys can't fix a broken heart but you sure are good at making one.
I have had lower back surgery, multiple synovial cysts removed and a recent MRI with my neurosurgeon is proved that those were successful. I have recently had a tear of both my right butt cheek, this was the point of entry to remove a synovial cyst by my neurosurgeon approximately a year and a half ago. Just prior to covid, unfortunately in my area just about everything shut down no knowledge and everyone was scared. I had the misfortune of a reverse total shoulder, and a repeat surgery. Just this year. The shoulder is doing excellent. Because of the shoulder and my left arm being sling, I was transferring my laundry from Wasser to my dryer, and in doing that. Using my left and I was reaching! And that reaching actually caused stitches and my muscles in that area of the synovial cyst above my right hip. That was the point of entry for that operation and to my misfortune that area tore and it has been extremely painful. Just yesterday I received a CT lumbar spine with contrast, this proved that my spine has no further damage and so now what I'm dealing with his muscular tissues and the repair of those tissues. I watched you guys for years and would love to have you give me some ideas on how to find a suitable Dr. that could possibly help with the repair or exercises that will help me get back on my feet. Dan PS-your help is much appreciated
2:39 PRICE method 2-5 days (Protect, Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) 3:02 massages...can use massage gun for convenience 9:02 gradually increase stress on the muscle as it gets better Jesus get to the point. Watched this at 2x speed and still too long
Rubbing across the muscle works! I just tried in on the crease of my arm or the antecubital fossa area of the arm, and it provided immediate relief from a strain muscle.
I’m with Bob on the two speeds “off and zoom”… hence why I’m viewing this video 😂. Great stuff guys. Your videos are so helpful to this 53yr old who’s still trying to compete 👏🏻
Love the timing of this video! I'm dealing with the allergy to Ciproflaxicin which gives tendonitis in a lot of places, and a tear I think above my knee. I've pre-ordered the new easy to hold looking fun gun and I'm working my Renpro! Thank you so much for teaching me cross fiber massage. It definately helped my calf but my hand felt too weak to do much with my achilles and knee. Spent one day with my arm in a sling so this machine will keep me from overusing it while massaging everywhere else :D
Thanks guys, your video came up on my UA-cam feed this morning in the UK 🇬🇧 and it's just what's happened to my knee joint. Wow! Protect, rest, ice, compress and elevate. Thanks 👍 from Sam in Newmarket UK
Hey my favorite Physical Therapist on the internet, in my opinion. Do you guys have any tips for oblique and ab strains? Great content thanks for providing free healing advice. Thank you for helping us move away from pain. Sincerely, keep it going and God bless.
Could you make a video about leg shapes please that is knocked knees, bow legs, false curvature and normal, I would want it to include 1. How to identify your leg shape 2. Exercises and stretches to help get a normal leg shape(to fix the leg shape make it be normal) Etc add more things too Please!!!
Do you often see a muscle tear in the abdominal wall? I seem to have a pretty deep tear in my upper abdominal on the right side, and I didn’t know if that was common
Thanks guys! For about 6 months I’ve been dealing with pain shooting down one leg of the other. I was diagnosed with early degenerative disc disease. L5-S1. But nothing major found. My PT says I have a tilted pelvis. Every morning as soon as I put weight down I start hurting and it feels like my Piriformis, hamstring, hip flexor and I T are locking up. Are there any exercises or tips you guys have to awaken my dead butt LOL? 🙏🏻
It would have been nice if y'all had mentioned how a strain or tear is diagnosed. Should we visit our primary doctor for some kind of scan? Can an experienced massage therapist diagnose? Also, are there other symptoms such as part of, or the full length of your leg swelling? What if the pain moves from proximal to distal? Thank you for your videos, guys.
skybyrdy there are muscle tests that can be done to "confirm" a muscle/tendon vs ligament injury. Usually, a tear or strain will hurt when you put the muscle into its action with resistance. If it hurts, probably muscle strain. If you stretch the muscle and it hurts, usually a sprain. These are not complete tests. There are more, but these are pretty reliable. I'm a medical massage therapist and see strains often.
I recently had a severe muscle spasm which resulted in a torn adductor muscle my biggest complaint it the edema associated w it I have been massaging as you guys said but after 8 days I have no relief what do you suggest
Off and zoom bruh if that ain’t me I don’t know what is😂, I ran track my first year came in second place but once it ended I slacked off summer break now that school starting again I’m practicing early to get 1st but I think I over did it the first week an now all around the above my knee hurts and my caves plus my lower back(lower back feels sore) compared to my legs they just feel completely strained, dehydrated or like there suffocating (I don’t know how to explain the pain) I’m on my 6th water bottle and 2 hot baths and I I don’t know what else to do
If you get sharp pain on your calfs that come and go is that a muscle strain?i went and see a dr and he told me it was nothing (cause i was worried might be blood clots) and probably just muscular but this has been an issue for like 5 weeks
I’m really looking forward to the hamstring video. I had an upper hamstring tear (crazy painful) and am constantly coming across contradictory information about stretching vs not stretching the hamstrings. Very confusing.
Hey, I know this is off topic but I've been experiencing a burning sensation in my back for the past 6 years. It started off small in the lower back but as time passed it's gotten worse and it's now my entire back. The pain is excruciating and keeps me up at night especially since it gets worse when I lie down. Trying to get to a spine specialist but I have to wait for doctors referral. Has anyone had this problem? Please, I'm desperate
Can someone help me there are times but mostly when Im asleep I wake up because of very weak pain (it makes me on my calf muscle or foot or arms at night but it is rare for me to have while I'm awake
Is it just me or are Bob and Brad always looking in shape and good!!! Seems like this men haven’t aged in forever!!!
You're a good runner
Nikolai Vutasherkov lol thank you!
Haahahahahhaha this is true lmao!!!😂 they do seem to be the same age in every video😂

@@Binumoll44 works good. Been using it for almost a year now
That theme song every time you end up back on UA-cam after picking up another injury 😩

Does the Helio pet light help heal muscle tears? It's used on dogs and cats and some people say they use it on themselves.

Some people in general don't know the difference between tears, sprains and strains do you two have a video on the differences on those?
You two help us aging athletes so much. This episode was needed and the craziness between you two had me in fits of laughter.
I have the gun, and just pulled or tore the middle part of my quad. What pain level from 1-10 should I set the massager at?
Do you often see a muscle tear in the abdominal wall? I seem to have a pretty deep tear in my upper abdominal on the right side, and I didn’t know if that was common
Cool I saw your guys UA-cam commercial add . While clicking on your video !
Where can I find your podcasts? I need something to listen to on my drives.😁
How about back muscle or neck muscle tears
Keep updating evidence based approaches BoB and Brad

Awesome 👏 guys
Where do you purchase the Bob & Brad massager?
Does this work for an oblique strain, too? I'm still really sore after a week, though it's feeling incrementally better the past couple of days.
I recently had a severe muscle spasm which resulted in a torn adductor muscle my biggest complaint it the edema associated w it I have been massaging as you guys said but after 8 days I have no relief what do you suggest
How are you supposed to massage a muscle like the rotator cuff

Torn ligament, keep stretching. I just noticed this was a yesr ago
Too many jokes

Too much useless talking. Better to show pictures of torn muscle before and improvement after each "solution".

You are both shouting, in our culture you should speak in a moderate voice and keep your voice low, unless you want to tell a LIE!
Well they're not in your culture, they're in the good old USA 🇺🇸 👍
Don’t fault them. They are seniors and don’t realize because hearing is failing.
